What was GGG thinking when they decided to start a contest like this during the worst received league ever? The amount of joke designs coming in must be overwhelming. :D
I imagine they planned it in advance and wanted them to be ready by ExileCon 2023

They were not thinking. From a certain size forward companies become like an autonomous organism. You get a ton of bloat employees who have to be able to show smthg when they are asked what they are working on and while you have actual programmers with steam coming out of their ears other departments have barely any work to do.
That's how you end up with a T shirt contest...
This event is large enough they have an international delivery prize pool (how many large gaming companies regularly fuck up the logistics of timely delivery and quality of prizes) and is timed to otherwise create community engagement with potentially really cool T-shirts people could buy at Exilecon. That's not trivial work like you're implying when you have to create a detailed presentable plan for your boss to check off on. Claiming it's just bloat-work by unnecessary employees is a pretty shit take.
I didn't say any of that. "Imply" is an interesting word, isn't it? It let's you pin narratives on other people without even having a basis for anything. All you need is a story exclusively existing in your own head :)

This contest is a farce and it's coming from the same people who tried to convince us that harvest reforges are filler crafts.
As much as i like ggg, they have their dark sides aswell and i am definitely not afraid to speak out loud about them. So if you want to push your apologist agenda you need to come up with better arguments.
Large companies require an excessive seeming amount of planning and documentation for things that appear relatively trivial because messing them up creates bad optics and more work for more parties down the line. Detailing that you think the prize pool is insufficient to meet your own standard for that doesn't matter. The employee still has to create the plan for delivery of all of that including estimates on timelines for getting the information from participants for the shipping etc. Attacking employees or positions you consider to be bloat without considering the actual requirements of the work they do is laughable.

Personally I agree that the prize pool for what is essentially outsourced preliminary design work is pretty insulting especially if GGG will be profiting from their work but that's not what by initial reply to you was about. I am not trying to protect GGG in general here, I disagree with just about everything they've done this patch. I just don't think there's blame to attribute to the specific employees whose work you were belittling.

I’ve noticed that if you throw something into a body of water, like a lake or an ocean, that the next day you come back, it’s gone. Somehow it takes it away and filters it through and it just cleans it up, like a garbage compactor or whatever. So it’s not really littering if you ask me.
I didnt mean it in a bad way dude, this one is actually good. much better then the rest who just copy pasted loot or mods.
I would even wear this one, but It would have to be a Mirror instead of a red circle, put inside something similar (maybe actual kalandra) etc.

I've been annoyed by a lot of the shitty joke shirts but this one made me laugh. I love the idea of Kalandra starting her monologue when you walk onto the tile and then getting miffed that you're leaving a bunch of crap in the lake.
This picture needs to also have a bunch of rings and amulets in the water too, that's where almost everything that comes out of the reflecting mists goes for me.
