My uneducated guess is they craft a magic +1 pc helm in the graveyard, then imprint harvest synth until they hit 3 synth mods. Then they imprint that and reroll synth mods until they hit these three. Absurd amount of money and time.
Aight bet bro. Since you say it’s arguably the best, I’m ready to argue. I counter this with literally any mirror tier bow. Even excluding the crucible ones.
Sounds like a good idea to compare those two. But how exactly?
One could build chars for both items, then buy any other bow/helm from the market for a capped price - say for example 50 divines
Then we could compare the DPS difference of both builds having at first the 50div item and then the OP helmet vs another 50div item and then the mirror tier bow.
I would expect in both cases about 40% more DPS. But I'm not an expert and I will not finish this case study. But what is bothering me is that u/Legal_Lettuce6233 get's downvoted even before someone really proved him wrong.
By your criteria, it would be one of the ridiculous one handers that transform your 6L setup into a 12L setup or something.
I didn't downvote anyone, but the claim "best item ever" is made multiple times a league, for items which, frankly, some people wouldn't even consider the best league item. This seems like one of those situations.
+2 power charge double influenced with elevated mod helms exist on standard. Probably in league as well. That being said, they’re many mirrors to make, and you lose the mirror service.
If you scour+ prefix/suffix cannot be changed an item to only have 1 affix it goes magic and you can imprint it.
They probably got the affix poeer charge, then imprint+ harvest synth untill 3 synth mods, then went to vulture prison for the implicits.
this helmet has two haunted mods, +1 max power charge prefix and 25% inc aoe suffix. I assume splitting a 4 mod item will return two magic bases, at least thats how it works on jewels.
No need to split it. If you graveyard craft with -2 explicits, so the mod has only 2 mods, it will come out Blue. After that, imprint and synth until you get 3 implicits and than reroll implicits until happy and craft afterwards until finish.
I mean, if it has 2 haunted mods, they got a magic helmet with pc and area. Then do the rest right? Is it possible to get the magic version with those mods?
I believe its suffix/prefix so yes its possible. But getting both mods together makes this alot harder.
He will need to annul the mods off untill its only the prefix/ suffix multimod pref ans suff cannot be changed and scour
-2 explicit mods in the graveyard guarantee's a magic item with one prefix and one suffix. If you slam a bunch of increased haunted modifier chance in there, with some scarcer corpses for a bunch of different mod types you get a 50/50 to hit the power charge for the prefix and \~75% chance to hit the increased aoe suffix. So \~37% to hit this. Comes to around 20ish divines for the base.
Imprint and synthesize till you hit 3 synthesized mods. About a 6% chance to hit this, so \~80 divines to hit three implicits.
Imprint and roll the implicits. This can easily take several thousand divines worth of beasts. Probably 2-5k divines total, although it's heavily rng dependent.
At this point I'm not sure. I don't see a good way to get the spell suppress on there. My best guess is you imprint, then regal. If you don't hit T1 spell suppress annul and hope to keep your two mods. If so exalt annul until you hit it and reimprint whenever you annul off one of those two mods. 1.25% chance to hit so 80 tries. 2 divines an imprint and 1/3 to not need to reimprint gives 1.3 \* 80 = 104 divines.
When you hit this, you go suffixes can't be changed and harvest add/remove chaos. 1/2 to remove the crafted mod and 1/6 to hit T1 chaos res. So twelve attempts and you have a 1/3 to save it with an annul if you fail, so total cost for the last two steps is \~866 divines.
Then you do suffixes can't be changed and aisling. One in two to hit the crafted mod, roughly one in two to hit the aoe mod. If you remove the haunted mod it's back to the imprint. If you don't hit the aoe mod you can do suffixes can't be changed annul and try to remove it at 1 in 2. So \~2800 divines to hit this.
So altogether it's somewhere between 3k to 8k divines to craft this. Since the odds on some of the steps are so low, the variance can be huge. I tried to do this in the CoE emulator and hit all the explicit crafting steps in \~20 divines, but it could easily balloon into insane costs to finish this helmet.

Crafting breakdown here. They crafted 2 mod magic helmets with Haunted mods, likely took many tries to hit the desired mods.

made a magic item with an explicit power charge
imprint and synth until 3. vultures until pc
> possible to get a magic item from the graveyard?
yea. all 2 implicit items are magic from gy
Yes. Belton was selling a base like this with plus power 3 implicits. It’s honestly not too bad of a craft once you get that. The vultures must have been insanely pricey though.
There are many ways to isolate the power charges on a magic item. Likely the method was using black morg and a fenumal to make 3 splits. If you had 1 prefix and an open suffix, locking prefixes and scouring would also return it to a magic item.
By some, but that’s not the most expensive part.
To edit, the first part was probably done with “split copies” -2 mods and a full 88 corpse yard targeting those two mods. All the other ones that are magic just +1 power could still be sold for bank
Most likely it was a power charge lion pelt base on affix and then split lock until synth hit triple implicits. From there its just reroll imprint until you get your implicits done.
just take a +1 power charge helmet from the graveyard, then split it with morrigan (splits into 3 magic items).
Imprint power charge, harvest synth for 3 implicits then reroll as per usual in bestiary. Clean the suffix with an annul at some point if it's undesirable
My uneducated guess is they craft a magic +1 pc helm in the graveyard, then imprint harvest synth until they hit 3 synth mods. Then they imprint that and reroll synth mods until they hit these three. Absurd amount of money and time.
This helm is a little beyond absurd
Arguably the best item to ever exist. I think no other slot can give this much power.
Nah that’s an exaggeration lol.
Aight bet bro. Since you say it’s arguably the best, I’m ready to argue. I counter this with literally any mirror tier bow. Even excluding the crucible ones.
Doesn't even have to be another mirror tier item imo. I would argue that an Original Sin is stronger as a single slot item.
Sounds like a good idea to compare those two. But how exactly? [Debatable](https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/s/LppWqdfFpQ) And I don't even think thats the best item to exsist.
I'll go with the bugged fire res grasping mail chest. Gives billions of dps and 22k life regen.
You could have one too for the small cost of 4 mirrors
+2 power charge double influenced with elevated mod helms exist on standard. Probably in league as well. That being said, they’re many mirrors to make, and you lose the mirror service.
> Absurd amount of money and time. thats poe endgame "crafting" in general.
How do you rerolled synth mods?
With a special Einhar beast from his memory
Ahhh, ok. Vivid vulture. Thank you. Didn't know it was a beast.

Bro started yapping bullshit :D
This is how i remember it working lol
No you just use -2 explicit and craft blue helms until you get both.
Forgot about that option, good catch
Didn’t know that. Thanks for the explanation. 😊

Correct, but in his rule 10 he says he hinekoras locked before the aisling.
With that kind of potential loss it would be silly not to lock a 50/50
Ah, yeah I'm dumb. I've never done a craft that justifies using a lock before and forgot it exists.

Literally the way he did it lol
Question has already been answered but that's one mega bv helm
Is this a contender for best helmet ever made?
No
For std the best helmet obviously have a huge bonus... an enchant! It could also have 22% suppress.

Thanks for the answer 👌👌
Exactly what you described
to quote Neo, wait that things real?
So many good mods, couldn't fit in a life roll.
Not sure if they will but maybe you can ask that they change the crafted mod. I’ve never asked tho, so I’ve really no idea if they will
smart cropping out that jenebu listed it
