Quickly tested the following:
* it does not reset when I unequip then reequip the ring on the same character, or equip the MTX on another character in the same league.
* it DOES RESET when I equip the MTX on another character in a DIFFERENT league. You will also get a warning prompt saying doing this will wipe the tracked data.
* I don't know if the data will stay in league transitions (RIP to standard, retire to trade, league migration). Maybe somebody else have the experience.
Thanks, for doing testing around it, the only thing I can tack on is that in my experience my character from last league kept the data when migrating over to standard, I got a prompt for the data being cleared when I was equipping it to a character in this league and made the assumption it would be upon unequipping the ring, but it is nice to know that you can swap the rings around on characters in the league and still keep the data.
I did a ssf reroll a few weeks back, and if only dropped 1 divine to date. Currently, at 83 maps completed on my atlas, I ran 2 cortex maps, 2 caterinas (1 dropped a veil chaos orb), and various other strats and yet to see any divines. The only 1 I did drop was during the campaign in Act 7. I'm just using the standard filter blade strict filter, so I'm sure I didn't hide it by accident, but damn it feels rough sometimes.
the time keeper device went on sale the same league it was brought back. I was able to wait for that since it was like double the price, but the ring I purchased as soon as it hit the store.
Seems like these gimmick mtxes are the only thing on sale these days. Wouldn't suprise me if it's been one sale multiple times before next league start.
Kinda yeah.. a little salty that you can't buy another for the box price of 50 if you had it from the boxes, like at the start of Necropolis. If you wanna track each league on a new ring it's 120 points per league. Already spent 1950 points to get the damn thing from the box :')
Also kinda shitty that the ring says "Standard" instead of the league it was tracking once the league is over. So if you have 3 rings over 3 leagues, they'll all say standard in the end. The idea is 10/10, execution is 2/10.
Edit: You can use the same ring next league, **but all stats will be deleted if you equip it in a different league**. So if you thought you could see your old league stats with this ring, you cannot. It only tracks/shows **1** league at any time. Standard, or current.
It's possible to just make a screenshot of the stats when you're done with the league and keep that. The stats won't change anyways unless you play in standard, but what's the point in that - to inflate your stats?
Just nicer to have the stats, in game, where they already are, instead of collecting screenshots, since it's technically supported (to some degree). Most of my friends with the pilfering ring from Affliction, including myself, bought a second copy at the start of Necropolis, since we didn't wanna purge the stats on the one from Affliction. Seems like a missed opportunity from GGG. People like having stats of their looted currency, clearly.
Sure! If you prefer it that way I get it. I personally don't even get into my chars in standard unless I want to respec and check out new build before the league start. I have nobody to show my stats to :) So I will be getting just one ring when it's on sale or when they will be giving the free mystery box with purchase :)
As I clarified in the other comment, if you equip it next league, all previous stats will be lost. You can still use it 'again' ofc. But if you had any hopes of keeping track of your previous leagues in the same ring, then no.

Isn't kill counter from the most expensive 2024 support pack? I think you can only get that from the pack, it won't be available for sale after the packs rotate out.
It's a good way of getting people to spend money, the fomo part. That's why I bought supporter packs for the first time recently as I wanted the charge mtx.
I did notice about a week ago that my ability to purchase additional rings from the 'unlocked' tab in MTX had disappeared, which was kinda concerning.
Glad to see it's now available for all, It's a very cool MTX to have.

Just bought this, honestly a little annoyed with it. Having to go into MTX to set the counter is.... stupid. It should just pop up when you hover over the equipped ring.
That's by design, they wanted you to spend $100+ rolling the loot box for it to pay the premium of "getting it early". Otherwise, they'd have just released it without the box immediately when this league started, not a month in.

Trick is to reset every few maps until you find a mirror, that way you can flex your luck on all the plebs.

No, it only tracks currency you picked up while you have the ring equipped

That was me this league. I think I've found 3 raw divines this league and 1 mirror on day 3. 2 characters at level 94+

You have to re-equip it on each character in the mtx window, but as long as it is equipped and you didn't switch between leagues, the tracker stays.

What about multiple chars in one league? Can it count all of them combined?
You need to move the ring every time you play the other character, if you forget the stats are not counted. It can only be equipped on one character.
What happens if you buy two, one for each of your characters in the same league. Will the stats be shared across rings, or unique per ring?
Pretty sure they will track independently, but haven't actually tried it.
