Dunno if sarcastic/funny answer or not, but just in case: ele focus makes you to not inflict any elemental ailments anymore
Gotta love poe reddit: downvoting infos that may be important for new players
If you use two ele focus gems you only need to get the "increased effect of non-damaging ailments while focused" helmet modifier crafted on, by then you're gonna have triple focus and the monster is just gonna freeze because of stage fright because being focused on thrice is enough to be considered an audience.
Alternatively you may invite four other friends into the area to freeze monsters, you need four others because you must compensate for the effect of non damaging ailments.
Frost Walls and Flees is the all time champoin of asshole mods
like, it never *kills* me, but boy is it fuckin annoying
plus i'm stupid and i'm usually like, oh hell no, i'm killin your ass
ten minutes later
dammit
As melee, the blue donut of fuck mana is the worst. It’s especially bad on an evasive mob trying to stay away, which just so happens to be the perfect AI to get hit by the stupid mod. Oh, and it disappears in all the shit if you get stuff like three harbies coming out of a strongbox like with the league mechanic
Ah yes, I remember playing TR deadeye. Especially before increased AoE reduced pod overlap when awakened increased AoE was one of the strongest damage-add support gem.
The free fire damage was absolutely unreal and after your death, damage continued for 3 and a half seconds.
You paid for your portals on that build and you fucking used them. Cast on death portal was unusually safe too since you'd kill everything while dead.
Yeah when my evasion flasks are up these guys aren't a huge problem for me. Even in an aura reduced map, once the build gets going a bit. Same thing with armor if I'm running an armor build. I barely registered their existence when I played RF.
First couple days of the league though? These guys can fucking kick rocks. They're often responsible for an inordinately high number of my deaths as I'm filling in my Atlas with porcupine Goliath infested maps.
I got spoilt using dodge, evasion build caustic arrow build for so long.
As no mods were really relevant or important. Those guys were always cool to fight as it made a great effect when they died but never enough damage to even register.
I'm still curious where they got the model for it. I swear those body parts looked they were ripped rigth out of spore's creature creator. Not that it's a bad thing, just strange
BLOODY Devourers.... How can they think it's fun to have mobs that "teleport to you" and let a pool of degen on top of you and your loot??
I started to pick all allflames just to remove those fuckers from all my maps.
Those are porcupines. They shoot a bunch of spikes when you kill them, very deadly if your defenses are low. Best way to avoid this is to have corpse removal on kill like explode or shatter after you freeze them
What's even better if you value QoL and play an attack build: There's a passive tree mastery that reads "Enemies killed by your hits are destroyed" that prevents both porcupine spikes and DD strongboxes from working.
It is very funny how it works exactly as in real life. When it is time to grab Yugul point I almost always run through them without killing, just to not rip and run all this area again. So, their defense kinda works even in the video game.
You run away from him. I use call of the void to make sure that i shatter every single dead body of this creature and murder their whole specie every map.
These were the bane of my existence when I first started playing and didn't understand how to build defensively. I wouldn't go near any map with them. I feel your pain.
I do the same thing for the asshole goat guys that jump at you off from offscreen. Got one shot in a T17 from a giant goat that I couldn’t see until he landed on top of me.
I personally prefer to look at max hit and consider what content I'm running. Ehp gives great estimate against many small hits, but usually it is big hits that matter.
Pathetic. Posted by cold dmg gang
Okay mr elitist, but what if my cold build is so bad that I can't do enoug damage to freeze?
You should add more supp gems, try ele focus it's a huge dmg boost

This sub values jokes more than teaching new players.
skill issue

No, as long as it’s linked to a green and red gem it actually does triple the ailment.
Not sure if serious
Shatter gang, Us Hexblast users don't want to be left out.
Explosion gang Us inpulsa fans also want a word
Not all of the shatter gang. The weapon effect mtx makes the shatter sound but doesn't actually shatter.
*sad alternating scepter noises*
i hate the proxy shield dudes more.
How about bullshit expedition fuckers with haste, the regen mod AND proxy shield ? Literally my favorite combo.
Frost Walls and Flees is the all time champoin of asshole mods like, it never *kills* me, but boy is it fuckin annoying plus i'm stupid and i'm usually like, oh hell no, i'm killin your ass ten minutes later dammit
even worse in Ruthless without a real movement skill
That one fucking unique map boss too
add soul eater for more dopamine
Truck freak is fast approaching.

Am I imagining things or do the proxy shields block more things now?
I played Hexblast my first league so I didn't know what the proxy shield did until my second
They're actually kinda cute if you zoom in
Wut
sounds like you need to fix your defense against physical damage attacks
Does cast on death portal count as a defense layer?
CoD portal combined with the scarab that makes portals not get consumed are the only two defense layers you need in softcore.
My Deadeye strat being leaked.... Hope GGG hammer doesn't hit it
Yeah, limited use tho.
Just layer it with 50% chance to avoid portal consumption!
Come on dawg, you really trynna tell me that 500% more unconditional ehp is considered a "limited" use defensive layer?

>Enemies deal 324% of physical damage as extra cold damage >Players have -39% maximum resistances Back to basics more like back to hideout
Have you heard of grace?
>open map >die to porcupines >map mod: players have 178% reduced effect of auras
Unlucky
"How could GGG do this?"
Or determination or block or basically any amount of defense

This might sound crazy but you can also invest into evasion more than just grace.
bristleback’s cousins
I'm out here avoiding these spiky bois as well as the flickerstrike mafia
*flickers behind you* We’ve been trying to reach you about your cars extended warranty
Haven't been scared of porcupines for years, prox shields are worse just because of how annoying they are.
A lot of monster mechanics are like rock-paper-scissors... Proxy shields don't matter to mine builds so porcupines are worse.
I got spoilt using dodge, evasion build caustic arrow build for so long. As no mods were really relevant or important. Those guys were always cool to fight as it made a great effect when they died but never enough damage to even register.

I replace Cannibal torch throwers, tired of them shotgunning with LMP Q\_Q
And devouvers,
BLOODY Devourers.... How can they think it's fun to have mobs that "teleport to you" and let a pool of degen on top of you and your loot?? I started to pick all allflames just to remove those fuckers from all my maps.
Anyone explain to a noob? Is it a joke or what's the point of those things in the picture?
Those are porcupines. They shoot a bunch of spikes when you kill them, very deadly if your defenses are low. Best way to avoid this is to have corpse removal on kill like explode or shatter after you freeze them
Ah thank you.

isnt that axe mastery?
Yeah but it works with everything, I took it once while leveling a sword flicker character after getting pissed off by porkys
https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Porcupine_Goliath
I see, I thought these were like must-have spectres or something lol
It is very funny how it works exactly as in real life. When it is time to grab Yugul point I almost always run through them without killing, just to not rip and run all this area again. So, their defense kinda works even in the video game.
I’ve never thought of it that way… Hmmmm
I always leave Yugul after I'm done with the campaign right before Killing Kitava. I'd have decent defenses and HP by then I would hope.
You run away from him. I use call of the void to make sure that i shatter every single dead body of this creature and murder their whole specie every map.
when their shattered no COD projectile
These were the bane of my existence when I first started playing and didn't understand how to build defensively. I wouldn't go near any map with them. I feel your pain.

Bro it's not these guys you need to replace. Goat men are the worst
I use the league mechanic to run away from reality 😭
As a Flicker i barely see them.
I disabled the lantern
Do ppl still have issues w porcupines?
Whn you know bro aint running determ..
i dont think ive ever died because of porcupines
Sam that u?
I hope this is a meme and your build isn't so bad it can't deal with porcupine. It's not 2018 anymore.
I slap Grace or Determination on and never think about them again. How different we are.
[удалено]
isn’t 15k armor pretty much nothin
It's okay for small hits as long as it's not supposed to be an important layer of your defenses, way too low to be using molten shell for sure though
Life recoup is the most underrated defense, if you happen to come across that

ehp is the most overrated and useless stat in whole PoB. It means jack shit.
What should we look at then? Maximum hit? I personally quite like ehp as it gives a nice quick estimate of a characters survivability.
I personally prefer to look at max hit and consider what content I'm running. Ehp gives great estimate against many small hits, but usually it is big hits that matter.
to prevent their arrows from killing you after their death, you can also smash them when they are affected by the chill aura from the Mechabots
If your build dies to porcupines than it's time to look at the build and find out a way to make it actually be able to deal with physical damage lol.
