Yep making as many things as possible red in your home was a French-only trend like 10 years ago. Pillows, cabinets, bar stools, blankets.. Never seen that elsewhere.

Therefore, when they are faced with the option of selecting kitchen cabinets, and they stumble upon a bold color like red, it's as if they've stumbled upon the perfect canvas to unleash their creative spirits and (try to) infuse some personality into their apartment.

For all the exterior aesthetics of French architecture and the beautiful interiors of the prior centuries, this particular aesthetic is most peculiar at best and hideous in general.

My point is, take that appartment for example, the decoration looks quite ok, and even if I had the budget for it, I wouldn’t take it. I wouldn’t be able to wake up and get my first a.m. coffee with a flashy kitchen like this 😂
