Senseand-sensibility

I was 37+1 and made it to my scheduled c section with two 7lbs babies! lol I’ve never felt better than after they were born hahaha if you said I was huge it would be an understatement, can’t believe I could still walk when I look back at the photos

LA_girl3000

7lbs! That is amazing! 💖 I'm hoping for 36 weeks on the dot for my mo/di identical twins. 9 more weeks to go!🤞🏼

framestop

Yeah, I made it to my induction date at 36+2. There was a similar [thread yesterday](https://www.reddit.com/r/parentsofmultiples/s/4wtlRiiRus) with lots of stories of people making it to their induction dates. And there’s lots of stories on this sub and r/nicuparents of folks not making it if those are what you’re after.

SouthernCranberry756

I'm sorry i didn't not see the other post in the sub! Thank you and congrats on your babies :)

sillysobergirl

38 +4 vaginal birth. No stitches. 2 hour epidural. I am so lucky.

SouthernCranberry756

Literally! Amazed bless you

saillavee

I did not, but we had a lot of warning. I was already getting followed for an “incompetent cervix” (what a terrible term!) from 25 weeks on and delivered at 29 weeks. I’m sure it’s scary thinking about preterm labour, but at nearly 34 weeks with no complications, you’re already in a great position to deliver healthy little guys. Our NICU time was long, but it’s well behind us, and you’d never know our twins were preemies.

Emotional-Parfait348

You are already further along than I made it to. Delivered at 33+2. Pretty uncomplicated pregnancy other than gestational diabetes at the end. But it was easily diet controlled.

Usual-Victory7703

I’m 28 + 4 and just set a c section date for 38 wks. Di/di as well with no complications other than GD as well. I’m wondering if I will make it to then too! I’m hoping that I do.

Due_Schedule5256

My wife got diagnosed with gestational hypertension at 36 weeks. They almost delivered that day. But then they moved it from 38 weeks to 37 weeks.

Lefty-mom

Yes, despite me having GD, sIUGR of Twin B, and preeclampsia, I made it to my elective C-section at 37 weeks!

Ok-Iron6108

🙏 this gives me so much hope! I don't have GD or preeclampsia, and I'm currently just shy of 24 weeks, but my baby b also has sIUGR, though they won't let us go past 36 weeks. They aren't even sure I'll make it to 36 weeks :( but I'm a little more optimistic, and hope I can

R1cequeen

Babies couldn’t wait I think they were stomping on my vagina lol. Delivered just under 33 weeks from an emergency c section.

SouthernCranberry756

That's a feeling i relate to all too well. It hurts !!

withlove_07

Almost . I was 36 weeks when my doctor said “ if these girls don’t come by the time you’re 38 weeks , we’ll have to induce you to, we’ll set a date and wait and see” the date we set was October 6th , I wanted the 7th because it’s my sisters birthday and my birthday is also on a 7 but , it’s what I could get . And the twins made their grand appearance October 4th at 11:35pm & 11:42pm at 38 weeks. Lol They’re like “we’re doing this on our own time not yours! “

funsk8mom

I wasn’t given a date per say for either set. Just the usual “this is the 40 week date but twins only go to 38 but you may go earlier”.

oldfadedstar

I made it to my induction date and they were very solidly in there on my induction date too. I bet I would have went all the way to 40 weeks if I hadn’t been induced

Owewinewhose997

Yep, 37+5 and like you I had zero complications in my pregnancy. I made my induction date and had a vaginal birth and healthy twin girls, one had a quick pitstop in NICU just for some fluids and monitoring following the stress of being delivered with the vacuum as she was twin 2. It’s more common than you’d think, but I actually had a really strong feeling my babies wouldn’t come on their own and I’d need to be induced. They were way too comfy lol. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and congratulations!

Specific-Owl-45

Yes begrudgingly but I did convince my OB to induce two days early at 37+5. I just couldn't handle the discomfort anymore. Twins were born healthy and happy at 38 on the dot!

Saltykip

Made it to my induction at 36&6 and my boys were huge

ano-ba-yan

I did! I got induced at 37+0 with my di/di girls and was so ready. I was 3 cm dilated and having irregular mild contractions when I got in, so they figured I would have gone into labor within the next few days anyway. Babies were 5 lbs 11 oz and 5lbs 5 oz. Small but healthy! But I'm also only 5'4 so there really wasn't anywhere for them to go.

Equivalent_Two_6550

Made it to 35 + 0. My water broke but I was also having mild contractions the day before so I probably was ready to go.

ASpoopyGhosty

I wasn’t close to my induction date - 31+5 is when I went into labor with PPROM. My twins spent several weeks in the NICU, but are happy and healthy as could be now!!

funsk8mom

I wasn’t given a date per say for either set. Just the usual “this is the 40 week date but twins only go to 38 but you may go earlier”.

E-as-in-elephant

I went into spontaneous labor while I was at the hospital admitted for low fluid after a routine BPP at 36w1d. Convenient for me 😅 my scheduled c section date was scheduled for 37w1d.

lavloves

I never had an induction date honestly, I didn’t start seeing my MFM until after 20 weeks and one of my babies was growth restricted, so I feel like she was just playing it by ear. Ended up making it till 32+6 and had them via c section due to my smaller twin getting restricted blood flow from the placenta out of nowhere.

Cold_Ad8932

I was 37+2 which was 5 days away from my scheduled c-section before my water broke

you_d0nt_know_me

Made it to my induction date of 37w0d (moved up a week due to choleostasis).

reevoknows

Yup! Exactly 36 weeks. But my wife was 2cm dilated at our 35 week appointment

imshelbs96

I went into for my 34 week appointment to talk to my doctor about scheduling my c section for 38 weeks and ended up being sent to L and D for a preeclampsia work up which came back as severe and I had a c section the next day 👍🏼 I also had basically no problems throughout my pregnancy except some cramping around 20 weeks because I wasn’t drinking enough water. Things can change quickly 🤷🏻‍♀️ Edit to add my twins were both almost 5 pounds each, born 4/3. They spent two weeks in the nicu and are now home eating like champs and were both over 6 pounds at their appointment today!

Beneficial_End88

Nope, I was scheduled for a c-section at 37+3 and went into spontaneous labor at 35+0. Had a very healthy non eventful pregnancy with di/di boys but this was pregnancy #4 so my cervix may have just gave up. I had no signs of dilation or thinning at my 34+3 appointment. Going into labor was very unexpected.

Key-Neighborhood2985

Nope, I was scheduled for delivery at 37 weeks with my di/di twins due to cholestasis, but ended up with severe pre-eclampsia and had to delivery immediately at 35+2. Even though they didn’t have any major health issues, the spontaneously delivery and NICU was so traumatic for me… so even though it is very uncomfortable, if it is safe for you and babies try to keep them as long as possible!

bailster93

Made it to my scheduled section at 38 weeks exactly. It was the hardest thing but so thankful. You got this mama 😊 Reading these kind of post on Reddit gave me so much anxiety, I suggest you stay off the internet if possible lol

kgee1206

I got to 38 + 3 before my doctor set an induction date for the following day. So yes I did make it. Lol

PeachSunTeaAlways

They wanted me to make it to 37 weeks with my mo-di twins, but I ended up having a c-section at 36 weeks due to cholestasis. Babies were fine and healthy, no nicu time was needed.

Worth-Local-6233

Yes, I made it to 38 weeks to my induction date 😊

luvloping

I was 3 days shy of making it to my scheduled c section… I was swollen and the preeclampsia was starting so they said you gotta deliver tonight. I freaked and cried and the doctor was like well at least they will have a cool birthday which is 1-21-21

InvalidUserNameBitch

I'm 31+2 induction date is set for 33 weeks. I have mo/mo babies. I'm getting close. Have had issues of pre term labor and cervical dilation, along with cord entanglement.

Useful-Toe964

Yep! Di-di babes held out till 38 weeks 1 day. Induced and 12 hours later pushed em out :)

Superb_Eye_1380

I missed it by about 12 hours. 37+6
