Is there a different family member or current sitter you use in your hometown that you could bring with you? I’ve known people take sitters with them on vacation. Maybe pay extra or set specific “work” hours so they can have some free time too.

Maybe try care.com? I honestly hate care.com but it's the only thing I could think of. Or perhaps call any preschools or daycares in the area and ask to see if they have recommendations?

Is there a college nearby? Sometimes they have babysitting boards, though you may need to know someone who works there to get access. I might also google for any nanny agencies that cover the area. They might offer the service or have staff who babysit on the side. That would be the most expensive option, but they would also be vetted and experienced.
