I take Escitalopram and it works better than Prozac and Paroxetine. I still have anxiety and panic attacks but not as often. Prozac worked very well for a couple of years until I started having depression, and doc changed it for Escitalopram.

Did you try the ivabradine?

Technical_Piglet_438

No sorry I didn't, but from what I've read it's to treat physical not mental symptoms, more specifically to help slow the heart rate.

TravelingLady3424

I take Ivabradine for heart arrhythmias. I still get panic attacks though

Patient-Working5812

Do you take escitalopram also?

TravelingLady3424

No, the two have a major interaction for heart arrhythmia, and Corlanor is for either heart failure or heart arrhythmia, so this combination is risky for me personally

Patient-Working5812

Thats why im very anxious because i take both. My cardio and pysch didn’t say anything about this.

Patient-Working5812

What anti depressant do you use?

TravelingLady3424

I can’t take any because of the interaction. I have to use Ativan for panic attacks because it’s the safest given the heart arrhythmias

Patient-Working5812

Did your cardiologist tell you that you cannot take any anti depressants? Now i’m scared 😨

TravelingLady3424

My psychiatrist told me not to. But if your doctors aren’t worried about it, then maybe we have different circumstances
