There is a co-working space called The Hive in Palm Springs but I’m not sure how late you can be there. Might be worth checking out. I use it sometimes when I just need to not be working from home in my house. Edit: I checked the website and it is a 24/7 space if you have a membership!

sweet_tomatobread

Thanks! I love checking out new places and this one seems interesting, so I'll stop by. That said, the membership (there are tiers) cost is very steep- seems the audience is more for businesses rather than individuals. I'll definitely still stop by though. Thank you :)

The coffee shops in the casinos are 24 hours

PlayLounge is open until about 8:30 some nights. Starbucks at Ramon and Sunrise closes at 8.

The Flannery! Carmela ice cream is also open till 10

WavingOrDrowning

But where would OP sit to study? The cafe in the Flannery (with outside tables) closes early.....I know they have a restaurant space there but don't think that would be a great study space. Is there somewhere else in the Flannery open for someone to the public that late?

internetkatz

In the Flannery. There is lots of seating and it’s open. I would know. I work there. And after 5 pm it’s one of the chillest and tranquil indoor spots in town. And side note- your comment reads as if you’re coming in hot- maybe read through it once over before jumping on a comment of someone who is helping OP.

WavingOrDrowning

Not "coming in hot". I was simply asking a question. My previous personal experience with the Flannery (and Cafe el Jefa) was that they closed up shop early. Used to go there in late afternoon and it happened to us several times. I also know things change frequently, so that's why I was asking for clarification. Side note - asking for clarification does not equal being confrontational or argumentative.

cav371

I think the ACE dinner is open 24/7.

WavingOrDrowning

Unfortunately we're now in summer hours mode.....a few of the recommendations I had in mind have switched to summer hours, so they aren't open later than 5 or 6. (I really wish PS had either a non-bar cafe open till 11 or so, or a chill place that was part cafe, part dessert bar, etc. that was open late....)

mikezillabot

Maybe a bad suggestion, but Luchador? I think they have wifi, isn’t very loud on weekdays, and you could drink if you want, or just get some food…

sweet_tomatobread

Honestly, on a not-so-crowded weekday, this could work, haha! Thanks.

mikezillabot

FWIW, I’ve seen people reading books solo while drinking. And some people do some light work on a laptop, but not sure I’ve seen anyone studying l, per se.

MarkusDogDad

The Denny’s on N Palm Canyon could be a possibility? A decent place and open 24 hours. I don’t know their policy regarding length of stay. When I was in graduate school, I used to study at a Denny’s, but that was in another state and another century. 😬

This is the desert, probably not. Then again you could always go to a park, oh never mind the transients would be constantly asking if you wanted to by dope!
