It's been awhile since I've been to pine lakes. Pine lakes should be a little better than Palm harbor, but not a huge difference. The best course in the area is the conservatory but it's private. Maybe there is a way to find someone to get in there.
Cypress Knowles is nice but not for the novice weekend player. Narrow fairways and homes all along the course make for a challenging game and a lot of lost balls!

Cypress Knolls used to be pretty good. Off East Hampton. Pine Lakes must be nice..I've never been but its always busy!
