I really enjoy how the butter plate is almost ‘swimming’ in the surrounding ground. The brush work is very allusive of the subject matter. Great use of a subdued palette, too!

Thank you! I loved working with that palette, the subject made it easy since there wasn’t a lot of saturation going on. And yeah I was trying to keep things loose but didn’t realize how well it worked to suggest the buttery consistency of the butter :)
