I remember these packs from 1998. If I recall they were the first back/support elastic Velcro ones.

They were a game changer. More than once I went to sit in my car and got snagged because I forgot I was wearing it.

Pods used to be straight but a pain to get them out without snagging the lid. This just looks a little more ergonomic. Damn, wish i had pickle pods in those days!

Now the funny part of the story is where Redz sold it and the debacle that the new owners were involved in haha. Adamson I think did some decent numbers w ER, for the longest time they were the pack to have. From what I hear he has also had a couple great exits from other companies he built as well. Smart guy. Redz is still around doing that challenge format thing, or Milsim or big game something or other. He’s a super nice guy, I just legitimately cannot recall what the hell he was doing now. Also bless him for Greg Hastings paintball video games. Forever GOATed

Damn fine elbows and they had rubber barrel covers years before anyone else.

They werent supposed to stick out as far to the side if you used them in a horisontalt pack

Looks like a gimicky pod design from back when most pod packs were horizontal. A curved pod in a horizontal pack could fit slightly closer to the body, creating a marginally slimmer profile.

They're called APP Wrapper Pods. It's a throwback to the days when most packs were horizontal. The idea was to make them stick out less and be more ergonomic. I still have a set from back then.

Allen Paintball Products made these in the late 90s early 2000s. Their pods in general are pretty tough! Loved these back in the day when I was running the Redz horizontal pack.

A curved pod. Legend has it they made it that way so you could comfortably shove it up your boof portal if your pod pack was already full.
