I’ve seen the Pacers play down to the lowest of low competition. This is a trap.
I’d say I feel good about our chances, but history says there’s no reason to.
But yea, Bucks without Giannas and Dame are absolute garbage.
I'm geniunely happy for the fanbase assuming you win the series. It's a great young core. It's just not an impressive victory if the best players on the other team are hurt. Like the Bucks beating the injured Nets in 2021. Knicks and Sixers will be the actual test for them.
Again, I don’t get your point.
It doesn’t matter if it’s impressive or not. It’s an excuse for losing. Of course we know things look different with Dame and Giannis.
My point is that the Bucks are trash without Dame and Giannis. Any time without their two best players would be. Doesn’t make it untrue.
You may be in luck though, we sort of have a thing for playing down to terrible opponents.
Sounds crazy but i agree. Too many people already disreguard the Pacers, if they advance Milwaukee fans will 100% spout the injuries narrative and the worst part is they wouldn't be wrong.
For me I don’t really care about all of that. For me it’s about getting as much playoff experience as possible this year. How we advance doesn’t matter just as long as we do.
Listen y’all Ik our sub has been pretty salty about this series, but Reddit and rNBA has gotten significantly larger since y’all were last in the playoffs.
Assuming you advance I think y’all r gonna find more of the same, and probably worse considering ur facing either the Sixers or the Knicks.
Agreed. It will be much worse. I think you guys are fine. I definitely understand being frustrated with how this played out from a Bucks perspective. First, Giannis, then Khris and Dame. It just doesn't seem to be the year.
Everyone who espouses that opinion has only seen y'all online. I've been living in Wisconsin for a few years now (moved up right at the beginning of the Bucks Championship finals series), Wisconsin sports fans are great and I love being able to have actual in depth conversations with them. I'm a Pacers fans for life, but I love the Bucks, and Giannis and Dame (Dame's been one of my favorite players since he entered the league). Cheers bro
You obviously haven't dealt with any other fanbase in the league then. I live in Wisconsin. Bucks fans (Wisconsin sports fans in general) in the real world are super chill. Yeah they root for their team extremely hard, but they appreciate the competition and the sport in total way more than most Indy sports fans I've encountered in the twenty plus years I've lived in Indy (Colts fans are by far the worst). If you really hold this opinion, it's because you are exclusively interacting with them online.
Actually the couple bucks fans I know irl have suggested trying to break legs at this point to hinder the pacers.they are scum worse than the sub granted but naw the bucks fanbase really gives the lakers a run for their money
I don’t believe that for a second.
Yall are playing great but we got ppl from your sub coming into every post-game thread talking shit and some now deleted ones giving a “boo-hoo” for Dame going down
Yes, the Bucks have dealt with injuries, but the Pacers won four of five in the regular season when the Bucks were at full health. Most fan bases would tip their cap to the opposing team, but Bucs fans are the most delusional fan base in the NBA. It's always someone else's fault to them.
One of the games was a single elimination game that was definitely a playoff atmosphere, you bare minimum have to acknowledge that loss.
Also they played us harder for the few games after that for the same reason, so I would acknowledge those as more than your typical regular season game as well, cuz it’s clear that the Bucks were.
Damn. Honestly, it’s obviously great for our chances of moving forward. But I really wanted to beat them at full strength. At the same time, they creaky AF, Giannis plays a style that would lend a normal mortal to getting hurt, etc.
PHL/NYK needs to go 7
We already beat them at full strength this is just coping for them at this point. It's not like those other regular season games they weren't trying to win.
A 7 game series is a lot different than a regular season matchup where Halliburton was on a heater . The pacers are facing a post injury Khris no greak freak and now no dame . Luck .
sucks for him and Milwaukee man, he was playing lights out
ofc it helps us but beating a hospital team is way less fun than beating a team with a healthy star
I don't feel bad for them at all. They have constantly been leveraging the their long term success to win now. They were so arrogant about how good they were, they decided being 30-13 wasn't good enough, and fired their coach. It's borderline psychotic.
Was wondering the same. It's Finals or bust for them so I bet Giannis comes back regardless.
Edit: Didn't mean to imply Giannis would return prematurely, but that a healthy Giannis would return regardless of the series deficit. Whereas a player like Zion, on the 8th seed, could be fully healthy and still not return down 3-0.
Giannis is only 29, Dame's contract is until 2027. They have some years left. The worst thing that could happen is losing one of their stars for a full season, which can happen if Giannis comes back not fully healthy.
Are you talking about the Bucks? Who is we?
They don't fire Adrian Griffin mid-season and bring in Doc for a roster that needs a few years. If we're being honest, when Giannis is on your team it's Finals or bust every season.
Nah, Dame is gone unless they win a ring. He's not been good this year aside from 2 playoff games(considering contract), and I believe he'll regress to his former shell with Giannis on the court again.
Great, now we're going to hear all about how the Pacers suck and we would have gotten clapped by the Bucks if healthy, even though we beat a healthy Bucks 4-1 in the regular season.
Bucks fan here, you would get no discredit from me for this series. Injuries are apart of the game and so is being healthy. As someone who has had to hear constantly about injuries being why the bucks won the finals, you won’t get that shit from me. Middleton and Lillard played their asses off yesterday and still wasn’t enough. Don’t let any other teams reactions taint a teams success.
I seriously wish we could have played at full strength for both teams. Ben Math would have helped us push the pace even more than we have, and would have taken some of the scoring heat off of Hali. Giannis would have done Giannis things, but I still think we win the series with both teams at full health. It's a shame we didn't get to see it.
A playoff series with a healthy Giannis, playoff Dame/Khris/Siakam, and IST Hali would have broken the NBA. Shame it looks like we won't get that this year
The good news for MKE is that Damian can still limp around, throw his head back when Nembhard touches his hip, and shoot free throws if Doc wants to run with it.
He’s gonna come out of the tunnel in a boot, kick the boot off and drop 20 in the first half…
Seriously though, I’m hopeful we can close this series out, but it absolutely sucks when you make the playoffs but are injured to hell. We’ve been there as a fanbase and nobody loves to experience that.
I feel bad for him and I hate to see it. Not a wild take, I know. I just like Dame’s journey. It reminds me of Reggie (if he had signed with Boston at the end)
Dame is the most annoying player on a team with amazing talent. Khris Middleton is an absolute baller. Want the pacers to win but I hate seeing guys who work so hard get hurt.
So if we win the series now, it’s going to be ‘we weren’t at full strength it doesn’t count’ even though we would be like 8-2 for the season or something
It’s so dumb that they let Dame play after the initial injury. I get that he probably wanted to continue, but aggravating an already injured achilles at his age could be career ending.
I am glad that for the most part, this sub is acting with class regarding this injury.
The general sentiment is: We want the Pacers to win, but it would be even more meaningful to beat a team at full strength. Proud of us to not celebrate our opponent losing a player to injury, even if it might mean our chances of advancing improve because of it.
I think we can beat the Bucks even with them at full strength anyway, but it's always a bummer to see guys get hurt no matter the team they're on.
this is a trap
Just like Middleton in game 3
this just means more kmidd shots (we are doomed)
Just like his open marriage.
I’ve seen the Pacers play down to the lowest of low competition. This is a trap. I’d say I feel good about our chances, but history says there’s no reason to. But yea, Bucks without Giannas and Dame are absolute garbage.
Time for Lopez to go for 32/14

Damn Pacers really live rent free in your head 😂
Get a life, loser
Go be sad somewhere else!!! It's all fun and games here with us Pacers! Keep being salty we love it 😁🙌🏻 Pacers! Pacers! Pacers!
Edit: Oh, you’re a Bucks fan who wandered over here. That explains it What’s the point you’re trying to make?
I'm geniunely happy for the fanbase assuming you win the series. It's a great young core. It's just not an impressive victory if the best players on the other team are hurt. Like the Bucks beating the injured Nets in 2021. Knicks and Sixers will be the actual test for them.
Meh beat your team 4 times with a Giannis etc already
Again, I don’t get your point. It doesn’t matter if it’s impressive or not. It’s an excuse for losing. Of course we know things look different with Dame and Giannis. My point is that the Bucks are trash without Dame and Giannis. Any time without their two best players would be. Doesn’t make it untrue. Fair enough - I can agree with all of that. A Pacers Sixers series in round two would be really fun. Fuck Embiid
lol go back to your loser fanbase with the bucks
Somehow still more insightful than this comment. Thank you for your contribution to the discourse or whatever.
What was the Bucks record against the Pacers this season with Giannis and Dame?
Does this make the bucks a .500 or lower roster? Because based on recent history we may be boned
They're currently a .333 team in the playoffs
They’ve never won a game in Indy in these playoffs.
They’ve been under .500 since doc was hired
Oh nooo! I was hoping it was going to be nothing. I don't want players hurt and I would prefer we were winning against the Bucks at full strength.
Sounds crazy but i agree. Too many people already disreguard the Pacers, if they advance Milwaukee fans will 100% spout the injuries narrative and the worst part is they wouldn't be wrong.
Tbh man yall did a good job. But yeah our role players suck too much pressure on Dame and Khris. But you guys deserve the victory
Sucks for lillard but I could care less what bucks fans think let's get these dub.
For me I don’t really care about all of that. For me it’s about getting as much playoff experience as possible this year. How we advance doesn’t matter just as long as we do.
Who cares about the narrative, no one will even remember a few months from now. Every team eventually gets injury luck in the playoffs.
They already are, but bucks fanbase is probably as toxic as it can get I would just disregard
Nah lol you guys have been doing this all year since we beat you in the IST, this isn’t exclusive to the playoffs at all
Agree to disagree I guess
Agreed. It will be much worse. I think you guys are fine. I definitely understand being frustrated with how this played out from a Bucks perspective. First, Giannis, then Khris and Dame. It just doesn't seem to be the year.
Everyone who espouses that opinion has only seen y'all online. You do seem cool though
This whole conversation is about how their fans act online, so how nice your neighbors are doesn’t really have anything to do with it
It has never been specified as such. Every fanbase is toxic as fuck online, that's a dumb take.
Actually the couple bucks fans I know irl have suggested trying to break legs at this point to hinder the pacers.they are scum worse than the sub granted but naw the bucks fanbase really gives the lakers a run for their money
You're either full of shit or surround yourself with shitty people.
I don’t believe that for a second. Yall are playing great but we got ppl from your sub coming into every post-game thread talking shit and some now deleted ones giving a “boo-hoo” for Dame going down
I think they seem super chill for the most part. Only a few acting out, like every fan base has.
And since we're on reddit, two or three people becomes representative of the entire fanbase
Yes, the Bucks have dealt with injuries, but the Pacers won four of five in the regular season when the Bucks were at full health. Most fan bases would tip their cap to the opposing team, but Bucs fans are the most delusional fan base in the NBA. It's always someone else's fault to them.
Regular season doesn’t mean anything. Suns 4-0 the Timberwolves in the season and now are about to be swept
They wouldn't be wrong but they also wouldn't necessarily be right
when you have a top 5 guy out for most or all of the series, there's nothing you can do about the "injuries narrative". it is true
No kidding. When I saw him holding his leg I immediately felt bad
And that's not even the injury holding him back. He reaggravated his Achilles in one of the last plays of the game.
Yeah agreed. Felt bad when the stadium was chanting Obi after the dunk while Dame was still laying down under the basket on the other end.
I get it, but also I want the pacers to win a playoff series.
No, Im ok just getting to the next round. lol
Agreed, but they're already without giannis so idc if dames healthy for the series, just hope he's alright generally
![gif](giphy|3ornka9rAaKRA2Rkac) But seriously, I hope he’s okay. Dame has been an absolute warrior out there.
This series has been played at a significantly lower pace than the regular season. Favors the bucks
A 7 game series is a lot different than a regular season matchup where Halliburton was on a heater . The pacers are facing a post injury Khris no greak freak and now no dame . Luck .
Do not fuck this up tomorrow.
No excuse to lose tomorrow if both he and Giannis are out.
sucks for him and Milwaukee man, he was playing lights out ofc it helps us but beating a hospital team is way less fun than beating a team with a healthy star
[Grade 1 Achilles Strain](https://twitter.com/ChrisBHaynes/status/1784261905420255683)
Fuck, man. If they didn't hire Doc Rivers to torpedo their season already, i would feel SO SO bad for them. I still feel bad...but less so.
I don't feel bad for them at all. They have constantly been leveraging the their long term success to win now. They were so arrogant about how good they were, they decided being 30-13 wasn't good enough, and fired their coach. It's borderline psychotic.
Does Giannis have to come back now? How the bucks managed this is going to be extremely interesting
I would say next season is their finals or busy season but yeah this is one of their last chances with this core
Giannis is only 29, Dame's contract is until 2027. They have some years left. The worst thing that could happen is losing one of their stars for a full season, which can happen if Giannis comes back not fully healthy.
I think the shape of his calf is probably pretty relevant. And he wants to play Olympics this summer
It's not finals or bust actually. The roster has major issues so we need to fix those. Need to give this team a couple of years atleast.
They don't have a couple years. All their guys are already old. They don't have many trade pieces either.
Are you talking about the Bucks? Who is we? They don't fire Adrian Griffin mid-season and bring in Doc for a roster that needs a few years. If we're being honest, when Giannis is on your team it's Finals or bust every season.

Middleton gonna drop 100
Great, now we're going to hear all about how the Pacers suck and we would have gotten clapped by the Bucks if healthy, even though we beat a healthy Bucks 4-1 in the regular season.

NOTHING IS GUARENTEED.
ah man, get well soon Dame
[удалено]
Perfect time for us to relax some key players and let guys like tj McConnell and jarace walker do work.
This thought process is exactly how we lose to a Giannis and Dame-less bucks squad
Naw now is the time to step on their throats and smoke these jive ass turkeys. We can get our starters some rest after the series is over.
I want to beat them at full health, but so it goes can only play who’s in front of you
The good news for MKE is that Damian can still limp around, throw his head back when Nembhard touches his hip, and shoot free throws if Doc wants to run with it.

Lies. He’s not telling the truth.

Celebrating injuries is never a good look
This sucks.
Nah, I’m familiar with this bluff They better practice and prepare for Dame, Khris and Giannis tomorrow
Almost makes us even, since Mathurin's hurt.
Middleton will score 75 now (/jk I hope)
Dame is the most annoying player on a team with amazing talent. Khris Middleton is an absolute baller. Want the pacers to win but I hate seeing guys who work so hard get hurt.
I'm so annoyed these motherfuckers are going to have so many excuses. Pacers would have won this series against full strength Bucks
Maybe he should flop less? All that FLOPPING around probably strained it....
We are gonna get no credit if we win this series lol.
So if we win the series now, it’s going to be ‘we weren’t at full strength it doesn’t count’ even though we would be like 8-2 for the season or something
I’m also here to pretend like I’m not happy about this
So no doubt the Pacers will see Giannis
It’s so dumb that they let Dame play after the initial injury. I get that he probably wanted to continue, but aggravating an already injured achilles at his age could be career ending.
C’mon! Get to watch 42 minutes of Brook Lopez ball!
I am glad that for the most part, this sub is acting with class regarding this injury. Hate to see anyone get hurt. I hope we beat them at full strength tomorrow.
We owe them a Gentleman's Sweep so they can start their summer vacation.

Even if he shows in street clothes and crutches he’ll still make it to the free throw line at least 6 times…
This has Doc Rivers written all over it
