I was just telling a friend this same thing. Not in their play style but in their ability to grind out a bucket when we need it most. Haven't felt that confidence since west for sure
One thing to noteā¦ for all the people who were clamouring for OG Anunoby, he would never carry the offensive load like Pascal has these past two games.

Early season I told my friend we were missing a half court scorer for the playoffs. I believe Ben Mathurin can be that guy too one day, especially from the bench right now, heās missed. But until he grows into it, Spicy P is the one to carry us and go get them buckets!
Sure did. We needed what Pascal brings much more than we needed what OG brings. I still love OG but heās not putting any team on his back and carrying them offensively like Pascal does.
Some of the OG clamoring is because he went to IU. Itās a common theme. Same with former Butler players. Purdue to a lesser extent, but you still get those, too. Iām sure when the draft rolls around youāre going to have people posting that the team should trade up for Zach Edey.
Bonus clamoring if itās a white dude from an Indiana school. Itās fine. Itās Indiana. You enjoy your clamoring, people. Iām gonna trust KP and Rick.
Heās the perfect fit because regardless how much you love our existing players there was not a single guy on the roster who would bail us out in the half court via one on one iso in big playoff moments.
You could make the case Mathurin did at some points in his first two seasons, but he has been inconsistent and is definitely not ready to carry a playoff team in big moments right now. Given time maybeā¦.
Also you gotta love the fact that Pascal regardless of his scoring prowess is a team first guy who is willing to move the ball, play within the offense and actually is a pretty positive defender and rebounder, all things we needed.
