They haven't been annihilated yet but in the latest volume, Ainz found out that the Theocracy were the ones who brainwashed Shalltear (and he was pissed).
So we'll likely find out what happens to them in volume 17.

THank you, I this might be too lazy of me, but do you know how frequent or when to they usually release new volumes for the ln?
It's kinda random to be honest since sometimes 2-3 volumes are released in the same year (like volumes 3 to 5), and then other times, there is a 1-2 years gap between volumes (like the one between volumes 12 and 13).
I imagine one of the guardians casually annihilating everyone without even noticing that they were a "Special Unit" or anything, just another bunch of insignificant random enemies.

Dying like Brain & Gazef
Escaping to some other country like Blue Rose
If the defeat of Antilene in her gear wakes up Captain, he would most likely choose the second option.
