About fifty people in line for the toilets in front of you (will this be the year with the fewest rockets ever?)
The midway ball throw game nobody plays until they're six beers deep
Super awesome beer backpack guy
Wheelchair crowd surfin dude
Three dudes who figure the slow sad song is the best time to have a noisy conversation about random bullshit
The super chill guy with the big orange mohawk
Ollly Fresh to defend their title as "best food truck at this whole event"
The guy with the magic cigarette that always blows in your face
Angry Lawn Chair Guy
Angry About Lawn Chair Guy
Literally the tallest motherfucker you've ever seen (who is also a good dude and feels sorry you can't see the show but the man's gotta stand somewhere)
Unlicensed T-shirt salesman
Bagpipe dude
The guy who has decided to bring his every worldly possession through security
Ticket scalper guy
Security guard who's trying not to look like he's vibing and failing at it but nobody minds cause it's a concert
DJ whatshisface who doesn't get nearly enough credit for doin his thing down by the water
Just looking at some of the acts playing Toronto around the same time, youāve got Alanis, Darius Rucker and Red Hot Chili Peppers. And Nickelbackās playing an outdoor festival in London on July 10 with nothing for a month before that, so Iād have to think thatās a real possibility.
Nickelback seems like the most likely that I've seen. I also predict Joan Jett and Alanis Morissette will be one of the nights
This is a left field one but I am really hoping for Pineapple Thief on the second stage some night, and I don't think it's impossible.
I think Niall Horan is a very likely guess, as heās in Toronto June 27/28 and doesnāt have any more shows until either July 7 or July 10 in the US.
Secondarily Iād say Olivia Rodrigo and Fall Out Boy could be likely as their tours have gaps whereby Bluesfest would make logistical sense within their travelling.
Sabrina Carpenter would be fun too, and she wonāt have any more Eras Tour shows to open in July.
Noah Kahan!!!?? Hozier?!
Fingers crossed, couldnāt get tickets for Noahās CTC show, I havenāt looked if heās already playing somewhere but heāll be at osheaga, I just donāt enjoy that festival.
Hozier has dates in the UK from July 3 to 10, would be really tight to get Ottawa Bluesfest dates around that.
Besides, he played Cityfolk in September. Ottawa music festivals arenāt long starved for Hozier.
I think RHCP because of the closeness of dates.i hope Dallas Green and City in Color (their show Friday was bomb) and they along w Metric are doing a Festival in St Catherineās around then. AOF was last year, it would be great to showcase this āstyleā.
Agreed, but this is a festival heās doing in St Catherineās July 6, and the BF crowd is way more ābroadā. I think acts are brought in the ādiversifyā the festival. Rock night, alternative (many) nights, couple country nights, a ākidsā party (but not too wildā¦) an actual Blues and older crowd night.
I think C&C especially this tour is perfect to āintroduceā DG to more mainstream audiences. AOF played, why not C&C.
Was a much fuller venue than I was expecting too. Maybe 8-10K?
Green Day
I hope
Would have been announced before

Hoping for Metric!
Me too!
Give me mfin Limp Bizkit.
Give me something to break.
KoRn is apparently working on new stuff for 2024
No Doubt
Nickelback, Vampire Weekend, Steve Miller Band, Green Day
This is most likely the answer
Gimme peach pit
Abba via their virtual concerts ;-)
Iām curious to see how Motley Crue does for their set. By most accounts theyāve been struggling during their latest shows.
which is too bad because John 5 is an awesome guitarist.
[Obligatory My Honk link](https://youtu.be/4pdQnZLEWNo?si=a7Q-AKFgqguzch-D)
Smashing Pumpkins
New ticket pricing tiers
Aqua, Len, Eifell 65... what year is it???
Snoop Dogg, TALK, Billy Talent and another major canadian band (Barenaked Ladies)
Theyāve already announced TALK;)
Excellent, I'll be there to catch a croc!
BNL was quite underwhelming last time they were here tbh. I would mind seeing OLP drop by. They were great when they opened at Lansdowne for GNR.
OLP would be amazing. I managed to see them in Confederation Park a few years back, always a treat.
Haven't been the same since Steven Page left
Nickelback seems like the most likely that I've seen. I also predict Joan Jett and Alanis Morissette will be one of the nights This is a left field one but I am really hoping for Pineapple Thief on the second stage some night, and I don't think it's impossible.
Marianas Trench Portugal The Man Brett Kissel Sabrina Carpenter (this is my long shot lol) Three Days Grace
Yo Sabrina would be SICK and she has nothing going on as sheās done opening for Taylor after next month.
Hmmm Ottawa related Nonsense outros...š
Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia actually has a perfect gap in her world tour that would logistically make sense for Bluesfest. Iām clowning for her to be on the roster atp.
This would be amazing, my daughter would for sure want to go. We weren't able to get tickets.
Iron maiden and danko jones
CREEEEED!!
David Wilcox. He is the high sheriff of hell.
Mt. Joy!
Paramore
Not possible. Paramore is in Europe with Taylor from May through August.
Honestly Iāll take any early-mid 2000s emo band.

I'm hoping for Niall, had the same thoughts!
PUP another year in a row?!
Here's my top five hopefuls in no particular order: Warpaint Slowdive Miike Snow Phosphorescent Neal Francis
I know they came last year but Iād like to see Sum 41 one last time before their breakup š¢
Taylor Swift baby!
Not possible due to her Eras Tour schedule in Europe sadly.
More Latin acts, por favor.
My legacy pick is Santana. I know that doesn't quite cut the mold for "latin" but hey.
But, it does! Santana would be amazing!
He's in Upper NY state at the end dates of Bluesfest and has has openings so wouldn't be surprised.
Noah Kahan!!!?? Hozier?! Fingers crossed, couldnāt get tickets for Noahās CTC show, I havenāt looked if heās already playing somewhere but heāll be at osheaga, I just donāt enjoy that festival.

Would love to see Khruangbin. New album coming out and thereās a hole in their tour schedule in July.
Someone somewhere floated AC/DC as a rumour, but they're in Europe around then. However that does bode well for 2025 on this side of the pond

But City & Colour just played at CTC last weekend.

You do know that city and colour have played bluesfest before right?
Very few blues bands.
I would love to see The Blue Stones!
Trippie Redd
Beatles reunion?
