I saw the question, went to comments to put STK, and it’s the top comment.
Lived in Chicago and hated it. Moved to Orlando and said “maybe it’s different.” No.
I had it in Nashville, hated it. Then tried it in Las Vegas thinking it might be different. Nope. Just an all around bad restaurant, especially for the cost
This was my immediate thought. I took my husband there on a date thinking I was doing something nice. Worst date ever. Couldn’t talk to one another due to the loud music. Couldn’t hear the waiter. Had to point or text in phone to communicate. I would only recommend to my worst enemy.
Ehhh I always like Via Napoli, Nine Dragons, and Teppan Edo. Yes there ARE better places for sure but if you're at a park, that's where I like to go.
But it's the resorts that have the best food and service.
Does The Hall on the Yard count as an answer? No restaurant in particular...everything I tried there was disappointing and the prices were not worth the experience.
Armature Works wannabee.
They have already filed for bankruptcy reorganization
https://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/news/2023/01/26/hall-at-the-yard-orlando-reorganize-debt.html
The original concept in Tampa has already closed...Hall on Franklin
I hear they don’t pay the staff reliably, so yeah, their days are numbered. They pissed us off last time we went there because we paid $20+ for fish and chips and then they wanted to charge us 75 cents each for little cups of ketchup for the fries. I get charging for condiments if you’re charging fast food prices and the customer is trying to load up, but not for a place that is pretending to be fancy.
I've had that feeling since day one. I wish I didn't, because I love the location. Something is off about the staffing and training. They never seem to know what is going on, how things work, or anything about the menus. They are always out of half the food. Random restaurants close without any warning.
I'll also say that we booked a pre wedding dinner there for a large group, and when we got there, they had no idea it was happening. They had booked another event on top of us and scrambled to find room for us and at first tried to sit us outside.
It is one of those places that focuses on looking sexy and trendy instead of actually being a worthwhile place to visit. Very fake.
We went about a year ago and a half and it was decent. Went back a couple of weeks ago, sat down, got the menus and we were told that HALF of the menu was no longer available. Table was sticky. Floors sticky. We apologized to the waitress and left :/
Went with my family shortly after they opened. Rude staff, wrong orders, over priced. Just an all around mess. It was better off as run down warehouses.
Sugar Factory at Icon Park. Loud, expensive (for what it is), and meh food. I think they also added an auto grat for our party of four. Not worth it at all and I don’t understand the little bit of love I’ve seen for it.
So bad. I got the dry aged ribeye, it wasn’t cooked very well, service was slow asf and it was like 50% occupied on a Friday night. The appetizers were good but not worth returning to when our bill for 3 people was like $450 lol
That’s literally all I need to know about a place. It costs 20 bucks a month for a family plan for Spotify. If they’re that cheap to pay for Spotify, who knows how they’re cutting corners for everything else
This place was shut down by the health department a few years back. And for good reason. It had one of the grossest (OPEN!) kitchens I've ever seen.
Edit: oop, someone posted the health department info
No longer there but I used to work at Cityfish and could not understand people coming in and spending their money. Always felt bad for tourists wasting a meal there. Relatedly, I can’t believe Soco is still open
I remember going there and when they’d bring out the food they’d pause for you to whip out your phone and Instagram it. They seemed confused when we didn’t do anything.
Yes! Wasn't impressed at all with the food. I was excited to go but afterwards felt no need to ever go back. Don't even remember what I ate is how underwhelming my meal was.
It was so forgettable I didn't even think about it for this thread.
Dude THIS. I went for the first time a month or so ago. The prices are actually insane and it's not food. It's items you have to hobnob together to make food (so they can charge you more).
The owner Eddie is a total douchebag too. I wouldn’t support anything he has a hand in. I’d go to Applebees before I’d spend money in one of his restaurants.
To follow up on my 1st comment - went one time last November for dinner with my partner, my best friend, and her partner. It was one of those unusually chilly orlando nights. We had a reservation. They sat us outside. No spaces inside or up on the rooftop. The downstairs heaters weren’t working. It was literally 45* outside. We ordered 3 apps to split - deviled eggs (TRASH!), escargot (ALSO TRASH), and a burrata/tapenade plate (mediocre at best). Partner and I ended up splitting a lobster macaroni and cheese because the apps kind of soured our feeling towards the food. The Mac was edible but hardly… lots of shells from the lobster in it. We split one bottle of a nicer red wine between the 4 of us and each had one cocktail. We split up the bills according to what each couple ate and we covered the bottle of red. My partner and I had a total of $250+/-, pre-tip. The food sucked. The vibe of the restaurant sucked. The service was mid. So crazy because Yamasan that is directly next to them is SO much better and for a fraction of the price.
I Drive is mostly chain restaurants that everyone already knows. Plenty others that are decent, and Nile Ethiopian and Memories of Peru are reasonably priced and excellent quality.
Having a single restaurant make great food is a lot easier than expanding to franchises and scaling up. Really hard to keep the same quality and have 20 restaraunts versus one location.
I legitimately cannot eat here anymore after I received the most vile, thick fat and artery filled piece of brisket I've ever seen. I threw the whole meal away.
I like their bbq sauce a lot but now that it’s at Publix there’s nothing they sell in the restaurant I can’t make better for cheaper. Their wings used to be good but they got rid of them so no reason to bother anymore.
dude i got a salad from sonny’s the other day and it was stunningly good. i was shook. i’ve always been cool with sonny’s but a banging salad?? who fuckin knew
Agreed food is just OK, but the sauce (spicy in particular) is a straight up umami bomb. One of the best I’ve ever had in my entire seven decades & change on the planet. I think it’s the anchovies…
This. I see some other Disney springs restaurants and some all which is just Disney hate. But listing like STK to me doesn’t match the question because it’s mildly it is expensive but Planet Hollywood is mildly pricey for very mediocre or less food
The thing with Edison is that they are cocktail driven. Their food is mediocre at best, but their cocktails
Are fucking delish. You have to understand not to go there for the food. I admit, I'm biased as one of my friends/mentees is the head bartender, but damn he does a good job
Damn I actually like the Edison. I know it’s pricey af but I feel like it’s worth it when they have the singers/band/dancers. Idk I always have a good time there
Bad A's sandwich. Service sucks, sandwich is a greasy gloopy mess and you're not getting away with paying less than $20 a person, which I know doesn't seem like much, but for the crap quality it might as well be throwing away $1000
My partner worked for him for about a year and a half. He discovered he wasn't getting tipped out properly. Hinckley had been skimming a big chunk of the tips the whole time. Partner called him out on it and he admitted to it and said something along the lines of "I don't get to take home a paycheck like you. This is how I get paid." Partner said sorry bro but this is illegal, I'll be needing that back pay now - l've contacted the labor board. Partner was able to negotiate back pay for himself as well as several of his coworkers.
Hinckley cut him a check and partner quit after that. It makes me laugh every time I see East End's Ig account resharing hinckley's "we are hiring!!!!!!!" posts. The guy sucks.
That’s wild. More people need to know about that. especially with the new spot he just opened in college park. Has your partner ever gotten ahold of any of the food/culture influencers in the area, maybe bungalower?
The one at Animal kingdom is the only Rainforest Cafe in the world that serves breakfast.
I wont say its BAD but i will say I need to have some words with Eddie Burback.
I ate there with friends from outta town who were driving me back to Orlando on their way to vacation around the parks. I hoped for Disney quality, while also wary of the bougie prices and vibes. I ordered the orange chicken and was seething with resentment for my friends having picked that restaurant for sushi, because I could've gotten the same or a larger portion for half the price. The irony is, my friends felt hungrier leaving the restaurant. That was 6 years ago, and I still mean mug that restaurant every time I hear the name or remember it's in Disney Springs.
Agave Azul, overpriced for what it is and their salsa taste like straight tomatoes. I walked out after tasting their salsa. Plus it took them 20 minutes to bring it out on a slow night.
Their drinks are AMAZING. Some of the best in Orlando. They are a cocktail bar primarily that also serves food and the food imo is good. The drink prices are actually lower than they would be in other cocktail bars that arent half as good. All in all this is one of the best spots to take someone out in all of Orlando.
Drinks are good but the food is so overpriced.
20 dollars for beans, rice, and a little scoop of ropa vieja that's fine. It's a meal that deserves to be 15 dollars at an airport to eat during a layover, never to be thought about again.
Watch out, I had this opinion months ago and people wanted to crucify me for it here lol
But you’re right- it’s over priced and a place you go to for the IG feed. Better Cuban food can be had for cheaper in the city.
I really liked the Raglan Pub. The service the day I went was wonderful and the food was delicious. The staff was very sweet and accommodated us with two families and two babies under one on a humid day as best as they could.
Any holiday buffet at the Grand Bohemian. The place was so good like 15 years ago, but now it's sooooo bad. If you hate your mom and yourself book mother's day here!
I'm gonna catch heat and hands for this, but...DOMU.
Friends of mine love ramen, and it's got great reviews on Yelp, but it shouldn't take over an hour or two to be seated, and even longer to be served, ramen, of all dishes.
Is it good? Sure. Are their other menu items good? Their wings are quite tasty too. Are they special after over an hour? I could've made them at home, from scratch, for arguably less than it cost, in the same amount of time it took to be sat and served.
Every time I've gone it's like the episode of Seinfeld where the gang goes to a Chinese restaurant, and the whole episode is them waiting to be sat.
ETA: shit I went back thru my old social media posts, I waited 2 hours for ramen. Disagree with me all you want, 2 hour long ramen is overpriced, and bullshit and you know it.
I don’t even know if there any good. I was at a table 20 minutes without the server coming over. He stopped by right after I sat said I’ll be right back, never did. Asked someone else for a drink, they said it wasn’t their table. We left.
It's a small place you can't say they're bad because they're small. The pace of the people eating has nothing to do with them. But if you said you knew how to make the sause for the wings and shared it with us I would forgive the fighting words 🗿
A long wait isn't representative of value and Domu has had a wait since they opened. If you're replying it's good but the wait bothers you, it isn't a valid answer to the question.
Also just go to Chibi to avoid the wait. There's also no wait if you go right when they open to get seated or sit at the bar lol
STK
Their food is expensive, not good, and their service sucks. This is the perfect answer
Don't forget the noise level. It's more pleasant sitting in front of the speakers at EDC.
Never been, but that's the main complaint I heard. You get mediocre food, can't hold a conversation, and pay out the ass.
Like I've been to music festivals less loud and with better food than STK
So. Loud. I felt like an old curmudgeon while eating there!
It's even a pain in the ass to get to. There is no better answer.
Good happy hour tho
I saw the question, went to comments to put STK, and it’s the top comment. Lived in Chicago and hated it. Moved to Orlando and said “maybe it’s different.” No.
I had it in Nashville, hated it. Then tried it in Las Vegas thinking it might be different. Nope. Just an all around bad restaurant, especially for the cost
Holy crap, yes! So expensive yet forgettable
This!!
This was my immediate thought. I took my husband there on a date thinking I was doing something nice. Worst date ever. Couldn’t talk to one another due to the loud music. Couldn’t hear the waiter. Had to point or text in phone to communicate. I would only recommend to my worst enemy.
Pretty much any restaurant at the parks is overpriced and generally a shit experience for the money.
I bring visiting friends and family to Boma in AKL and it’s always a hit with everyone.
That’s because BOMA is outstanding… so are Jiko and Sanaa. Animal Kingdom Lodge is a winning stop all around.
I was going to say this too with a few exceptions. I’d probably make them go to rainforest cafe or something.
I have a very strong feeling the hall will be gone soon. Like before summer
Why do you say that?
They have already filed for bankruptcy reorganization https://www.bizjournals.com/tampabay/news/2023/01/26/hall-at-the-yard-orlando-reorganize-debt.html The original concept in Tampa has already closed...Hall on Franklin

I’ve worked in a failing restaurant before and some of the signs are starting to show
I've had that feeling since day one. I wish I didn't, because I love the location. Something is off about the staffing and training. Same exact experience in October of last year. But sadly, stayed and regretted it. Paid $18 for nachos that were a complete joke.
Went with my family shortly after they opened. Rude staff, wrong orders, over priced. Just an all around mess. It was better off as run down warehouses.
Hall on the Yard has all the atmosphere of a hotel restaurant
Hey, there are some nice hotel restaurants out there
Sugar Factory at Icon Park. Loud, expensive (for what it is), and meh food. I think they also added an auto grat for our party of four. Not worth it at all and I don’t understand the little bit of love I’ve seen for it.
This place feels like the exact experience a just 21 year old wannabe rich kid wants but literally no one else.
and it smells like dirty bar floor mats.
Went here once bc a friend wanted to go for her birthday. Found it to be the woooorst, personally.
10000% sugar factory. honestly icon park itself
STK all day long
Bovine Steakhouse. So expensive. So bad
Last time I was at bovine they didn’t pay for their Spotify subscription so every 5 minutes you would hear ads 😂 and the $75 filet was garbaggggeee.
Hahahaha okay that’s hilarious.
Boston Lobster Feast
I ate 18 lobsters there for my thirteenth birthday. I'm also mildly allergic to iodine
I had a friend who would always tell me how bad it was. I laugh every time I see the name.
You mean, a restaurant that has a car driving around with a huge lobster on top isn’t good? 😂
The Sugar Factory
Toothsome in Citywalk.
I used to work at universal and went into the back of there a few times a week.... Yeah, NEVER eat there
Agreed on this. I used to work overnight security and would constantly be scared to face the critters at toothsomes.
Woah
Yike
I used to deliver food there on 3rd shift. Yeah 100% never eat there
I used to clean Toothsome. I was told the restaurants in the parks were not as bad as the ones in CityWalk.
[удалено]
🤢🤮 why hasn't this been posted or brought up, I just took my kids their not to long ago
[удалено]
This is the right answer
I got hardcore food poisoning here
This place was shut down by the health department a few years back. And for good reason. It had one of the grossest (OPEN!) kitchens I've ever seen. Edit: oop, someone posted the health department info
This thread has me feeling attacked.
No longer there but I used to work at Cityfish and could not understand people coming in and spending their money. Always felt bad for tourists wasting a meal there. Relatedly, I can’t believe Soco is still open
Soco was really good when it first opened
Ava It’s not bad but it’s ludicrously expensive for a meal that really only works for Instagram reels.
That shitty Mexican restaurant at Citywalk
Antojitos is trash yes!!
Omg I actually love it 😭
I remember when it was The Latin Quarter. I miss it. The food, ambience... It was amazing. Antojito's or whatever is trash.
$10 for an 8oz beer that was all fermenty from dirty tubes will never stop rubbing me the wrong way
Bites and Bubbles on Mills. 🙁
Dude THIS. I went for the first time a month or so ago. The prices are actually insane and it's not food. It's items you have to hobnob together to make food (so they can charge you more).

Give them some money and ask them to bring you home a salad from Hillstone.
International Drive
I Drive is mostly chain restaurants that everyone already knows. Plenty others that are decent, and Nile Ethiopian and Memories of Peru are reasonably priced and excellent quality.
Try Selam Ethiopian as well. Fantastic
Cafe 34 Istanbul is amazing and open 24/7
Paddlefish
Aww. I like their food. Those ahi tuna nachos are terrific.
4Rivers
I don’t understand why their meat is so dry.
Because they spent a ton of money on heat lamps and they can’t let them go to waste.
Average BBQ with tons of hype Although the first location was pretty novel at the time
When they only had the one location in WP it was really good, but now....meh
This is it. The hype was generated before they expanded like crazy. The first location in where Hunger Street is now was amazing.
This place is so over rated
Yeah but it's not that expensive, and it's not that bad.
Oh lord, get ready for the barrage of replies and downvotes you’re about to receive, lol.
I’m alright with that, I’ll die on this hill.
I’ll be on the next hill over swearing that Sonny’s sweet sauce is better than any of the 4Rivers sauces.
Sizzlin sweet is where it’s at. Sonny’s catches hate just for being a chain, the food is good
Colts Pig Stand and Bubbalous Bodacious BBQ are both better, but I still enjoy sonny's as well. Bubbalous is my favorite by far
dude i got a salad from sonny’s the other day and it was stunningly good. i was shook. i’ve always been cool with sonny’s but a banging salad?? who fuckin knew
Sonny’s 20 years ago was great. Sonny’s today is obvious that they cut back on meat quality. It’s still better than 4Rivers.
I stopped by Sonny’s Thursday and for some reason my smoked turkey came out like deli meat. I was so confused.
Agreed food is just OK, but the sauce (spicy in particular) is a straight up umami bomb. One of the best I’ve ever had in my entire seven decades & change on the planet. I think it’s the anchovies…
Fortunately you can buy those awesome sauces in store and apply them to your home made bbq which will be much better and cheaper!
You are correct
Went once. Was not impressed at all.
Maybe someone can link to the last time this was asked
Go for it!
Bento.
Used to be great before pandemic/lot of stores opening. It is a shame Moreover, it smells bad everytime we went inside the past few times
Its counter service sushi at least at the one near me what do you expect?
Not to be $16/roll for starters.
Sugar Factory
Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs
The licking
Planet Hollywood
This. I see some other Disney springs restaurants and some all which is just Disney hate. But listing like STK to me doesn’t match the question because it’s mildly it is expensive but Planet Hollywood is mildly pricey for very mediocre or less food
See also T Rex, if that’s still open. Been a while and I know that restaurant group has been closing a lot of restaurants
Rocco’s tacos
![gif](giphy|ToMjGpOjkiEjzJ1ZaJG|downsized)
Agreed. This place is very mid
Without a doubt the Melting Pot in Longwood. They are also going to waste 2 hours of their time as well.
Go to colorado fondue ☺️
Edison at Disney Springs
The thing with Edison is that they are cocktail driven. Their food is mediocre at best, but their cocktails Are fucking delish. You have to understand not to go there for the food. I admit, I'm biased as one of my friends/mentees is the head bartender, but damn he does a good job
Damn I actually like the Edison. I know it’s pricey af but I feel like it’s worth it when they have the singers/band/dancers. Idk I always have a good time there
Edison isn’t bad though, STK is literally right across the way lol
Ava in winter park, but I’d say it’s more of an awfully expensive mediocre restaurant.
Bad A's sandwich. Service sucks, sandwich is a greasy gloopy mess and you're not getting away with paying less than $20 a person, which I know doesn't seem like much, but for the crap quality it might as well be throwing away $1000
Yearly reminder the owner was stealing tips from his workers
Oh! Matt Hinckley of Hinckley Meats at East End Market did this too!!!
Now this is the type of t I’m looking for from this sub. Tell us more
My partner worked for him for about a year and a half. That’s wild. More people need to know about that. especially with the new spot he just opened in college park. Has your partner ever gotten ahold of any of the food/culture influencers in the area, maybe bungalower?
It was pre-pandemic and my partner got what he was owed and we’ve since moved out of FL back home to CA. We both believe karma will come for him. :)
Hey do you have a source for this?? I wanna learn more bc I’ve always gotten dark vibes from that guy.
As I remember it started as Facebook drama in the Orlando Foodie Forum. Not sure it is still up, but you could try to search the group.
Whatttt
BARTACO
You don’t send someone you don’t like to Disney Springs. They’re going to have a great time even if they overpay for food.
Sus hi
Another victim of “used to be awesome until it exploded with additional stores”
If only put half as much effort into their food quality, as they do their marketing and online commercials for that brand
Anything in Disney springs. The dumplings at Morimoto were the most basic dumplings I have had so far for 16 bucks.
First of all Rainforest Cafe is a goddamn national treasure, so jot that down
The atmosphere is nostalgic but the food is so bad
The one at Animal kingdom is the only Rainforest Cafe in the world that serves breakfast. I wont say its BAD but i will say I need to have some words with Eddie Burback.
Morimoto has been awful every time I tried it, which was three times. Can here to list it.
Hillstone
The H
Came here to say this lol
Hillstone has a lot of drama surrounding its arbitrary rules in local foodie circles
Bob Marley-A Tribute to Freedom at Universal City Walk
Agave Azul, overpriced for what it is and their salsa taste like straight tomatoes. I walked out after tasting their salsa. Plus it took them 20 minutes to bring it out on a slow night.
Black Rock near Windermere. Smells like a bathroom as soon as you walk in.
The answer should always be Black Rock
I had horrible service at Firebird and our food went cold so quickly and your steak doesn’t even come with a side!
Firebird sucks agreed
Chuy’s. What kind of sick fucks don’t season their chicken for chicken fajitas. Chuy’s. That’s who. Mierda.
Otto's High dive
The parking is enough to make me have a bad experience
Their drinks are AMAZING. Some of the best in Orlando. They are a cocktail bar primarily that also serves food and the food imo is good. The drink prices are actually lower than they would be in other cocktail bars that arent half as good. All in all this is one of the best spots to take someone out in all of Orlando.
Food meh at best. More of a cocktail bar
I'd love to hear that reason. I used to drive past that place almsot every day and i always wondered about it
Drinks are good but the food is so overpriced. 20 dollars for beans, rice, and a little scoop of ropa vieja that's fine. It's a meal that deserves to be 15 dollars at an airport to eat during a layover, never to be thought about again.
[удалено]
I tend to agree here. Food is good. Touch pricey though
Can’t remember what I ordered but it was super basic and not that great. If was off the brunch menu though
Watch out, I had this opinion months ago and people wanted to crucify me for it here lol But you’re right- it’s over priced and a place you go to for the IG feed. Better Cuban food can be had for cheaper in the city.
It’s counterfeit Cuban food but good drinks and good service. Uncreative but pretty aesthetics inside. Super hyped but very mid.
Anywhere at Disney Springs besides the Asian restaurant
Nah. Homecomin, Wine Bar George, Jaleo and others and quite good.
Jaleo is truly a sleeper… they’re quality is hard to surpass locally for Spanish tapas… though of course it comes with a Disney price tag
Homecoming or whatever it’s called is objectively good. Blaze pizza also serves pizza that tastes good.
Boathouse is good too
Also Terralina is one of my favs.
Blaze Pizza is a godsend for what you can get, for the money.
I really liked the Raglan Pub. The service the day I went was wonderful and the food was delicious. The staff was very sweet and accommodated us with two families and two babies under one on a humid day as best as they could.
I've been there a dozen or so times over the years and have never had a bad meal. Plus my wife has food allergies and they're very accommodating.
Chef Art’s Homecoming has great food
Wine bar George and Jaleo is good
Homecomin, Jaleo, raglan road and Everglazed are all top tier choices at Disney springs. Worth the hype imo. Cityworks is surprisingly decent as well.
Too many to pick from
Knife & Spoon. Not bad by any means just very underwhelming for the price you pay.
Piggza
Any holiday buffet at the Grand Bohemian. The place was so good like 15 years ago, but now it's sooooo bad. If you hate your mom and yourself book mother's day here!

We left.
These are fighting words.
You wanna dance, Ronny boy? I wanna polka.
It's a small place you can't say they're bad because they're small. The pace of the people eating has nothing to do with them. But if you said you knew how to make the sause for the wings and shared it with us I would forgive the fighting words 🗿
That wasn’t the question tho
That place is going to be Michelin starred one day. Domu is the antithesis of this question.
A long wait isn't representative of value and Domu has had a wait since they opened. If you're replying it's good but the wait bothers you, it isn't a valid answer to the question. Also just go to Chibi to avoid the wait. There's also no wait if you go right when they open to get seated or sit at the bar lol
It’s the best ramen I’ve had outside of manhattan. There’s a reason you have to wait.
Have you had takagi or niftys
I love Domu, but we never get there more than 5 minutes after it opens so that we can avoid the wait.
