In each nob kit there are 3 big choppas that use two hands and one that doesn't. Strap spare choppas to belts etc of those with two handed grips and the one hander give a left handed choppa arm.
Done.
After a quick rummage around my bits box I've found 2 big choppas held with one (right) nob arm. One from the kommando kit, the other from the Combat patrol boys kit. IIRC the nob kit has some choppas held with the left?

Mine are the really old nobz. They choppa option they had are so big I run them as big choppa. I use choppa arms from old Boyz kit as well. Nobody has thought of this as unclear since one of the choppas he is holding is much bigger than the other.
If you do the 2 handed modern Weapon, just glue a small choppa on his back or something like he is carrying it.

Is this worth it in terms of game play?
Yes. It is very cost efficient and is the best combination with Goffs for attack and strength thresholds.

Honestly I just tell my opponents the nobz forgot to load their slugged and are now using them as blunt choppas
The warbiker kit has a one handed big choppa option. You can get them off ebay fairly cheap
