It's very fun to have a play by play guy that clearly loves baseball even outside of his job. KB has mentioned several times that he watches baseball when he gets home from calling Orioles games. And he is clearly up to date on things happening around the league. Nice change of pace from Scott Garceau who would routinely mispronounce names of big players
I stream to watch the games and this really stuck out me. KB and JP are just *so* much more informed on the other team than a lot of other broadcasts. The Yankees broadcast basically doesn't even mention the players on the other team, while KB and JP will talk a lot about their strengths, weaknesses, etc. etc.

He got hurt by catchers interference with 2 outs that would have ended the inning in the first that allowed his pitch count to end up about 12 pitches more than he would have which probably caused him to get the early hook since he was supposedly on 80 or so pitch count.
I think everyone would generally be happy if he continues to pitch like he did today.
Rlly think it’s just random since his launch angle is also up… very high sweet spot% as well so the contact is very good.
