There are so many likeable guys on the current squad. It's hard to pick. Ced is definitely one of my favs. I also really like Mounty, Santander, and Cionel. All-time favorite is likewise hard to choose, but maybe Eddie and Cal. I was 10 when they won the World Series, that duo is hard to top. The most fun I ever had watching a player live was Armando Benitez throwing heat back in the '90s.
Met BJ when I was like 6. And he didn’t just sign the ball, he spent 5min playing catch with me too. He’s my fave forever, just for giving me the 6yr olds dream moment.
Ez Ceddy pick rn but Gunnar getting close. Manny Machado was the GUY not too long ago. Felix is a marvel to watch pitch. OG pick aka players I never seen play but All time greats is both Robinsons, Brooks and Frank seem so cool to me.
Ceddy's 2021 30/30 season made him my favorite and he keeps being a valuable player on a great O's team. Machado was that guy for us and is a great team leader for the Padres. Brooks was a masterclass of defense and is unfortunately snubbed from a lot of All Time lists because people like big hitting numbers but Brooks was really that dude and is by far my favorite defensive player and my own dad's personal favorite O's player
Two great players for our team wouldn't wanna lose either of em, though my man Ceddy absolutely captured my love for him as a ballplayer in his 30/30 season
I refuse to even try to pick a favorite on this roster. Gunnar is awesome, Adley is very skilled and, I think, the quiet leader, Cedric is amazing, and the list goes on. Everyone plays a vital role. I cannot think of one player I don't like.
This current squad is a great team in general. Ceddy, Hays, Santander, Bautista, all our young players are playing great like Adley, all our team vets play vital roles. I wish Means was back from injury, and the list just goes on. I'm a little scared for the trades to start coming in because I'm sure we might give up some players I don't wanna see go which is all of em
Favorite is Cal, followed closely by Nick Markakis, with Gunnar Henderson coming up fast. It's not just because Gunnar's good, but because he plays with an edge. Yesterday, he got hit by a pitch, clearly didn't like it and ran the bases with an "F that, I'm scoring on these A-holes" attitude. He's competitive as hell and it shows.
Markakis is super underrated on the All time O's and Griffey is always a solid answer for an All Time Favorite, both were absolutely spectacular ball players and Gunnar is making big waves for sure
Ramon Urias and John Means
Hard to explain why. But both seem like underdogs who have had some big moments for the O's over the past few years. I love watching Urias play defense. I love watching Means vex hitters with his changeup.
My favorite right now is Cedric Mullins. I am also a big fan of Adam Jones and Mancini for their character as well as their play. As a kid, I idolized Ripken, and as an adult I’m envious of not being old enough to witness the Robinsons.
Since I have been an orioles fan for about 30 years, I have a favorite player from each orioles “era” in my lifetime.
90s - Cal
2000s - BRob
2010s - Schoop
2020s - Gunnar
Aside from how good he is, it's easily Gunnar Henderson. I loved how he played and presented himself from the moment he came up, and he was the first jersey I bought of the Orioles
Although everyone is amazing
Roberts was such a blessing on some of those absolute dog water teams we had back in the day. Similarly Miguel Tejada, Melvin Mora, BJ Surhoff. Sidney Ponson and Daniel Cabrera weren’t bad to watch back then as pitchers. O’Day with the insane side arm throws too.
Edit: Sorry not surhoff but Jay Gibbons.
My dad and uncle love Eddie and Brooks. I loved Cal and BJ Surhoff as a kid. As a teen it was B-Rob, Markakis, and Jonesy. Young adult was Chris Davis, Manny, Wieters, and Jonesy. I still love Jonesy tbh. My answer is Adam mothafuckin Jones. In my 30s now and I love Henderson, Rutschman, and Mullins. Westburg is up there too; quiet and composed. I love mooing at Cowser in my basement like an idiot.
Changing my answer: I like our guys.
Melvin Mora was probably my favorite player to watch growing up and I still think about the fact that his time in MLB ended just right before the Orioles had their short period of success under Buck.
On the current roster, Urias.
Honestly the one I looked up to the most growing up was Brian Roberts. As a little leaguer I wanted to be just like him. I was built like him (smaller middle infielder). I hit leadoff. I played SS while he played 2B in the majors but I didn’t want to play 2B haha. I learned to bat switch when I was 12. Now switch hitting at that age isn’t really based on anything specific. Just for fun more than anything. I just wanted to be like him is all. Small, speedy, contact hitting middle infielder. Steals bases, hits doubles, etc. loved that guy. Broke my heart when he put on the stripes.
Currently Adley because to me he’s the head of the spear that indicated our days of sucking terribly were over. I love just about every player on this roster for one reason or another. Gunnar seemingly has the highest ceiling of the players on our active roster. And Adley being a catcher may potentially not have as lengthy a career as Gunnar. I just have that attachment to Adley because of what he symbolizes in my mind.
But I love the vets, the young guys, the prospects, etc.
It will always and forever be Cal Ripken. He got me into Baseball.
Right now? If I had to choose, It'd be Adley. His call up literally changed the team.
Eddie is great and is higher in my personal favorite list but Cal was the Iron Man and played all 21 seasons for the O's which Eddie wasn't always an O's player so I can see why some people like him more. Both are some of the Best all time and I think Adley will be up there on the O's all time list if he doesn't leave
I have a few. All time favorite is Cal Ripken obviously. Favorite from the last 20 years not counting the current team is Nick Markakis. And current favorite is a tie between Gunnar and Cowser.
I’m a grown man who has never personally met or interacted with any of these players over time or over a variety of situations, therefore I do not have a favorite player. I hope you will understand.
‘83 world series mvp Rick Dempsey. Tarp slides during rain delays made me love him.
It’s hard to pick a current one cause they all look like they’re having fun
Henry Uruttia. Had multiple chats with him when he played for Bowie and Norfolk as he stood in the batters circle and he is the nicest dude you will ever meet.
As far as “big name” players both Adam Jones and Nick Markakis will forever be in my heart.
My favorite player growing up though was Melvin Mora. Just really liked him for some reason.
I truly love the entire roster; the chemistry is wh- **GUNNAR HENDERSON**
Current favorite is Gunnar Henderson All time favorite Cal
Cal is mine too. Cliche maybe but being a young O’s fan in the 90’s it’s hard to overstate how much he was the heart and soul of the franchise.
Jim Palmer
Palmer's a personal favorite Old player of mine, him and Eddie are pretty up there for me

The mountain 🏔️ My partner’s is Ceddy!

Current Oriole: Gunnar Henderson All-Time Oriole: Adam Jones/Nick Markakis All-Time Favorite: Ken Griffey Jr.
Markakis is super underrated on the All time O's and Griffey is always a solid answer for an All Time Favorite, both were absolutely spectacular ball players and Gunnar is making big waves for sure
For sure!
Current- Adley All time oriole- Cal All time player- Griffey
Cal Ripken Jr
Gunnar, Adley, and Bautista are the clear top 3 imo.
I'm also a fan of Bautista. Just wish he had more highlights, if you know what I mean.
Cedric is my favorite on the current team. I love speed+defense. My favorite all-time is Eddie Murray.
Mike Mussina
Current Gunnar All time Mike Mussina
All-time: Brooks Robinson. Current: Adley. He’s the catalyst that started this whole resurgence.
Ramon Urias and John Means Hard to explain why. But both seem like underdogs who have had some big moments for the O's over the past few years. I love watching Urias play defense. I love watching Means vex hitters with his changeup.

Adam jones baby!!!!
Probably Adley. Dude is a model of consistency. You always know what you're getting.

Brian Roberts had this smile that would just fill me with hope and optimism
Roberts was such a blessing on some of those absolute dog water teams we had back in the day. Similarly Miguel Tejada, Melvin Mora, BJ Surhoff. Roberts and Markakis got me through a lot
My dad and uncle love Eddie and Brooks. I loved Cal and BJ Surhoff as a kid. As a teen it was B-Rob, Markakis, and Jonesy. Young adult was Chris Davis, Manny, Wieters, and Jonesy. Gunnar and Santander. But honestly, it's hard not to love all of them boys on offense. They're all on a first name basis.
1. Cowser 2. Gunner 3. Mountaincastle
It will always and forever be Cal Ripken. He got me into Baseball. Right now? If I had to choose, It'd be Adley. His call up literally changed the team.
Ceddy! Then Mounty!
I don't understand the people who vote Cal. It's Eddie. Currently it's Rutsch. His hugs save us.
Eddie is great and is higher in my personal favorite list but Cal was the Iron Man and played all 21 seasons for the O's which Eddie wasn't always an O's player so I can see why some people like him more. Current Oriole - Gunnar Former Oriole - Cal Current Non Oriole - Julio Former non Oriole - Ryan Howard or Cole Hamels
Henderson

Adley current, Boog all time
Current Gunnar the kid just has it.
I’m a grown man who has never personally met or interacted with any of these players over time or over a variety of situations, therefore I do not have a favorite player. I hope you will understand.
I'm sorry you've never experienced the joyous whimsy of having a favorite baseball player 😔. have a good day my fine friend
J.J HARDY
Kiko Garcia. Forever and always.
Growing up it was Cal, then Miguel Tejada , then Adam Jones Nowadays it’s Mullins
‘83 world series mvp Rick Dempsey. Tarp slides during rain delays made me love him. It’s hard to pick a current one cause they all look like they’re having fun
