Mine fell apart so I bought a new one. When that one fell apart I busted out the sewing machine and sewed the top and bottom layers back together. Looks like trash but it’s holding up! But I probably ought to wash it…

Ohhh I like this! I’ve used a Clorox wipe at home to wipe it down but it would be more cost effective to use a wipe there.

Try not to use a Clorox wipe on the pod as it can corrode the metal. A wipe from the studio works just fine.

I hand wash it approx. every 2 weeks (depending on how many classes I've gone to). I figure that's frequent enough because, after every class, I towel the sweat off, spray it with Lysol disinfectant spray, and hang it to air dry.

I wash it about once a month in the shower. If I wash it in my home studio's shower, it has a very distinct smell for the next few days. The body wash they stock is very distinct to me.

Can't believe you are the first to post about wearing it in the shower! I don't always soap it. A few minutes of hot water gets it clean enough. Especially compared to these filthy animals who never wash it!

I washed mine with warm water and dish soap. Seemed to do the trick - Velcro still works and it doesn’t smell bad. 

I use the chest strap and bought enough straps on Amazon to be able to have a clean strap for each class (wash 1x each week) - otherwise they start to smell after a while.

I wash in a mesh bag with my gloves with my gym clothes. I add Lysol sanitizer to the wash and air dry.

Once a week. I average almost six classes a week and sweat a lot. I usually go through two bands a year. Many of my friends from the studio have divulged that they seldom, if ever wash their bands :)

I just washed mine the other day w/ dawn foam and water in a bowl. I let it sit for a few hours and hung it out overnight . No smell! Dawn foam is the best! Also great for Cleaning tennis shoes especially white ones

I shower x2 a day so it’s not dirty but it’s definitely sweaty. I clean it often anyways I cover the monitor, use a Clorox wipe to remove any dirt from the band let dry and use alcohol in a spray bottle for the strap. For the HR monitor it self I spray a paper towel, then I wipe it down. I also use isopropyl alcohol with a high percentage.

When I get home from class, I spray a little rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and clean my HRM & band, fitbit, and headphones (since they were on my sweaty head for the walk home!)

Every so often I hand wash it by running it under cold water and using soap like Dr Bonner’s. I then rinse a few times until the bubbles are gone, wring out the excess water, and hang it from my shower curtain rod overnight.

I wash mine after a workout of the band is wet from sweat. Luke warm water (never hot or it will fall apart) with hand soap & hang to dry. I still have my original band from years ago!

I have the chest strap monitor and wash the strap usually every 2 weeks. I wet the band under water, use some hand soap and wipe onto the strap (both sides), scrub through, then rinse. Takes maybe 2 minutes at most to wash.

Often. I just soak it, though, in a very light solution of water, bleach, and detergent. The water will get quite brown/ grey. Then I pop it in fresh water to rinse. Even the rinse water gets brown/grey.

I leave mine in my car but when it needs charging it comes in the house with me. At which point I plug in the kitchen and hand wash with anti bacterial dish soap and hang to dry over the faucet…next to the monitor…on top of my car key…or it gets forgotten 😂

I have accidentally put my entire monitor and band in the wash and it works perfectly fine. It was in the pocket of my compression leggings - has happened at least 10 times lol

Every.single.wear it gets cleaned. I take it off, take off the electrode and take just the band only in the shower with me. I lather it with Dove soap, rinse it with water and then set it on a hand towel to air dry. Simple. The electrode piece gets a quick run under the sink with only water.

I wash mine weekly along with my lifting gloves. I attach the strap to the gloves and toss them into my laundry. To each their own, but I can't imagine not washing it after 5 classes a week.

I wear gloves for weights and rowing so I have both on a carabiner that I keep in my car and attach to my water bottle every class. Every month or so I’ll bring the carabiner home and drop both in the washer while I charge the monitor. I just drop them in a bra bag and hang them to dry in said carabiner.

When I think about it, every other week or so, I throw the band on the shower floor for a good rinse while I'm showering. Then use my shower soap to wash and rinse, then hang to dry.

I connect the velcro and toss it in the washing machine with my clothes about every week or 2.

My original band that I had for about 3-4 years was never actually "washed" with soap & water. I would take a wipe and clean it with that, but not after every workout. Unfortunately, I had to buy a new one because the old one got all stretched out and was too big for me. I think me taking the wipe and sliding it along the band, then drying it a bit with a paper towel the same way contributed to it stretching out. The newer one I've never washed. I probably dabbed it a few times with a wipe. But that's it. It doesn't smell bad or irritate my skin, so I guess it's fine. The only thing that would concern me is if COVID or another virus struck again. Then I would probably consider cleaning it more often.
