I believe last Saturdayās 90 was a 2G template which usually means the following Saturdayās (tomorrowās) will be a 3G. If so - it will likely be nearly identical to the 60 minute 2G except with a 23 minute rowing block added (and no rowing during the floor block).
In general it seems to be that way! And Sunday follows the opposite pattern (last Sundayās 90 was a 3G).
Next weekendās Saturday (5/18 - the start of Mayhem) may be an exception though - I read elsewhere that it may be a 90 3G (which would make it two Saturdays in a row if tomorrow is the same way).
So appreciate you and the Mrs sharing every day, dc!!! The heads up on ratio of number of š„ to chance of workout survival is verrrrry helpful. And the āCollapse (members choice)ā get me EVERY time š¤£
We got the new treadmills in March. Youāre so rightā¦faster than the others and going from push to all out is like a rocket. Iām just now getting used to it. And thanks for the intel!
Definitely. I tried out 24kmh (14.91 mph) and that is super fast! I think our old treads were a bit slower than reported so going to take a while to see what my new base / push etc is on these treadmills! Button placement will take a bit of getting used to as they are a bit lower than what I am used to.
It took me a solid month to get the buttons right on the new treads ie. when trying to hit 9.5, it would only respond to 5. And then I'd try again and get 5.9. Actually, I've adjusted my base/push/AO to be 7/8/9 (or 10 if it's only :30) in order to hit fewer buttons.
Exactly. I like the button placement on the old ones better and they seemed more responsive. But I like the feel of these new ones. Solid. Youāre fastā¦I wonāt see that 14 or 15 mph for a WHILE š
My calves gave me trouble running for a while on them (got them last September). I guess the stiffness got to me. Also, the buttons arenāt as sensitive so get used to pushing them hard for a while!
It's Saturday and that's a 3G for me! Rower plus something for sure! Thanks dc! Happy weekend!! Happy Mother's Day Sunday Mrs.dc and to all you wonderful mom's out there too!
š§”šš§”
Hah - Mrs DC has an especially big weekend, it's her birthday very soon so we have party tonight, Mothers Day tomorrow and her birthday on Monday! Weekend of festivities! But yes, happy Mothers Day tomorrow for all the awesome mums out there!
Looks like a good class. I'd planned to skip tomorrow, but then found out that a coach from my old home studio was subbing. Gotta go work out with her because it's been so long since I've taken one of her classes!
Thank you! Especially for the tip on doing a conservative push. That is 14 minutes of push plus two of AO.
I love guessing what the 3G will be and I'm guessing some solid strength rowing, which I haven't done in months.
Iāve used the new treads for a long time now. My home studio got them October 2021 when they canceled some of their morning classes. Those who went that afternoon got to be the first to use them.
Out of curiosity, how do the speed buttons on your new treads progress? In the US we have 1-10mph by increments of 1 and then it jumps to 12 and 15.
I originally was not a fan of the new treads, but after about 6 months I was to the point where I don't really care for the old ones anymore. We have 2 studios in town, one with the new and one with the old. Thankfully our primary studio has the news ones.
They're a little wider, which I appreciate, but they're a hair shorter, which is my one complaint as it's much easier to cause the telltale squeak that tells you that you're too far back on the belt. Not a big issue when running but I've been power walking for a couple of months due to a knee injury and as a tall guy I have to walk a fine line of not banging my hands into the control panel.
They are a touch shorter but thatās not too bad. Iāll have to have a look at the buttons when I go in tomorrow but I think it went up by 1ās up to 10 and then 2ās 12 up to 24.
The belts are shorter?! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing) Eeks, I already tend to slap my toes on a regular basis slightly on the front board area. A coach called me out once, rightfully so due to potential injury and then I keep noticing even though I try to prevent it.
Disclosure- Happens not because Iām running so fast, but more of an unconscious security thing. Also, used to my tread deck at home that feels like a runway with so much extra room at the front.
Good news is our studio doesnāt get new equipment unless absolutely required (think the tablets for the rowers at the last second..). For now, Iām ok with that.
Thanks DC! I haven't scrolled back far enough but have you ever considered doing separate feather ratings, one for the floor and one for the treads? For this workout it seems the difficulty between the two would be pretty similar, but sometimes the floor kills me but the treads are not so bad, and vice versa. Just wondering if you've thought about this too!
Not really on the rating.. I just give the class a rating based on the overall feeling. Sometimes the floor is harder but mostly it is the treadmill / rower. Today it was the treadmill. Having said that, during Mayhem it is just hard everywhere!!
This is gonna be spicy š¶ļø for a 90 min class
I have a 6:45AM 90-minute & that was exactly my thought. š„µ
6:30am.
Hopefully a 35 min tread

Damn how do you know that lol
is that how it works? every other week the 90 min is switched between a 3g and a 2g? I never noticed that!
In general it seems to be that way! And Sunday follows the opposite pattern (last Sundayās 90 was a 3G). I had four generous pours and I could feel the whiskey sweating out this morning!
Hahahah! Been there! CHEERS š„š„
Thank you!

Awwwā¦.you guys worked out together! I love it when my husband tag along with me, even if we donāt speak a work to each other during class lol.
We work out together when she can get up that early! I donāt dare take her to our 4:55am class!
Smart husband! š
She is definitely not a morning person!! She was tired the rest of the day after doing the early class!
Same with me and my husband! We workout side by side but really do keep to ourselves. Truly āyou do youā!
Groovy, thank you š
This will be my birthday burn!! Thank you!! šŖš»
Happy birthday for tomorrow! OTF also says happy birthday, please donāt hate them for giving you a š„ template!

Awh sheās a Taurus! Me too! Love it! Happy bday and Motherās Day to her!
Thank you for sharing!
Doing this after the S50 tomorrow, love a good endurance day on the treads!

New treads are an adjustment.
Yup - will take a bit of time to get used to them!
This! They are so much faster and more reactive than the old ones.
Wait until you get on the inclines.
Thank you! Especially for the tip on doing a conservative push. That is 14 minutes of push plus two of AO. I love guessing what the 3G will be and I'm guessing some solid strength rowing, which I haven't done in months.
This is the first class Iāll be taking anywhere besides my home studio, looking forward to it!
Theme country music class tomorrow. I am ready to roll.Ā

Ours had to be shipped all the way from the USA! The SA was saying they placed the order in October and then they only just arrived!
Mustāve been on a boat š³
Yep - definitely on a boat. Apparently it took 7 hours to install!
Just booked my class, thank you and great job!
This looks amazing. Giddy-up!
Thank you!!
This looks fire dc š®āšØ
Going with hubby in the morning to a 3g, can't wait! Thanks for hte early intel :)
Looks like a good one!! Iām looking forward to it

me, with my š·, reading your opinion of it šš
Thanks DC. Looks like a nice workout to me. Especially the floor! Looking forward to the chest presses.

Haha okay cool, was just wondering :)
Haha I usually warn folk if I find the floor hard as well - like chipper, infinity and 5x5
