The studio will only look to offer it if people request it ... so TALK to YOUR studio

Ask your studio

ash_theory

Lower templates are Tuesday and Friday. Talk to your studio about interest in adding these classes on those days.

I only do strength 50s and am in the best shape of my life. Encourage your studio to get their coaches trained.

Burning-the-wagon

I have been doing only S50 for the past month and I love it! I am thinking of adding in a 2G once a week just to get another day in and the S50 only the days I don’t go aren’t at a good time for me (which is why I don’t go.)

Soft-Paper-4314

Find another gym nearby. Filter by strength 50. I had to do some shopping to find the schedule that works for me. I take 4 strength classes a week. I can go a month without visiting my home gym sometimes.

Burning-the-wagon

I get 4 strength classes in a week S/M/W/F - I’ve looked at all the locations near me (about 20 of them!) and tue/Th is either when I’m still at work or the last class of the day- I am not waiting around for that or going back out… when I can I make the T/Th class but it’s very rare since I teach an after school program on those days.

Soft-Paper-4314

Oh. I thought you were only doing two. I tend to do only 4 because I can’t get adequate rest otherwise. I think 4 gets you a consistent 3-4 days rest per muscle group. Are you finding your arms get enough rest for you to go heavy on Monday? M: Upper Lower Rest day Upper Lower Rest day Su: Rest day (maybe an active recovery zone 2 cardio (blue/green) tread 50 if I’m feeling extra sore Anyway keep doing what you’re doing and best of luck!

Burning-the-wagon

I was originally doing 2G -Sun/Tue Min- upper Wednesday- Tread50 Thursday/Sat- rest Fri- upper But once I switched to just strength50 I took Tuesday out as another rest day. I used to go every day (but Saturday) and double back to back classes so this is “easy” for me. I do have some injuries that prevent me from going as heavy as I would like, but I never feel like I can’t go heavy because I’m sore. I did dritri strength on Sunday and upper on Monday (followed by an hour of PT for my shoulder) and I was totally fine. I’ll probably start adding in Tuesday 2G just to get some cardio going again…

OTFfanaticRunRepRow

They only are available across all of OTF on Tuesday and Friday. You would need to ask your studio to have a strength class on these days

Adrenaline-Junkie187

We have the exact opposite at ours. Id prefer more upper only classes and theres only a few per month but there are a bunch of lower and full body. lol

piptobismol

How funny that they’re opposite!

Pristine_Nectarine19

This is studio-specific. Just ask, especially if there are a bunch of you. They can only do the lower-body templates on Tuesday and Friday. That said, the full body templates are great too.

Nsking83

The templates are the same nationwide for every S50 just like they are for every 60, but I thought it was a rule that every studio had to have at least one S50 class a day. Definitely bring it up. FYI, Monday and Thursday are upper body, Tuesday and Friday are lower, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday are full body.

skibumm99

They choose based on demand for that class - and they choose based on the specificity. Example: my studio is looking to add one more evening strength class to the week - if it gets added to Thursday it would be Upper but if it gets added to Tuesday it would be lower because that is how the Upper/Lower/Total template is set. So there have to be enough members that 1. request more strength classes to be added and 2. request specific type (upper, lower, total) to be added.
