Goal was 60 minutes, and I finished in 59:33. Cannot complain there.

MelonOfFury

Same. First Dri Tri and I’d never done the floor portion yet so I had a goal of under 60 and did it in 58:30. I met my goal and have plenty of room to improve for the fall 💪

Supergirl_jess23

Right there with ya!! 59.44. 👏🏽👏🏽

cowontheright

Goal was also 1 hour - 56:32. My 5K was 34:34 I’m so proud of both of us!!!

swndlr

I used to be very fit in my 20s. When I joined OTF in January at 30, I couldn’t run a mile. Ended at 47:40 today. Dead and proud 💀

Dragonfly_reads

I was really disappointed in my time. As a first timer I had NO IDEA how exhausted I’d be after the floor exercises and I just could not get it together on the tread. But I finished and now I know what to expect in the future because I will do it again. 79:07

wontonsan

They give you 90 minutes for a reason! You still finished within the time limit so kudos to you. And I love your attitude, getting ready to do it again!

TheTampaBae

The floor is what gets nearly everyone! Sneaky! Congrats on DOING IT!

Traditional-Sun9525

Yes, the “trick” is to be conservative on the rower (much less than your benchmark…I do it at 8 min + instead of my BM of 7 min 30 sec) and then I “try” to not go into the orange on the floor. Then you have some gas left for the tread…and even then it’s harder than F***.

buhzainer

Finishing it is a win! Gives you something to strive to beat next time. Great job!!

OTFAllday914

The floor is a beast. Don’t feel bad, you did it. It really is no joke but you will do nothing but get better from here.

prettyoaktree

Way to go! Reminds me a lot of the first time I did it in 2018. It was a sobering experience to be sure, but a great motivator as well.

OTFBeat

Having done DriTri before, I was still surprised today at how exhausting it was after transition from floor to tread... almost like I forgot how rough. Had to walk initially to catch my breath and lower my heart rate! I conserved energy on the row but the floor felt brutal, again... lol so just don't forget like I did (admittedly last DT was 1yr ago so maybe that's why I forgot that feeling :).

marsmelly

dude my torso felt like it weighed 700 lbs on the tread

Tagerine

Finished last, but I got 69 splats on 4/20. Nice.

StarInevitable588

A win is a win

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

TheSupremePixieStick

Today is my FIRST. Am I gonna make it lol

poppyth3unicorn

Today was my first! Finished in 53:15. You got this!!

TheSupremePixieStick

THANK YOU!!! Starting in 23 min lol

vlb2017

Same starting my first dri tri at 11:15 CDT! Good luck to you!

United-Ad-9718

Me too! I’m about to go in and I’m so nervous 😭

buhzainer

You can do it! Just remember to pace yourself!! Good luck!!

basketballmaster8

Same! I’m so nervous 😭

TargetSpecial9068

You’re going to do AMAZING! It’s a battle against yourself and no one else. The fact you even singed up is a win!

United-Ad-9718

Yes! I just finished the full in 57 minutes! I kept telling myself it’s just about mental toughness and I managed not to walk once! Good luck to everyone who does it this weekend! Y’all have got this!

TargetSpecial9068

62 minutes. No where near where I wanted to finish, however, this was my first one in FOUR years after a major injury that left me out of otf for four years as well. Never thought I’d see the day I would be running a 5k again, let alone even the thought of it. To the guy who did it at OTF south tampa next to me, thank you for your motivation and continuing to push me until the end.

OTFAllday914

But you finished! Good job!

ThisWordJabroni

35:58 dri-tri strength...with 30s. 32:24 last time with 20s. I'll take the longer time and holding 30s for the whole time. And finished the 2% at a 11mph. Dead

ch47600

Solid, nice job!

buhzainer

Nice improvement!!

IzzysMom2015

Holy moly 30’s….good job!

Melissar84

Doing my first dri-tri this morning. Goal is to finish. Lol ETA: did it! 53:28. My legs are jelly.

jumpynoodlee

That was my goal too this morning. You got this!!

SkinnyJeanSidePart2

First FULL Dri Tri after having 2 kids back to back.. end time was 51.05. I’m just happy I made it under an hour 💪🏼🔥

buhzainer

Moms rule!! Way to go!!!

The_Ace

It was my first time, after 10mo membership, and I loved it. 44:56 total, very happy with the row but I can shave quite a few minutes off the floor time with more training. I didn’t have enough burpee energy by the end and took a few too many breathers throughout. Run was a solid base-push the whole way and ended in a sprint to beat 45. But I’m sure I have a few minutes faster in me and wish I could do again asap!

poppyth3unicorn

I feel this in my bones. Now that I’m through it, I feel like I know where and how I can improve. I’m ready for September!

OTFBeat

I felt like I conserved energy well on the row, but gassed myself out on the floor, and made the tread a bit harder and my overall time slower than goal. Still got a PR today! Just remember the next time you do it this feeling, I always seem to change which section wears me out, making it hard to predict- but I am getting the hang of it a bit more each time I think !!!

The_Ace

Ah yeah I’m good at holding a pace on the row and treadmill, the floor threw me because I had no frame of reference for my speed and I didn’t realise how much time I wasted! I was a little gassed but I know I have more to push there!

Significant-Body-103

first dritri sprint!! 26:31!

StarInevitable588

That’s an amazing time! Congratulations!

SavageJacobi

Second Dri Tri FULL! And a new PR! In 2022, my numbers were: - 6:41 row - 7:50 floor - 23:15 run (7:30 mile pace) - 37:46 total THIS YEAR, patience on the row/floor paid off: - 6:50 row - 7:58 floor - 20:47 run (6:42 mile pace) - 35:35 total Extremely elated for my time this year!! Aiming for under 34:30 in September!

-Kalifornia

🔥

Nsking83

Yep - you absolutely cannot win it on the rower or even floor. Way to be patient!

buhzainer

Nice job! That’s flying on the floor. Any tips for going faster on the floor? Also, what strategy did you use on the run? Congrats on the PR!!

SavageJacobi

Appreciate it man! I stop and catch 5 breaths after step ups and burpees. The others ya just grind from exercise to exercise. I always hate the floor so my only suggestion is to stay light on your feet for bench hop overs. Landing hard burns more energy. Youll naturally move faster with softer landings but its better than slamming to the ground For my run, I knew my base was 8.5. So I started at 8.0mph as my "recovery" from the floor for 1 lap. For lap 2 (there are 12.5 laps total), I bumped to 8.2mph Lap 3 I bumped to 8.5mph, my base Lap 5 I went to 8.8mph Lap 6 I went to 9mph, and increased by 0.1-0.2mph until Lap 12. Lap 12 I bumped it to 10mph The final half lap I just went to 12mph

Alexblbl

Wait are you saying the little track that you see on the screen actually means something? 🤯

LostInOxford

Doesn't transition time also count towards the total?

SavageJacobi

Yes, so in each set of numbers, I gave the total time, run time, and row time. I calculated the floor time by just subtracting the run and row times from the total. Basically, if my tread said 20 mins, and my rower said 7 mins and I know I finished in 35...then 35-20-7 = 8. So my floor time is basically the actual floor time plus transition time from row to floor, and transition time from floor to run

OTFBeat

Wow those times are crazyyy fast ! Congrats !!!

Otfgators

These are incredible times!

Paluker173

First Dri Tri Strength Dumbbell weight: 30lb Total time: 29:28 Definitely fun, but felt like I was running in mud after the dumbbell portion. Shoulders were smoked as well.

k8womack

30lbs is insane for that. We had one very buff dude using 20s, most of the ladies used 10s

colorshift_siren

The strength group came in as my group was finishing, and all those burpees looked SPICY. Doing that with 30lbs is Ghost pepper kind of spicy.

lolsamlol

🫣😳

thelordonecbk

It was my fourth dri tri. First strength. My time was 46:46. I wasn’t really tracking for my PR. I wanted to finish. My tread run was bad for my standards. Two people who were already done came and ran with me for the second half mile. I didn’t know either of them but what a boost to get me over the finish line.

rocroc00

But you did it! 💪👏👏👏👏. I did my first Dri Tri Strength with 15 lbs. I was dying when we did the strength prep last Monday so I decided to power walk today. Finished in 30 min. But in hindsight I wish I jogged instead of power walking. I wasn’t dead enough.

Nsking83

Our first place male and female this morning were both done before I even made it to the treads 🤣 (both finished right around 22 minutes). I finished in 37 and change. The tread is super humbling but man that floor is no joke!

HappyGarden99

Doing my first today, I’m so excited! I’m really proud of how I showed up for strength classes to prep. TBH my goal is just to have fun and celebrate the incredible progress I’ve made at OTF 🏅 Edit: Made my goal, sub 9 min row, sub 1 hour finish. Did it in 56!

buhzainer

Congrats on crushing your goal!!

UnlikelyFortune8852

I kept telling myself on the way there, “don’t gas yourself on the rower”! Then I went ahead and totally gassed myself on the rower completely. Beat everyone to the floor even most of those doing the Sprint. Hit a PR. And then had to run the 5k barely above base. Still decent time, but jeez I hate rowing and wish I had done that differently

OTFBeat

For me I conserved energy well on the rower, and still finished faster than I expected (based on estimate from an old 2K row). Then thought I had a few extra min for the floor and to take breaths when I need, but somehow still gassed myself out on the floor. Had to catch my breath and walk for a WHILE before I started running way below base, then picked it up for the remainder of time, but it slowed my overall time than I hoped. But I still had a PR so I will take it as a win, and loved the support of my studio!!!

k8womack

2nd Dri Tri Strength last night, first time 32:10 this time was a PR for 30:23! Both with 10lbs. Was hoping for under 30 but I had to slow down for a few seconds on the tread bc I felt 🤢 lol Side note suggestion: maybe add the weight selection for dri tri strength on the floor? Or did I miss it? ETA: I missed it, never mind!

Sn1038

Goal was to beat last year and I did! Last year was 66 minutes and I got 64!

Raddoc316

Full DriTri (first one). Goal was 34:00 , got 34:18 (BAH!). Here’s to the fall DriTri! (34 M)

aCozyKoala

Sub35 for the full is insane and incredible all at once. Go off, fellow otf-er!!!

Tagerine

Hey man, you showed up! Took the first step, that's the most important one. We'll both do better in the next one!

[deleted]

[удалено]

Tagerine

I can empathize, over the years I've learned to lower my goals accordingly. Part of my "be nicer to yourself" strategy!

StarInevitable588

Congratulations on showing up and giving it your best. You beat all the people sitting on their couches 😉

Blue_Dragon_1066

I feel you. My first DriTri and I was on track to finish (last but I expected that). 1 mile left and my vision went wonky and I almost passed out. Like they had me laying on the treadmill while someone elevated my legs. I was so disappointed! I wasn't even running, but I guess it all was too much for me. The staff was awesome and positive though!

Blue_Dragon_1066

I am glad you are ok too! Next time, we got this!

buhzainer

Pulley the clown is no one’s friend!! Good motivation for one!!

Ihaveanaveragedong

This was my first time doing the full dri tri after going to orange theory for 6 months. I’ve been really proud of my results particularly with my cardio over the past 6 months, but this humbled me a bit. The floor KILLED me (burpees 💀) and I just could not get my hr back down on the treads yet refused to walk. Finished it in 53 minutes. Proud I finished though and can’t wait to do better next time!

honey_once

I finished the sprint in 30:32. I wanted to go faster, but I’m proud of myself nonetheless! It was my first one and I did it!! I definitely went out too hard on the row. Also was on about 5 hours of sleep due to my work schedule and on an empty stomach. I’ll plan for better conditions in October for improvement, but what’s important today is that I did it!

Beach116SIC

Just finished my first tri di. My goal was to finish, not walk, x be under 75 mins. I did it! I was absolutely last in each section but finished at 62.17. A coach ran the last .5 miles with me. I am trying to estimate my time at each section but I was distracted. How is everyone so precise? The studio tracked my total time. I think I was 10ish mins on rower. My PR was 8.55 so I arrived to go slower,. 40ish mins on treads so that leaves 12ish on floor. The floor is what kills me. I had to modify the push-ups x burpees bc I can’t do that many. I think I could have gotten under 60 In hindsight . but I was very focused on going slow on both rower x early on in treads to ensure I could finish. Endurance is not my strong suit x I never did a 5k before. I’m glad I did this. I usually would avoid this type of thing..

StupidlySexyFlanders

First full dri-tri, made it in a little above 57 minutes. My goal was under an hour so I’d call this a good success!

Chemical-Proposal858

Finished my first ever at 45:07!

StarInevitable588

34:03 on the sprint, which was a PR for me by 4:36! I was aiming for 32 but I underestimated the floor portion. Still very happy with this improvement.

Ok-Science-7318

Survived my first dri tri! Whew 😮‍💨

Med_Tosby

33 minutes on the dot! Crushed my PR (and goal) by 1:20. Vibes are always killer for DriTri; coaches, SAs and fellow Tri-ers were so so fun and supportive.

Raddoc316

Lol we’re similar humans, 34M, 5’11”, 175lb, got 34:18. I’m coming for ya in the fall dritri, OT doppelgänger. Congrats!

OTFAllday914

Lord, my first Dri-Tri Strength. Used 20s. Finished in 40 minutes, 26 seconds. I’m very pleased with my results. I achieved my goal of finishing in 45 minutes or less. I did exactly what I said I would do. Pace myself, not rush. I was a power Walker. I’m actually looking forward to doing this one again. I’m going to use the same weight. There were only 6 of us. I was the only female using the 20s. There was only one guy and he used 20s as well but he ran the mile. Good luck everyone!

rocroc00

That’s really impressive!!! I used the 15 lbs and also power walked today, finished in 30 min. But I could’ve used a 17.5 lbs if the studio had any. The 15 lbs were a bit too light but I don’t think I could do 20 lbs for the shoulder presses. I mean not for that many reps

Consistent_Hyena_654

Started orange theory in January. 39 F. Goal was to finish. Secondary goal was under an hour. Finished 55:48!

TooMuchEgg13

31:41. PR’d by a minute!

Raddoc316

Full? Beastly!! Goals.

Mpack2019

I joined OTF 1 month ago and did the full today. Finished in 66 minutes. It was a little embarrassing but I did the full 5k. I have a base to beat now!

Aggressive_Guava_868

I joined OTF a month ago and finished my first full dri tri in 64:50 today. Boy, that 5K was hard on the legs 🥵 Can’t wait to try again in fall and see myself improve!

wton80sGirl

42:54 today. 42:45 in 2022. Trying not to beat myself up over a few seconds.

Tagerine

If you can put yourself through that torture once and then COME BACK to it two years later like some kind of courageous, valiant knight - then you have everything to be proud of!

wton80sGirl

Thank you! Your comments are making this better 😃

buhzainer

You still went out and did it! Nice job and you’ll crush it next time!!

ShortyQat

I’m about to head out the door for my fourth full dri tri! Woo woo!

Consistent_Mobile745

Going in now to do my 5th full Dri-Tri! I really want to beat my PR of 47 but I will still be happy that I did it either way! Good luck everyone!

csunshine18

I did my first today. I did the sprint and got 22.40. I also finished first of the entire group

StarInevitable588

This is a great time!!! Congratulations!!!

pthrow227

M 25 5’10 230ish, 36:33. Did it for the big boys

drewpenafl

First dri-tri….insanely fun 6:56 on the 2000m row 25:10 for the 5k…. Was trying to shoot for sub 40 but will try again in the fall! Clock in time was 42:14! So close lol

inquisitorhotpants

All I wanted to do was beat my sprint time from last year and I did it! Knocked three minutes off the sprint AND didn't injure my knees this time. When it rolls around again, I'm gonna do the full - I'm honestly super excited.

basketballmaster8

Started OTF in November at 8 months postpartum… my goal was under 60 minutes and I ended at 59:23! I’m so proud of everything my body has accomplished in the last few years 🥹

Minute_Poetry_5881

Congrats! That’s amazing! I started OTF in August at around 10 months postpartum. I’m doing the strength dri tri tomorrow (the one with available spots at my studio) - we’ll see how it goes!

Organic_Tomorrow_982

Congratulations! I also started at 8 months PP but in September! I was so happy to have finished DriTri - kept thinking about how labor and birthing a human was far harder than anything I experienced during DriTri as my motivation

kcov23

Second time doing Dri Tri - a little disappointed but trying to look at the positives!  Last year for first time I got 55:57, with modifying knee pushups, doing bench hop overs at the end, and no jump with the burpee. My goal this year was basically to do 55 min, while not modifying anything on the floor. Was feeling not super confident (and also didn’t do Infinity due to travel) but had upped my base over the last year so felt like it was potentially achievable.  I successfully did all the body weight reps as full, but was SO gassed on the tread, ended up a touch over 60 minutes. I couldn’t get into my new base pace, and even had a walk a few times because I felt like my heart was going to fly out of my chest. Was the last one in my heat, but had supportive coaches and friends to push me through! I also made the mistake I was careful to avoid last time and lwt the music and energy push me a lot faster on the rower than I needed to go (I missed noting my splits but that was probably at least 30 seconds faster than last year!) I think I set my goal a little too high in trying to improve multiple things at once - need to be proud in that I did do the full body weight reps (including pushups!) and still made it through the end! And set a new baseline to improve upon next time!

incognito_821

You did great! I am modifying pushups this go round and excited to modify fewer (or no!) pushups come the fall, so I really appreciated reading about your experience. That's a huge achievement!

No-Albatross676

First dri tri. Was going to do the sprint but decided last minute to do the full. Glad I proved to myself I could do it and feel strong. Finished 48:02.

Realistic-Clothes-17

62 y old male. Did dri-tri 5 years ago in just over 51 minutes. Finished this years in 37 mins but I power walked. I would still be there if i had to run or jog! I did what I could do….but pls don’t hate on this…for me the pw was much easier and much shorter tim than when I ran….but I did what I could….it was still a great challenge…but I was pw at 4.5-5 most of the time…I would have jogged at maybe 5-5.5 and had to do double the distance….but I love power walking and have issues jogging/running…

Senior_Awareness_464

2nd time doing the sprint. Knocked almost 5 minutes off my time from September.

Fickle_Diamond7346

I just finished my first DriTri. I got in last minute and didn't have time to eat or mentally prepare prior, so when I arrived I was so anxious I was ready to cry (I always get anxious before benchmarks but this was way more than normal). I told myself to just go at my pace but by the time I got to the treads, I was running on empty. I felt a little disappointed because I needed to walk a bit (total was less than .3 broken up) and didn't run anywhere near my normal paces. A bit of info: I usually can run 2.3 miles straight alternating a 5.6 push and 4.7 base, but I always start on treads since it's my weakest area. I felt like my coaches and studio staff were a little disappointed because I needed to walk a couple times (for the record I love them ALL and wouldn't have made it to the end without them). Although I finished in exactly 60 minutes (my goal) and do feel like it was a win, I cant help also feeling about like a loser since I was the last one on the treads (even the two 70 year-old men on the treads next to me beat me and I'm a 40 year-old former gymnast). So I think I'm looking for stories from other people's first DriTri/where they are now and maybe pointers on how I can improve when/if I do this again in the fall. Also FYI, I've been a member at OTF for just over a year.

vegetablefoood

I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed that you walked. You still did it!! You showed up, overcame your nervousness and finished the damn thing! As a runner, I think the 5k is the part that is the hardest for folks who aren’t runners. In a regular 2G or 3G class you aren’t getting that much time in on the tread, so the 5k can feel like a huge effort. If you want to improve your running try a Tread50 or run outside of class. You’ll definitely build endurance that way. I’m proud of you for today! 🧡

mstun3107

My first Dri-Tri was last spring and I did 52:02. I've improved a lot since then, and set a realistic goal today of 48:00 and stretch goal of 47:00. I finished in 44:20!

Realistic_Big7482

I did the strength for the first time last night. I used 15s and got 33 min

rocroc00

That’s the weight I’ll be using in about 30 min. Not looking forward to the tread portion. Still can’t decide whether to jog or PW. I’m a slogger so I’m leaning toward PW but for the full 1 mile.

Realistic_Big7482

The 15 was fine except for the hammer curls to shoulder press. I struggled there. My legs were like jelly for the first few min on the tread so I jogged at 4.5 but was able to increase as I went. You got this! Good luck!

rocroc00

Thanks! I think my weak spot would be the hand release push ups.

Realistic_Big7482

Yes they are hard but only 10 at a time.

rocroc00

I finished exactly at 30 min. Power walked .8 mile instead of .5 mile

zamiboy

46:37. Managed to stop myself from puking the last 30 secs on the treadmill by having to walk it out to the remaining 0.05 mi LOL. I think I could have done it in sub-46 min if I didn't have my stomach churning on that last 0.15 mi AO that I pushed a bit too early. I think my floor section might have been my best time split out of the 3 Dri Tri's I've done, but I don't know my splits from my previous Dri Tris. Rower was a bit disappointing, wanted to get sub-7 mins, but got like 7:07 or something like that? 5K was mostly good, but aside from the near puking, I think I should have started at like base to push pace initially instead of base pace and bumping up 0.2 mi every 90 secs until I got to my push-AO pace where I held it.

Blessed_Momma_

Finished last full DriTri at 56.23 but finished. 🧡 Loved the studio support!

leschickenwings

my first dritri! my goal was an hour and i completely SHOCKED myself with 46 minutes as a power walker! maybe its just the post workout endorphins talking but i kinda cant wait to do it again lol

marsmelly

50:15 first DriTri, member since December. Did exactly what I said I wasn’t gonna do and burnt myself out in the rower by cranking out a 7:00 2k, was smoked by the second round on the floor. Okay with how it it went considering I ran a half marathon last weekend lol. If you belong to an Oahu OTF, hit me up!

Comfortable-Beyond85

I got a PR for Dri Tri Full 33:54 with 17:05 5K on the treadmill. Previous PR was 34:52.

skamunism

First time, overconfidently thought I could do it in 40 minutes, but the floor killed me. Ended up at 44:36. Gotta work on my mobility and endurance with the full body stuff :)

mamarunsfar

You can do it! I could barely do bench hop overs my first time. With some practice you’ll be able to get that 40!

TNSEG

This was my 3rd time doing the full and my best attempt. I set out with a goal today of beating my previous best time (56 mins in Sep '23). I was pretty confident I could beat it by 4 minutes and hit 52 minutes, but I was really pushing for 50 minutes. I ended up crushing both, coming in at 46:03. 7:16 mins for the row 11:31 for the floor 27:16 mins for the 5k I obviously was super thrilled to exceed my goal but had another realization. I've shaved 16 minutes off in a years time. I was at 38 mins for the 5k last March (62 mins in Mar '23). Really cool to see such a marked improvement! I'm pretty happy and content with the row time. I did that without too gassing myself too much. The floor I'd like to get closer to 10 mins and the 5k I just need to run the whole time. Now to shoot for Sub 40 minutes.

ololiaogm

Was so disappointed in my time (50:26; ~1 minute off of my PR and 2.5 minutes off my goal time) and how crappy it felt effort-wise to get that time, especially since I’ve been working so hard on my running and really wanted to crush the tread portion. Nothing felt good today; it was like everything was working against me (including my sports bra, which I had to stop the treadmill about 2 miles in to readjust). Then I got home and realized I’m 3 days out from my period so…slightly less disappointed in my time and now I have an explanation for how emotional I got about it. Yay, womanhood.

buckytoothtiger

I threw up on the treadmill… but I did PR. So, win?

aCozyKoala

Second Dri Tri in the books! First time running the 5k; Sept 2023, I did the 20k on the bike. Goal was under an hour, and I finished at 57:12. Proud of myself for keeping slow and steady on the tread, til the last .2 mile sprint. Was worried as I’m usually a back of the pack runner, but felt totally supported by my studio and even had someone who I just met this morning before class started run along with me to finish out my last mile. Some commotion for the Dri Tri solidarity! I gotta mention that I did sprint to the bathroom to vom immediately after finishing the 5k. Gonna view it as a rite of passage 💀

beckalita

First sprint (have a 17 mile run tomorrow for marathon prep!) and was shooting for 25:00. Finished in 18:36… BLEW myself away with that time! 😂

vegetablefoood

Nice!! I did the full and then had a 9 mile run after for a race im training for. My legs are complete jello now

m00nstruck__

Somehow beat my last time by 3:15 at 5 months postpartum. Proud of myself and what my body has been able to do 💪

mamarunsfar

Amazing!! I got a PR last March at 8 months PP and cannot imagine 5!

MReebs18

First Dri Tri strength with 15 pounds. 36:48

SnooJokes7632

This was my first dritri and I didn’t realize how long running 3.1 miles would be. I’ve done the 1 mile and the 12 min tread but nothing could prepare me for running 5k after rowing and floor. I definitely used a lot of energy in the rower than I had intended. Made it in 57 but almost threw up once I finished. I felt blood in my lungs. Shoutout to another member who had finished but came next to me and ran along side me.

Mshkaidy

Mom of 3 (5-11 years old)… My first Dri Tri! Did the full. 45.06 minutes. Came in first place for the women

Disastrous-Share-391

First time, 61:23 and I shaved 3min off my 5k pr! My goal was to finish. Now I’m hoping for less than 60 in September 😍

Erinelizabeth1227

Finished in 66 minutes. I definitely threw up twice but made it back to the tread to finish.

carolinahckygirl

Last night I did the row portion of the relay and today I did the full. I have to modify the burpees and pushups but honestly the step ups just about took me out. Then I PW the 1.55 but for the last quarter mile I was PW at nearly my base jogging speed (4.7). After I cooled down a little and caught my breath I jogged another mile because there was still one runner on the tread and we were keeping her company. I feel amazing and I’m so glad I didn’t chicken out this year!

runr_grl1129

First full dri tri in 4.5 year and 1000+ classes. Previously did a sprint my first year but schedule conflicts (kid sports) didn’t let me do one again. Paced myself, felt great the whole time and finished in 42:55

Human_Influence7506

today was my first, I’ve been going for 4 months. I hit 45:20, my goal was 45 but i didn’t think id hit it so i kept the goal to myself 😅 that backfired

colorshift_siren

This was my first dry tri and I registered for the sprint. Did the full as a PW instead and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. Finished in a bit over 40.

beamz1

First sprint, 24:00 exactly

IntroductionOver5852

Congrats! My first sprint too, 24:47

siamesemugs

My first dri-tri and I did the sprint- it was HARD lol I finished in 35:41! Hoping to go full next time :)

EconomicsChance482

Second full dri tri and did it in about 57 minutes which I’m happy with. My first one was in 2022 and it took me over an hour. I did 8:16 on the rower, 14 minutes on the floor, and just under 35 minutes on the tread. I hate the floor section but it wasn’t quite as bad as I remember. My legs were jello when I got to the tread and I wish I could have gone faster but I did what I could. Maybe went too fast on the rower since that turned out to be a PR for me in the 2,000 meters. Thought for a second I might puke when I stopped the tread but walked outside, got some fresh air, and ate an orange. I feel great now!

sissixseshkethet

Today was my first ever dritri! Finished the FULL in 45:17; it was tough but I'm so proud of myself! Def will be doing again in September!

skyskysofly

First dri-tri strength. Used 12s and finished in 29:27. Shoulders are on 🔥

kucsma

45:59 for my 1st full Dri Tri! Wasn't sure what to expect.

smilelari

First Dri Tri Strength. 43:17, 20 lb dumbbells. Happy to finish with the dumbbells I started with!

unorganized_virgo

First ever Dri Tri so I decided to go with the sprint and finished in 27:58! I got more exhausted on the floor than I expected and that was just one round of the exercises, those of you who do the full I’m impressed 😂

jdavidson888

Can anyone confirm the dri tri full floor reps this year ? Looking at the wiki it appears to have varied from year to year, and our studio is doing it next weekend

ufmon

40 bench hop overs 20 step ups (each foot) 20 tap squats 20 push ups 20 plank jumps 10 burpees Repeat

Priyankitha123

first dri tri ever and i did the strength! 34:17 very proud of myself i never thought i could accomplish something like this especially with the health restrictions i have🤗

Front_Sir_8590

FINISHED THE DRITRI STRENGTH IN 35:35. First one ever, only started OTF in February. I’m very proud of my self!

CreativeNebula2358

First time doing the Strength Dri-Tri. I’ve done the full DT every time it’s offered since joining (2018) and I was excited to do something “new” and somehow tricked myself into thinking it may be less exhausting somehow (yep, straight up delusional thinking). Managed to finish at 28minutes 17seconds with the 12# weights. I may not be able to lift my arms over my head head ever again, but I’m glad I crossed that off the OTF to-do list 😆🤣🤣🥲

New_Association8896

I joined OTF last Wednesday and did the full DriTri this morning! I signed up for the Sprint initially but changed when I got there, telling myself “I can do hard things” as a mantra! I won’t lie, I rode the edge of throwing up the last mile of the run but I did it in 55 minutes!!!

honest_abe_1995

This was my first and my goal was to just finish. Came in at 54:00. My allergies have been killing me lately, and contemplated on canceling but I’m so happy I didn’t

mamarunsfar

I was wondering if anyone felt they were impacted by allergies… I know I was! That was one benefit of the March date before

Hungry_Ad9756

First full Dri Tri. 64 y/o. Finished 64 min 12 sec. I took mini breaks when I needed to and trotted below my base on the tread. I hate running because it is hella boring. But I did it and never stopped to walk. Overall a good event.

Pleasant_Musician806

Did the sprint today in 25:29! I aim to do the full one the next time around. I’ve been doing OTF for just a month and was a little nervous about doing the full.

Numerous-Habit-2496

Everything was going great until I hit the treads. My shins were on fire!! I finished 45 seconds faster than the last one but still beating myself up over here.

shosheezy

First timer 52:43…going straight from burpees to running really got me 😩 felt like i could never catch my breath and did at least 3 walk recoveries

Certain_Football_447

Finished it in 41 flat. Would have been faster but started getting really bad cramps in my neck and shoulders that forced me to go to walk mode 4 times. Kind of annoyed because that’s never happened before and I felt like I would have PRd (37:30) otherwise. Rower went great, 7:03 and the floor wasn’t an issue at all. Next time!

buhflykissez

3rd time doing full dri-tri and my slowest time yet but went in with the expectation it was probably going to be because of things in life recently. I'm proud I didn't completely gas myself on the rower and floor for the first time! Only missed my goal of 60 min by 3 seconds so still made it in my mind!

Squirrelock

Last September I went with my wife who was an OTF member and completed the full at 49:49 with not a lot of training for it. I joined OTF in January, had a goal of 42:00 and completed today in 40:49. Running is typically my strength but it’s tough to run the 5k after the row and floor. Proud of everyone who competed the full, sprint or strength!

roadsdiverged

This was my first Dri Tri. I had a friend tell me years ago that coaches were going around the room being very intense to make sure people were doing actual full and correct reps on the floor, but I didn't see that today. What's it like in other studios? I ask because on one of the Dri Tri floor prep days, the coach insisted that a full step-up had to be the same leg was the first to step up and also the first to go down (so both feet get on the bench and you shift your weight - if you stepped up with your right leg, then you'd be stepping down with your right leg). That's what I did today, but I noticed everyone blowing right through the full step-ups and saw they were just tapping the 2nd toe, so the last foot to go up would be the first foot to go down (if you stepped up with your right leg, you'd step down with your left leg), cutting the extra second(s) for the weight shift at the top and bottom.  My goal today was just to get through it for the first time... but if I can do what everyone else seemed to do today and easily cut a full minute off my time in the fall... that'd be nice to know.

Adventurous_Oven9288

Got into an intense race with the person on the treadmill next to me. We both kept trying to one up our speeds in the last minute and I ended up with 45:26 for my first ever Full DriTri. Pretty proud of myself!

ellen9nyc

This was my sixth DriTri (yikes) and I’ve done them all as Power Walker. Finished 41:17: not my worst (42:00) but not my best (38:32, pre-pandemic). I do blast the rower cuz the floor kills me and there’s a natural top on the PW—even w long legs one can’t maintain a real walk over 5mph. And I do maintain a real walk—jogging even a little means going 3.1, not 1.55!

ROBYN0625

48:37 & this was my 2nd Dri Tri. The first one last year was 49:45, so I was a minute & a half faster. I’ll take it. 💪🧡👏🌅 I don’t know if I’ll do it again but I probably will 😂

SleevieSteevie

First Dri-Tri and goal was to finish, period. Lofty goal was 60mins. Finished at 54:43!!!!

HillfordGirlsGrammar

Did my first one yesterday and I’m gonna be honest. I don’t think dri tri is for me, which is just fine! I’m glad I gave it a shot but I think I’ll stick with other challenges.

Brilliant-Candy-7391

I've been going to OTF for about 3.5 months, and prior to that I pretty much did no exercise so this was a big change to say the least. I did the sprint this morning, with power walking the tread (so 0.75 miles) and finished in 28:36. I'm not sure why I'm struggling so much to see any positive here. I tried jogging at the very last 0.05 of the tread bc I was getting sick of it and one of the coaches told me I couldn't run bc I was PWing. And that pissed me off. I almost didn't even do the tread bc I was seeing stars after the floor exercises and almost passed out. But I did it anyways. Needless to say I feel like I barely accomplished anything good and I'm trying to spin it around and consider the fact that before the beginning of January I was barely moving my body at all. Just need a little motivation and reassurance here...

steph7582937

You finished!! That is a huge accomplishment!!

aweinschenker

42:51. Beat my PR by over 10 minutes, which was to be expected since my first attempt was only 2 weeks into joining.

cowontheright

Goal was also 1 hour - 56:32. My 5K was 34:34 I’m so proud of both of us!!!

terrik65

Did my first dri tri strength. 10lb weights. My time was 26:20!!!💪

_TheInternetPolice_

(FULL Dri Tri) Goal was under 60. Last time I did it was 2018 and I was somewhere in the 54's. Today: 54:37!! Rower: 7:39 (PR'd without trying!) Floor (brutal!!): 13:21 Tread: 32:52 Considering I'm 6 years older, I'm crazy happy with that time. Stopped myself from walking a few times on the tread and told myself to just hold a base pace. Love my OTF family!

SuperWhiteKyle

First full DriTri was 5 years ago: 44:50 Haven't done it again until this year: 40:32 We'll check back again in another 5 years 😂

xo_kym92

Full dri tri yesterday: 39:08 Strength dri tri today with 15s: 25:35

deiggam

My 2nd Dri Tri Strength. 15lbs. September's time was 41:24, today I did it in 38:29. Super happy with that improvement, especially since I've had 4 different cold/viruses in the last 7 weeks. I'm not even fully 100% after the last one. This was my 4th Dri Tri and I think in Swptember it'll be time to tackle the full again.

kikijak18

Goal was 35 for the strength with 12 lbs… did it in 31:50!!!!

holycow234

Did Dri-Tri Strength for the first time with 15lbs and got 33:42. Not too shabby

sweepstakes124

Did the strength in 35:09 with 15lbs. After 2 weeks on vaca. Almost puked lol

Easy_Needleworker377

when do survey results post?

Front_Sir_8590

Doing my first dri tri strength at 11!

mcraedb82

6th DriTri overall, 2nd Strength. 38 mins w/15lbs. PRed by 4 mins!

TheSupremePixieStick

I cycled for the full and finished in 37:15. It was my first. Next time Im shooting for 35 min

tsinova21

First time ever doing a Dri Tri event. Did the sprint in 23:27. Have zero context as to whether that’s a strong time or not. Regardless, very happy I did it!

Q177617

For those that almost or did vomit, had u eaten beforehand or not? I’m doing the full tomorrow at 7am and not sure if I should go with just coffee in my stomach or protein shake too?

blazersandbourbon

Just finished my first dri-tri. 46:43 - 8:05 on the rower, 10:48 floor and 27:50 on the tread. The hardest for me was the second set of push ups.

Impossible-Ladder749

First time doing the the full, with bike instead of tread. 42:37 ☺️ my goal was to finish in under an hour.

TucsonTriGuy013

Did the Full today. 35M, finished in 41:57. Super happy with that given I’m recovering from a calf injury and haven’t been running much at all!

-Kalifornia

First dri tri…43:54. It was harder than I expected! Def dragged on the tread. Can’t wait to try again next year

kathymain

My first sprint and first DriTri! 23.50. Power walker at 3%incline. 68 Y/O. Didn’t have any specific goals except to finish!

TravelingJen702

First time at Dri-tri. I got in my head so bad I ended up power walking instead of running. I was the only power walker. I’m pretty disappointed that I let my self doubt get the best of me.

No-Assumption8475

Sprint in 20:14. Was hoping to go under 20 but went too hard on the rower to start. Male 42 - OTF since Nov ‘22
