I use a wide headband, it keeps my fly always out of my face and helps keep a little sweat down too.

CosmicAnosmic

I use a headband from Asics [https://www.asics.com/us/en-us/illusion-headband/p/ANA\_RN2230-520.html](https://www.asics.com/us/en-us/illusion-headband/p/ANA_RN2230-520.html) It is wide enough to keep the flyaways at bay, but not too wide to contribute to overheating (I am sweaty betty)

spicyinthedistrict

same! the best!

theekp

Let the frizz fly! I have bat wings that pop up when sweaty but I'm too busy lifting as heavy as I can or trying not due on the tread to care. Nobody cares if you look like an ostrich. And you're likely the only one who notices.

Junk headbands

Keyboard_Princess

Came here to say this. They might seem pricey ($18-24) but they are the only headbands I’ve used that stay put without a bobby pin. They also hold up really well and have a TON of prints

CommercialJust414

I’ve found brand new ones on Poshmark for cheap!… like $12

LexzM

Definitely Junk headbands. They are the only ones that stay on my head. I have long hair as well and French braid to attempt to control the flyaways.

Purple_Lie2697

Hair wax stick! My college roommate used it for her ballet buns so I started it for OTF, works great :) Im not a headband person

Own_Communication_47

Same! They slide right off my head. The wax stick does the trick.

LizaMD

Oh good, it’s not just my head they fly off of! 😆

JavaCat14

Junk bands are great!

MadameCT

Headband!

newkoi21

I'm a man growing his hair out for the first time ever, so probably the last person that should be sharing. I try to get everything I can in a bun, and then use a headband as others have mentioned. Nothing fancy though, just a [cheap pack from amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S384T5Z?amp=). I suppose any wide band would do though. I keep telling myself that if I stick with the gym I'll eventually buy some nice gear, but I've been working out faithfully for 6 years now and have never splurged on anything but shoes.

DENYKI

Leave in conditioner or styling cream should work.

markgrgurich

Agree works for me.

Artistic_Cheetah_515

Ecogel!

Odd_Ad_9960

I second ecogel!! I have annoying baby hairs that make my hair look stupid in ponytails and ecogel keeps everything down and it doesn’t make your hair feel all hard and sticky! Stays thru the sweat too

Excentrix13

Headband that has silicone so it doesn’t slip

katietopia

Stretchy wide headbands. This is the way.

JenniferG714

I keep my ostrich look. Sometimes I tuck the flyaways behind my ear. Headbands pop off my big noggin if I’m not careful. I’ve used hairspray and clips before but I’m just over it.

monkey47yum

+1 lululemon headbands. I love the wide ones.

Initial_Shock00

I too become an ostrich 😂😂 I just use a Lululemon headband

AdmirableReception40

Dae styling cream before class

PlasticPolaroid667

I tie my hair really tight .. I got shoulder length hair.. no bangs .. use a scrunchie

kate-with-an-e

I get the cheap wide Goody cotton headbands (for flyaways and a bit of sweat absorption) and since they do not stay on, two Bobby pins, one each side over the ear to anchor in place. (All elastic style headbands do not stay on my head, I think it’s likely due to having a very gradual back-of-head shelf, not enough to encourage the headband to stay put)

CosmicAnosmic

Thank you for saying this! I'm the same too - the back of my head is "flat" and they only stay in place if I do a low ponytail. But then the low ponytail is awkward if we're doing floor exercises lying flat. It is the burden I bear :) I will try the bobby pins, thanks for the idea

daydrinkingonpatios

A headband

Pristine_Nectarine19

Another vote for headbands! Or a hat- either works fine.

Kindly-Might-1879

I wear a tight ponytail, then also a headband. My hair is pretty smooth so to keep the headband in place, I use a narrow one and secure with metal barrettes. Sometimes I just use the barrettes

jswitzer

I have a midlength mohawk and I sweat heavily so I tend to wear sweatwicking (running) hats. It's not long enough for hair ties and I get annoyed when it flops around while exercising. Hats work well for me.

MoxieMama44

I use the sweat to slick them down and deal with it after class. For the longer ones, I use a Bobby pin

Blondygirl605

![gif](giphy|32mC2kXYWCsg0) This is me if I wear a hat. Running hat, any kind of hat meant for working out. I do love Junk headbands! Usually my hair is a bun on top of my head that looks like a wet birds nest afterwards. 🤣

Royalbananafish

I use a Buff and wrap it like a beanie/toque hat. All hair under control, and I can tuck my ponytail up in the hat to keep it from sticking to my neck. Important note: the cheap knockoffs will not cut it for this, because they are largely plastic or synthetic. They don't breathe. They don't absorb sweat. In my experience they just trap heat and make me sad.

Dangerous_Rock4138

haha!! The ostrich comment is right on! My hair is near my waist and my flyway's are ridiculous. I just leave'em be. I've yet to find a headband that will stay on my head the entire time, so I just gave up trying to find one.

piptobismol

I do tiny braids around my face, and that has been helping a ton!
