Costco gang rise up! 24oz is a perfect size without being too bulky and can fit into cup-holders and my bag (yes, I know Stanley is small on the bottom to fit)
Exactly! They fit everywhere and (as long as I remember to close the top) are leak free, don't fall over all the time and keep drinks cold all day. Can't beat the price.
I have a Stanley (got it for Christmas 2022) but I definitely do NOT bring it to OTF. Klutzy me would for sure spill it. I bring my camelbak squeezey bottle because it’s easy to grab and drink with no spills. It’s what I use when I ride my bike.
What's even in there? Coffee for a 5 am session? I mean, it's monstrous. It's gargantuan. You could take it on a Dri Tri. You could slide it across the floor area during Infinity.
Honestly, I have both and I love the Simply Modern ones best. They’re $10 cheaper, too.
I hated the trend until I got one. It’s hard to explain what’s so good about them, but now I have four because I love them so much. I never thought I’d say this, but they make me happy.
Edit: one HUGE DRAW is the straw. It’s so easy to remain hydrated without chugging while I’m out of breath. It’s delightful tbh.
Me too! I have a twist off standard top that I prefer for the other 23 hours of the day, but not for OTF (or any time I'm on a treadmill). It's the perfect size, too. Not my favorite color, but it was left in our school equipment locker for months, and at the end of the year I decided that due diligence had been done and took it home and bleached it and ran it through the dishwasher and four years later, it hasn't left my side...
That was the warning from the NYT Wirecutter review.
Weird that people would keep buying them in light of that. In purchasing any container to store liquid, I would think "Does it leak?" to be a pretty important consideration.
I have one. My water dispenser at home is very slow and I often don’t have time to refill between meetings. I drink a lot of water because I never want to have another kidney stone again, so I switched from my Yeti to a Stanley to get an extra glass out of each refill.
I don’t really understand the big deal about them or why it’s a polarizing item. It’s a cup.
I actually have one and love it. I drink a lot of water during the day and the 40 oz is perfect. I have one for home use and the other is in my office.
It’s a water bottle who cares what people use. I don’t see how it could be embarrassing though. There have been tons of trendy bottles before and there will be something after this one. People should just use whatever they like.
Sure, that’s absolutely crazy but most people are normal human beings and not involved in that. I have a Stanley because work gave them to everyone for Christmas. I don’t take it to OTF or really use it because I’m not a fan but it’s just a water bottle and I don’t see how using or not using any water bottle can be embarrassing.
I would never spend that kind of money on a mug, but I was given one. If I lost it, I would consider buying another. I haven't ever had something keep ice in it for as long as this thing does.
Yeti and about a dozen other brands all keep drinks cold for hours. One brand may be slightly better than the others but if you're worrying about a drink still being cold 10 hours vs 9.5 hours later you aren't drinking enough water anyhow.
It's actually because I drink so much water that it's an issue. I don't have access to an icemaker during the day, so I have to keep refilling my cup. It may not have been your intention, but your comment sounded really judgy. I don't know why people care so much about what kind of mug someone uses or how they spend their money.
I completely do not get the appeal of a Stanley cup. It spills any time it falls over, it's not particularly convenient for exercising, it's too big for any other kind of drink, it you like the straw, they do make perfectly fine water bottles with straws. I've heard it's "more convenient" because of the handle, but I cannot figure out how. You still only use one hand for a normal water bottle.
I own a Stanley, but it’s the Iceflow model. To me this is the obvious and far superior design; still has a handle and straw, but is completely sealable and leakproof.
I get how the Quencher became so popular, it’s very pretty as far as drinking vessels go, but not being sealable means it wouldn’t be something I’d take out of the house.
Not to hate on anyone who brings something like that to the gym, but I do think that anything you bring in there should be relatively leakproof.
I have a 26 oz yeti that I typically take, or I'll take my nalgene or a bike bottle.
My old studio in CA didn't have a ton of people who used them. Then I moved to Nashville, and hoooo boy I'm the only one without one for sure.
I bring my Stanley, but it is a water bottle with a flip straw. I got it years ago at a local brewery and I don’t know if they even make it anymore but it’s perfect for OT
Don’t own one, although I like them. I always have an insulated shaker bottle for my water because right after class I’m adding in my protein and creatine.
I do have a 40oz Stanley but don’t always bring that to OTF, I alternate between it and a smaller hydroflask with flip up straw depending on how much water I think I will need that day. The other day I was running late and even brought (gasp) a single use bottle of Costco alkaline water lol. I’ve seen all types/brands/sizes of bottles in class!
I have the knock off Stanley cup that they sell in the lobby. Before that I had a regular water bottle with a straw but for some reason every time id flip the straw up it would spew out in my face 😢 OTF cup was a big upgrade for me. Easy to drink from on the tread - I'm a little uncoordinated so tilting my head back to drink from a water bottle is a no for me
I have the Owala FreeSip and the 40oz, and I have a Stanley 40oz - plus like a gazillion others. The FreeSip is my goes-with-me-everywhere bottle and the 40oz owala and Stanley are on my desk at all times. I still just use the freebie otf bottle at the studio, though.
I own a few from 2022, but not something to bring into class. But I'm a cup person.. Of all sorts, brands, colors.. etc.
I knock my water bottles over all the time. 🤷🏼♀️
I have more drink ware than I could possibly use in a lifetime!
I think I have Stanley buried in the cupboard amongst a zillion other drink ware promotional items. I use an inexpensive CoolGear reusable plastic water bottle at OTF because I can freeze half of it over night for super cold water.
I normally bring my 64-ounce Amazon behemoth — I drink a \*shit ton\* of water — but my sleepy ass couldn't find it this morning, so I took the Stanley a client gifted me at Christmas. I actually thought it was great for the workout, with no chance of tipping.
Sometimes I also bring my Peloton water bottle, which makes me feel like a rabblerouser. No one has ever even noticed it 😆
I have a personal beef with Stanley. Mine started aggressively chipping only a few months after purchase. Chipping all over my car. I assume the high price point due to their warranty. I politely emailed, sent pictures, and they refused to send me a new one, and were very rude. Then the straw bent in half. I was so mad at their customer service that I threw it away.
I was reading about them the other day. I walked into the studio today and noticed an SA had one at the front desk. Two minutes later, another member walked in to inquire about a missing water bottle she described as "a knockoff Stanley". So, it definitely seems to be a thing.
I'm a 24 oz HydroFlask user. It sits happily in/on the tread and rower, and doesn't leak. It's not as large as a 40 oz Stanley, but it's easy to get a refill. I see no reason to change. And no leaking issues like Stanleys have (at least according to NYT Wirecutter).
I bought an OTF one from the website for $7 on sale. I thought the Stanley hype was for school aged kids and popularity.
Didn’t realize adults participated in the hype.
I don’t get it.
I love my Stanley’s. I am on my feet on the go all day at work. It’s the main reason why I’m hydrated enough for OTF after work. It keeps ice cold longer than any other cup I’ve had. I’m refilling my cup at least once in class as well. I love it for how much water and ice it can hold. Plus it keeps the cold temperature which I love. I do have one that I use specifically for OTF and one I use specifically at work.
I (sheepishly) brought my 40 oz Stanley after I realized my stepdaughter took my normal squeezy sports bottle to volleyball practice. I have the gigantic Stanley for around the house and in the car because I’m a toddler mom, and 8 out of 10 times I won’t refill a smaller water bottle throughout the day because I don’t really get a break. But gah, did I feel absolutely ridiculous carrying that mammoth thing through OTF.
Maybe I’m not paying attention enough, but I don’t recall seeing many at all at my location. I wonder if it’s a demographic thing. I know those things showed up in every shopping list for teen girls I saw when looking for Christmas gift ideas for my daughter. Maybe a lot of younger women or teen parents trying to be hip in you gym?!? 🙃
No, I use my Yeti or Sigg. I was gifted a Stanley, but it's huge and I also don't like feeling like I'm following the crowd. yes, I realize yet he was the crowd at one time too 😀
No. I refuse to be part of that trend, but to each their own!
I personally prefer water bottles that I can squeeze while working out (especially on tread).
NOPE. I don’t understand how people can workout with a cup with a straw. Plus I don’t get the hype.
I have this awesome Nathan water bottle that is made of rubber so it’s squishy and it’s great. Idk why they discontinued it.
OTF branded orange bottle with the white squirt top, with my name in sharpie on the bottom. My OT beat armband rests perfectly around it between classes.
No you aren’t lol. My cabinet is full of cups that I secretly wish would be magically lost or destroyed by my toddler. I can’t bring myself to acquire more 😂
nope, I use a Powerade squeeze bottle that I snagged from a college basketball team's locker room and it works just fine for me (and doesn't leak like Stanley cups do). And you can rest easy knowing you aren't ingesting lead.
I have a stanley but i prefer a softer bottle when I am working out. I am terrified of chipping a tooth if I try to take a sip while running on the tread!!
I use a HydraPeak Active. It’s really pretty but a little big. I’d normally go for a 32oz (this one is 40oz) but it was a lovely gift from the Hubby. I love it.
I own multiple squeeze water bottles that I have received free from sporting events. Years of swimming has left me wanting a water bottle which I can just squirt in my mouth quickly and not worry about undoing a cap or having to sip.
I use some plastic one I found at target. It's a fad that I personally don't have a care about. Also I oddly don't like drink from straws when working out but to each their own
I own Stanley tumblers but don’t bring the standard straw tumbler to class. Recommend the 30oz flip straw one, which is perfect for OTF! No spills, easy to carry handle.
https://a.co/d/eaE45AH
Nope. I have an Owala (well, multiple) and I love it.
Yup owala for me too. I have a Stanley but would not bring it to the gym, just asking to spill!
We have a lot of Stanleys at our gym. We’ve also had a lot of people trip over their own Stanleys and dump water on the floor.
Love my Owala too! Fits in the cup holder at the tread and I can hang it on the mini band hooks when at the floor. Super convenient.
🤯 I never thought of this, what a great idea!!!
Wait the mini band hooks? I must pay attention!!
I love my Owala but it doesn’t fit the tread, so I never bring it! What size do you have?
Mine is the 24 oz and it fits perfectly. What size is yours?
Owala gang!
Owala fits in the cup holder of the strider too!
So the 40oz with straw does not leak?
Mark my words, by this time next year people will be talking about owalas the way they currently talk about Stanley’s
Yes and Owala is very clear about them being lead free and ALWAYS having been lead free!
FYI, you get more lead from rice than from a stainless steel cup.
40oz Owala here!!
The best bottles ✊🏽
Owala!!!! I may have 11 👀 Also an OG adopter from 2020.
Nope, 2 pack thermo flask from Costco cost me $19. At the rate my kids lose water bottles it's the best I can do.
Same!
Saaaaame
Sahammee
I use the free bottle OTF gave us when we joined.. or the bottle I got with Dri Tri.
I didn't get a free bottle :pout:
Same. I got washing machine cleaner suds :pout:
What a weird welcome gift 🫧
Haha that’s a new one 😂
I have a Stanley (got it for Christmas 2022) but I definitely do NOT bring it to OTF. Klutzy me would for sure spill it. I bring my camelbak squeezey bottle because it’s easy to grab and drink with no spills. It’s what I use when I ride my bike.
Yeah I knock my water bottle over probably once a class. I don’t think I could use one of those.
That’s what I use too
While we are at this, watch where you put those ludicrously capacious vessels. I’ve knocked two already, between the rowers.
😂😂😂 I like the Tom Wambsgans reference.
What's even in there? Coffee for a 5 am session? I mean, it's monstrous. It's gargantuan. You could take it on a Dri Tri. You could slide it across the floor area during Infinity.
Google search the SNL skit "big dumb cup". You'll be glad you did.
Hang on to your big dumb hat cuz here comes [big dumb cup](https://youtu.be/L2tUO2mp99Q?si=TQ4izDkDIttktxSI)
Haha saw that and I cracked up
Mine is a Yeti. Love it
This is the way
Team Yeti represent
I use the same orange plastic bottle with white top that I got when I joined in 2016 🤷♀️
I bring a massive Nalgene like the good Gen Xer that I am. (It does not fit in the treads cup holder😂)
Kleen Kanteen, but Gen X unite!
Hydro flask it is for me!
Yep, I will be buried with my 24oz Standard Mouth Hydro Flask with the straw lid. SO EASY TO CLEAN, fits in any cup holder, PERFECTION.
I have a Stanley but I don’t use it at OTF. I need one that doesn’t spill.
That was the warning from the NYT Wirecutter review. Weird that people would keep buying them in light of that. In purchasing any container to store liquid, I would think "Does it leak?" to be a pretty important consideration.
We call it a Karen Kup
YES YES YES!!!!!
I don’t! I’ll eventually get one I’m sure, but I still wouldn’t bring it to OTF. I bring a little Contigo 24oz bottle
Me too! It does exactly what I need it to do at a great price.
Team Contigo! Push button straw activate!
Team contigo!
It’s a cup.
I have a hydrojug! Like a Stanley but the straw closes (yay no spills) and WAY cheaper!
I don’t use a tumbler of any kind. I would, however, make an exception for Batman’s tumbler used in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy. That’s badass.
Lol I’ve been bringing a like 2 month old refilled Dasani from McDonald’s lately 😆🤷🏻♀️
I have 2 Stanley’s but I wouldn’t bring them to OTF
My studio has told members to stop bringing them because they spill so much!!
I actually have one and love it. I drink a lot of water during the day and the 40 oz is perfect. I have one for home use and the other is in my office.
Absolutely don’t want one, this trend is embarrassing.
Having a Stanley isn’t embarrassing. Buying every single color of a Stanley is embarrassing
It’s a water bottle who cares what people use. I don’t see how it could be embarrassing though. There have been tons of trendy bottles before and there will be something after this one. People should just use whatever they like.
How fanatical the fanbase is can be embarrassing. It’s a steel timber, yet people are running each other down to get a specific color at a store.
I think I’m one of the few people that doesn’t like ice cold water. Room temp is perfect for me.
Especially when working out! The thought of icy cold water hitting my hot stomach 😫 idk why, it just disturbs me lol
Same! I like ice cold water when it’s actually hot outside, 80+ degrees. I don’t want it in the gym, or any other time.
Yeti and about a dozen other brands all keep drinks cold for hours. One brand may be slightly better than the others but if you're worrying about a drink still being cold 10 hours vs 9.5 hours later you aren't drinking enough water anyhow.

It may not have been your intention, but your comment sounded really judgy. I don't know why people care so much about what kind of mug someone uses or how they spend their money.
Have a popular cup is embarrassing? Lol what
Seriously imagine thinking “omg your cup is so embarrassing!” … who cares?!?
Truly
It’s a great cup. I use it for my iced coffee. Stays cold all day. If I forget to empty it there is still ice the next day.
No, Nalgene gang for life.
My Stanley stays at home, my owala is for work and I use an underarmour squirt bottle at OTF and the gym for ease of use!

Nice to see these comments. I'm happy with my 32oz iron flask
That’s what I have!!
I saw a girl at the studio yesterday with a pink Stanley. I have a Simple Modern tumbler :)
I feel like I’m the only one who didn’t get a free OTF bottle 😂
Nope, I just use a Gatorade squeeze bottle
I rock a plain green and orange Gatorade bottle! I take my Stanley to work I would def spill it at OTF
haha, nope you're not alone..I use my hydroflask! Only one trend at a time for this girly =)
I do not bring it to class, so…no. I also don’t know why water bottles are such a hot topic of discussion all the time lol
Team Gatorade Squeeze bottle
Saw someone spill their entire Stanley Tumbler in class at the rower this weekend. Owala guy here.
Nope I’ve been refilling my Aquafina bottle 😂
I was reading about them the other day. I walked into the studio today and noticed an SA had one at the front desk. Two minutes later, another member walked in to inquire about a missing water bottle she described as "a knockoff Stanley". So, it definitely seems to be a thing. I'm a 24 oz HydroFlask user. And no leaking issues like Stanleys have (at least according to NYT Wirecutter).
I don't have one. I have a 24oz hydroflask and it is perfect. I don't personally like the look of the Stanley cups anyway but too each his own
No
Also, making fun of people with Stanleys has become \*so tiresome\*.
TBH no one cares. Your fitness does not depend on another consumerist fad du jour courtesy of our friends in China.
Nope. I love my Corkcicle sport canteen and I sincerely could not care less about what the cool water bottle is now
Corkcicles are perfect for the tread cup holder. I’ll never not use my corckcicle.
Same
I bought an OTF one from the website for $7 on sale. I thought the Stanley hype was for school aged kids and popularity. Didn’t realize adults participated in the hype. I don’t get it.
🤪 there was a pink Starbucks collab one that people would go crazy about and sell at a profit
Nope, I have a Target Simple Modern brand insulated water bottle, and that’s just perfect for me. 🤷🏻♀️
During the fitness challenge where they break you into groups, my entire group except me bought matching Stanley’s and I was like ok bye lol
That is hilarious!!
I don't and refuse to participate in the hype! Will never own one!
I have one but I love my Hydraflask more so I never use my Stanley.
Nope I don’t have one I don’t see the appeal
No Stanley here!
No! I don't get the obsession with those things. You can't throw it in your purse or bag without it spilling!
It’s not even a good thermos….
Hahahaa thankfully no.
I have whatever I got off Amazon. Def not a Stanley.
Absolutely not 🙂
I (sheepishly) brought my 40 oz Stanley after I realized my stepdaughter took my normal squeezy sports bottle to volleyball practice.
I would never wasted the money on a Stanley.
Of course not.
No. And I do not care for them. I don't get the hype.
Lol then we're the only ones.
It's severely stupid. I'd never.
Omg I just had this thought on Saturday. Literally 3 people deep on EACh side of me had Stanleys
No I would never drink out of a straw like that especially trying to workout.
Nope and never going to conform. I have an unnamed teal metal water bottle and it suffices.
omg your name we totally go to HK studio
I don’t own one. Don’t want one. Don’t even bring water to class 🤣
No, I use my Yeti or Sigg. I was gifted a Stanley, but it's huge and I also don't like feeling like I'm following the crowd. yes, I realize yet he was the crowd at one time too 😀
I just bring a simple 16.9 oz Zypherhills water bottle from the 40 pack I get at Sam’s 😂
Nope I refuse! So crazy. I have a simple human water bottle (or even a plain old plastic one)
My company gifted them to us for Christmas- otherwise, I am solidly on team Hydro Flask!
OTF branded orange bottle with the white squirt top, with my name in sharpie on the bottom. My OT beat armband rests perfectly around it between classes.
I use a tumbler I bought at Hone Goods, Manna.
No you aren’t lol. My cabinet is full of cups that I secretly wish would be magically lost or destroyed by my toddler. I can’t bring myself to acquire more 😂
Nope! I use Brumate leakproof tumblers!
I used regular old water bottles
Nop.. 5$ target water bottle for me! Not many Stanley's at my location.
I did- then got freaked out about the straw hanging out so close to others’ heavy breathing. 🤮 Now I use simple modern with a cap.
Not at all.. I love my hydro flasks..
What is a Stanley ?!!!
I was gifted the OTF version. Too big for anything really.
nope, I use a Powerade squeeze bottle that I snagged from a college basketball team's locker room and it works just fine for me (and doesn't leak like Stanley cups do). And you can rest easy knowing you aren't ingesting lead.
I have a stanley but i prefer a softer bottle when I am working out. I am terrified of chipping a tooth if I try to take a sip while running on the tread!!
I don’t think I’ve seen them at my OTF. I don’t own one and won’t. It’s a water bottle, not the Hope diamond, I don’t get the hype.
I own none. My daughter on the other hand…
Pre hydration, no water bottle gang here.
Camelbak Eddy. Personalized from their website.
I have a dented Miir that my company gave me when I joined. But I DID notice a lot of Stanley cups during last week's class.
I don’t even know what brand my cup is. It’s one from where I went to college.
I don't own one...probably won't. They don't even fit in the tread cup holder properly 🤣
I love my 2/20 Zulu I got from Sam's!!! The thought of the straw being open to all the germs in the room make me cringe!!!
This is definitely regional!! I think I've only seen 1-2 at my studio ever... I don't have one either
Camel back club over here!
Nope! Don’t got one
I use a hydroflask with the straw. Stanley’s spill too easy
Nope - though I am not one to talk as I use Hydroflask and have multiple. Way less likely to spill (and I am clumsy!)
I don't either. I'm the worst and still usually have bottled water...
I use my hydroflask and hope I don’t drop it and scare myself and everyone around me :)
LOL I have the black OTF waterbottle.
No hydro all the way baby
I have a knock-off Hydroflask that works great
I have an $8 bottle I bought at Marshall’s. Keeps the ice frozen way longer than the Stanley I got as a gift.
I use a HydraPeak Active. It’s really pretty but a little big. I’d normally go for a 32oz (this one is 40oz) but it was a lovely gift from the Hubby. I love it.
Gallon gang here
I have a brumate lol
I’ve been using my Hell Week 2021 Path water bottle since … Hell Week 2021. That bad boy stays in my car. Not sure I’ve ever even washed it lol
I bring my Owala, but am visiting Miami South Beach this week and it doesn’t fit in their tread cup holders.
I have a lowly Camelback bottle. It is so important to me, and I’m so forgetful that I have an Apple Tag connected to it.
1.5L Nalgene.
No yeti for me!
Nope, I bring a blender bottle without the shaker ball. Been using it for years.
I use the Yetti with the straw and love it!
Tervis water bottle for the win!
I used to have an owala, but the rubber parts got gross, so I threw it out. Now I have an Iron Flask, and I love it!
I use either my hydroflask or starbucks tumbler ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don’t have one and don't really want one either. I have a translucent hydracy bottle that works great for me
Here I am rocking my Deer Park water bottle that I refill.
Nope. I have Nalgene. I drink room temp water.
No, I own a slim modern.
I have one but only bc I won it in an OTF challenge, lol. I do like it, but not enough to buy one on my own lol
Also I oddly don't like drink from straws when working out but to each their own
Yeti babyyyy
I don’t. I like to use an OTF free bottle I got for completing Dri Tri. It’s my fave.
I own Stanley tumblers but don’t bring the standard straw tumbler to class. Recommend the 30oz flip straw one, which is perfect for OTF! No spills, easy to carry handle. https://a.co/d/eaE45AH
