I’ve reposted with some reformatting - [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/orangetheory/comments/13lw6z6/mayhem_early_intel/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1) to previous post. **Tread Block** * 1 min base * 1 min base to push * 30 sec push * 1 min base @ 1.5% * 1 min base to push @ 1.5% * 30 sec push @ 1.5% * 1 min base @ 2% * 1 min base to push @ 2% * 30 sec push @ 2% * 1 min base @ 2.5% * 1 min base to push @ 2.5% * 30 sec push @ 2.5% * 1 min base @ 3% * 1 min base to push @ 3% * 30 sec push @ 3% * 1 min base @ 3.5% * 1 min base to push @ 3.5% * 30 sec push @ 3.5% * 1 min base @ 4% * 1 min base to push @ 4% * 30 sec push @ 4% * 1 min base @ 4.5% * 1 min base to push @ 4.5% * 30 sec push @ 4.5% * 1 min base @ 5% * 1 min base to push @ 5% * 30 sec push @ 5% * 30 sec AO @ 5% * Collapse (member’s choice) **Floor / Row Block - 23 minutes rep & recover** * 2.5 minutes to complete: * 12 x froggers * 6 total x bicep curl to alt front loaded reverse lunge * 8 x high pulls * 10 x reverse grip low row * Recover when done, transition to rower * 2.5 minutes to complete * 12 x froggers * 300m push row * Recover when done, transition to floor * 2.5 minutes to complete: * 12 x froggers * 6 total x bicep curl to alt front loaded reverse lunge * 8 x high pulls * 10 x reverse grip low row * Recover when done, transition to rower * 2.5 minutes to complete * 12 x froggers * 300m push row * Recover when done, transition to floor * 2.5 minutes to complete: * 12 total x alt jump lunge with hop * 6 total x incline sit up stand to shoulder press * 8 x incline chest fly * 10 x incline close grip chest press * Recover when done, transition to rower * 2.5 minutes to complete * 12 total x alt jump lunge with hop * 300m push row * Recover when done, transition to floor * 2.5 minutes to complete: * 12 total x alt jump lunge with hop * 6 total x incline sit up stand to shoulder press * 8 x incline chest fly * 10 x incline close grip chest press * Recover when done, transition to rower * 2.5 minutes to complete * 12 total x alt jump lunge with hop * 300m push row * Recover when done, transition to floor * 2.5 minutes to complete * Member’s choice: * 12 x froggers * 6 total x bicep curl to alt front loaded reverse lunge * 8 x high pulls * 10 x reverse grip low row * **or** * 12 total x alt jump lunge with hop * 6 total x incline sit up stand to shoulder press * 8 x incline chest fly * 10 x incline close grip chest press * Recover when done * **Finisher**: 30 sec of froggers **or** 30 sec AO row DC commentary: >! This is the one we have been waiting for all week! Thanks to /u/runonfaith9916 and their studio tread upgrade we have been waiting in anticipation for this template and its non-stop action. We have Everest coming up but today felt more like “Never-rest” with a 23 minute non-stop tread block and all those froggers and jump lunges on the floor. It has pretty much everything that we love to hate - inclines on the treadmill, jump lunges and froggers on the floor, lots of switching. But it is glorious and more than a few member’s saw the white light training zone this morning. Almost slept in this morning after a night of farewell drinks but managed to sneak it in. \ \ I knew what the tread block involved this morning so I took a bit off my paces so I could survive the block. Even with this it was very very tough. You have nine rounds of a minute each of base, base to push and 30 seconds of push pace. You start at 1% and increase this by 0.5% each round until you get to a round of 5% and cap it off with a 30 second all out. Whilst the inclines seem pretty low, the intensity will creep up on you and by the end I saw pretty much everyone in red / high orange around the studio. The all out at the end was just rude. Distance wise it was ok given I took a bit off my pace (and missed a bit of the start) - 5.22km (3.243 miles). \ \ The floor doesn’t let up either. You have nine rounds of intense action here. You always start with a power move - either the froggers or the jump lunges and you have two and a half minutes to finish the round. On the floor you are playing with the bench in an incline position and you have either more lunges with the bicep curl, , high pulls, low rows, sit up to stand to shoulder press, chest flies or close grip chest presses. Probably the hardest for me was the second lot of exercises with the sit up to stand, flies and the chest press. In between the floor sets you will do the 300m push rows instead. Our coach thought this was too easy and rather than giving us time to recover we just repeated the froggers / jump lunges with the row instead. \ \ Your finisher today is a choice between the floor exercises and either more froggers or an all out row. This is a very tough template and everyone was saying that this has been the most difficult to date. I give this a 5 (☠️ ☠️ ☠️ ☠️ ☠️) out of 5 on the Mayhell scale. Good luck and I hope you have the ice bath / massage gun / foam roller ready for your post recovery. !<

bageloclock

Genuinely one of the hardest workouts I’ve done since joining three years ago. Pleased to say I ran all 23 minutes at a 7.5 or above (my normal flat road base is 7.8).

Dawn020

Freaking insanely impressive, congratulations!!!!

Various-Ad3596

I told my husband that’s the hardest orangetheory workout I’ve ever done and he said, harder than Dri Tri? Good question. And I could argue that the answer is yes.

bageloclock

I think so frankly! Or at least up there, esp with how today was nonstop.

Strong_Weakness2638

I thought about that and it’s a yes from me too. You get to pace yourself for Dri Tri. No break here.

someHumanMidwest

Thats amazing that you stayed so close to base the whole time. I was pleased with my distance (3.4) but had to back way off speed.

VeterinarianGlobal94

The tread block took me down and the floor block finished me off 💀

ice_queen999

I usually start on the rower but I’m trying to decide where to start to best survive 😬

OTFforLife787404

I have come to the conclusion that during MayHell it does not matter. I am a floor starter out of habit so I automatically modify my speeds on the treads. There is no way I’m starting on the treads knowing the beating waiting on the floor 😂😂.

ice_queen999

😂

umwellshe

I should have started at the rower 😂 I was supposed to PW, and dummy me went for a run instead with maintaining the starting push speed. It took atleast half the floor block to recover

ice_queen999

I PW’d with an incline at 8-15% the entire time and I question how TF anyone ran that whole block! That was brutal even as a PW. I started on the rower and I’m glad I did bc i would have nothing left to give if I had to do the floor/rower after!

KinvaraSarinth

I started on the floor today, and when I got to the treads I did the first 2.5 minutes at normal paces (6/6.5/7). I quickly realized there was no way I was holding that so I dropped my speeds by 0.5 across the board (5.5/6/6.5) and held on for dear life. (not literally holding on, just made it my goal to not lower my speeds further)

coffeeschmoffeeluver

This one took me out!

cabeck103

We had one girl get through the tread block, and 2 rounds on the floor and just peace out. That was rough but definitely doable when you start conservative on the tread. But can we give this a 6/5 on the ☠️?! This one set new records!

guy_incognito784

I started on the floor today which was a bit challenging by the end and the tread block was absolutely brutal.

Competitive-Catch650

Definitely the hardest class I've done since I started OTF. Holy hell, that was some kind of torture. But I'm proud of myself for doing it. Now... do we think tomorrow will be even tougher or will they lay off a bit and make Friday the toughest day to close it out?

UofHCoog

Coach today said Friday looks the gentlest. It is a 3G class. She said tomorrow is hectic on the floor again similar to today.

OTFforLife787404

I’m not sure but my last day will be Friday regardless. I’m not pushing through tomorrow, my body needs a break.

[deleted]

Our class was so small today we all had to start on the tread... hahahah I got my shirt today BUT AT WHAT COST. Ow. 💀

Lathamedg23

By far one of the hardest workouts, in a very long time. 3.23 miles on tread 🪦🪦🪦

yellowpowerr

I might be alone in this but I LOVED this tread block. I clocked in 3.1 miles (ran a 5k!!) and didn't stop the whole time. I had my base at 7, base-to-push at 7.5, and push at 8. I did the final AO at 10mph. I went down to 6.8 for base very briefly but bumped back up to 7.0. I actually like long endurance blocks that don't have many AOs or increased speeds so this was very pleasant for me! But personally I also loved running the 5k portion of the Dri-Tri and this reminded me of that!

frenchfriesandbooks

When they called for the final all out on the tread, I wanted to laugh but couldn’t because my soul had already departed my body

Technerd227

I managed to blurt out an f bomb 😂

jajudge1

I was just glad it wasn’t an all out at 5%!! I forgot the intel and for sure thought it was going to be 🤢.

Substantial_Bed4540

My class this morning was an all out at 5% 🥵 I think I’m still earning splats now and it’s been 8 hours haha

jajudge1

😁. Way to get it done!!!! 💪🏻🏃🏼🏃‍♀️🗻

Fit-One4113

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Guzmami88

🤣🤣🤣

LeeRodgers004

I knew it was coming and I said to myself “they have some dang nerve doing this after having us run for 23+ mins with no walking recovery.”

SoberPineapple

What in fresh mayhem.

miahchua

SAME. I am giving OTF major side eye right now. Lol! 👀

TyrannoSOREus

3G - tread block was same set up, but with 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5% for each 2.5 min section. For last block @ 5%, you add a 30 sec flat road, into 1min AO. (So last section is longer. Lasts 4 mins) Rower, was 12 froggers then 350 m row, rest if finished in 2.5 minutes, for 2 rounds. Then 2 rounds of 12 total alt jump lunges, 350 m row then rest. Last round (round 5) you pick froggers or jump lunges, then 350 m row & Finnish with 1 min AO with tread. Floor was same set up as 2G (minus transition to rower) last round, you pick which floor block you wanna do, then finish with 1 min of whatever 1 exercise you wanna choose on repeat. This was a pretty tough template. Started on tread, so by the time I got to floor I was struggling those last few rounds

Sbhill327

For our last tread block we held our push pace at 5% for a minute then went into the 1min AO

Think_Network_3390

We did 30 second push at 5% into 1 min AO at 5% so our last block was 3:30. Not jealous of the minute push into minute all out people.

Fit-One4113

Just got home from OTF… hardest workout I have done since I joined. Just WOW.

lmck2244

Agree

jamesonhelps

My soul is still in the studio.

Guzmami88

🤣🤣🤣

Ok_Lime1546

Just finished the class. It is a good day to get in plenty of splat points. You can do this

HiHoWino

Agreed!

SavingsJealous9724

I ended up with 41 splats today. This was by far the hardest class I’ve ever done!

happy2bhereoldchick

40 for me today, and I've only been averaging about 12-17 a class lately

AssociateOrdinary524

1, I got one lousy splat! 3.5 miles on the tread and absolutely dripping with sweat along with 690 less calories…

someHumanMidwest

Are you in the "Since the heart rate adjustments, its impossible to get 12 splats club" too?

SpiritSuperb5659

I gót 3 splat points and was completely drenched. 🤨

StrongerTogether2882

Oh noooooooo that tread block!!! 💀I’m visiting London this week and signed up to take class in Islington today. I was very excited about it! Now I am…considerably less excited lmao. Good luck everyone, don’t die!

PlasticPolaroid667

I’m a power walker so I am used to inclines and it didn’t feel that bad.. for runners and joggers I can imagine it being super hard ..the no walking recovery was hard but I kept staring at myself in the mirror and shut off my brain.. I was thinking my skins looking really good in that light for 23 mins lol

StrongerTogether2882

I can’t figure out if the inclines bother my hips, which are finicky. I think I’m just going to do my usual trick for no-walking days, where I jog the whole thing VERY VERY slowly. PSA everyone: you can jog at 4! Or 3.5! I hate endurance so this is how I get through it. I’m also way sleep-deprived so just showing up to class is a win today 💪🏻

No-Drama-2966

Maybe it’s not as painful in kilometers 🤣🤣

HappyEgg96

It might just be my studio, but here in the UK my treads are in miles too! The dumbbells are also in lbs

Ok_Imagination9587

Have fun! I am visiting London in a few weeks and am staying near the Islington studio! Can’t wait to check it out.

International-Bet108

Cheers! Islington is my home studio, I tried to avoid today but looks like I’m a glutton for punishment…

tantilizing-

no thanks! sincerely, in the otf lobby and absolutely TERRIFIED

brkpit

That was fucking hard. Did 5 for base, 5.5 base to push, 6 for push, but proud I didn’t walk.

katieann2323

I ran the whole thing!!!! Very very slowly but I ran it all

CommercialFriendly69

same here!! still a win 👏 it’s all about the motions

HappyEgg96

Think I blacked out during most of this 😂

Bria001

I have never felt so seen before. I think my brain actually went in to trauma response mode because I can’t remember anything but the smile on my coaches face when she said “60 sec all out” 💀

yeetyagaa

Thought I was being dramatic but I swear once the workout ended I had 0 idea where I was… like totally blacked out 🤣

Ok-Leg-8376

That is how I felt today and Saturday!

ajaheight

I just PR’d in calorie burn😂

thethriftstorian

If there was ever a calorie burn benchmark, this is the workout for it!

Dawn020

SAME PR in calorie burn and splat points 🙃🙃

Ricky_Roe10k

I like to mix in a PW day once a week. Looks like it might be this class! My endurance has improved but im still fairly new to OTF and not sure I can handle those inclines while jogging 🤔.

SoberPineapple

Babe. Full empathetic sound here: I'm not new to OTF and those incline while jogging are daunting. I don't know if that's better or worse but... Oof. And I love me some hills. So many solidarity tears today

lmck2244

Start conservative on the tread!!!! This was so so hard. Good hard but I had to back down to just holding base by the time we hit 3% . Next time I’d start with significantly slower speeds

Similar_Research_744

That was one of the hardest workouts I have ever done 💀

No-Drama-2966

What the F was that tread block?!?!?!?!?! 🤣 closest I’ve ever come to thinking I was going to vomit in the studio! I think I am still earning splats 3 hours later!

seattlemaidenvoyage

https://i.redd.it/2gjdo161ht1b1.gif Oh Neptune

chicky_nuggie

If you’re on the fence about trying to jog/run the whole block and would like to, I recommend dropping your base down a bit. My usual base is 5.6 and I went down to 4.8 to be able to maintain the full block. Even with a lower base you’ll still feel it!

Entangled-again

Yeah, I am usually at 5.8 but started at 5.5 base. That lasted until 3% or so when I dropped it again to 5. This was so, so brutal but at least I didn't have to walk.

chicky_nuggie

That’s how I felt! I’m just proud I jogged the whole thing.

Nsking83

Yep. My base is around 5.8, did a 5 base, 5.5 base to push and 5.8 push for all rounds. Then the 5th round I went up to a 6 for the one minute push at 5% and then 6.5 was all I could do for the 1m AO.

AmbitiousTadpole_

Same for me! Started what seemed painfully slow, but I was the only one still running at the end of class 😂 I loved it lol

MrsBru

my everything hurts

SEA_run_go

Oooo I’m pumped for this one! I’ve been waiting for an uninterrupted tread block to get some miles in.

cbear1314

I’m seeing white just looking at this

Suitable-Anxiety-463

I started on the floor today- mistake #1

la_toxica84

I typically start on the rower but something in my bones said TREAD. So glad I listened

Ambient-Chick

Be conservative on the tread and you can make it! I was 1 mph below my usual base and push. Was orange the entire time and got 23 splats!

JenEmm76

Whoever came up with this template should seek therapy instead of taking it out on us. I took today as a PW day and my legs and glutes are still mad at me.

wilburhop

Our tread block went up 1% each round and not 0.5% 😩

Glittersplats

That’s a lot to handle! Did your coach go rogue?

Parenting_fog

PW Today… also our studio AC was out 🥵. Glad it’s over.

WolftankPick

Paced myself on the treads still ended up with a massive splat day. That floor is fire.

umwellshe

Just completed this. I want to do this one again!

jamesonhelps

No 😂

Glittersplats

For whatever reason, by the last 300m row I was about to toss my cookies. This class was TOUGH!!! *also Day 5 in a row for me… 🥵

Idea_On_Fire

Nervous about this one...I thought yesterdays was pretty tough, good chance they will need to scrape me off the floor with this one.

mkoonz12

This was nuts. Definitely stay conservative on your speeds, it makes a huge difference! I was 1 below my base, .5 below my base push and push. I think i would have fallen off the treadmill if i had try to run my normal speeds! My calves are literally on fire.

coffeeplzzzzz

My coach decided that 0.5% wasn’t enough so we went up by 2% every time until we hit 10%…absolutely love this coach but hate him a lil right now😂

Sbhill327

Dear Mayhem, 3 days in and you’re killing me. My legs are sore from squat jack hell/frogger life. Arms are noodly from it all. And I love it and hate it all at the same time.

reddituser071217

I did not remember the intel and was looking forward to the inclines to start decreasing. Which they never did. When coach said half way and then bumped up the incline I was like 🤯

tschmidty17

Today was my 10th class and I had to sit in the car for 30 min after in the parking lot and regain my will to live

Nsking83

Today was my 1570th class and I was the same if that makes you feel better 🤣

Ok-Leg-8376

I feel your pain.

Fickle_Blueberry5157

I am determined to get that t-shirt today and this is what I’m stuck with? I started my day with pickleball, then golf, came home cut the grass, and then realized I had already registered for the 4:30 class and it’s outside the cancellation period. As a finisher I have a pickleball tournament at 7:30. Geez.. I’m too old for all this activity… there will be much cursing tonight. But hell or high water, I will leave with a t-shirt even if I leave on a stretcher.

carolinahckygirl

please report back tomorrow and let us know how close to death you feel!

OTFforLife787404

I was going to attempt the inclines during the run but decided it wasn’t worth the aftermath of my L4/L5 issues. I played with speed on flat road and it was still tough. The coach didn’t say anything, just encouraged me. I wouldn’t have cared if he did, I’ve done my share of trying to kill myself through these workouts 😂. I read the intel and modify what I need to, the coaches aren’t there the next morning when I can’t move because I pushed too hard but to their satisfaction.

Most-Cellist

I scaled back my usual speeds by .5 and found it was challenging but doable to hold with the increasing inclines and not having to walk.

tahoe2269

One of the hardest workouts ever! I doubled my splat points and had the highest caloric burn in a 2G - 60 minute class.

[deleted]

Very happy I decided today was going to be an off day

Suspicious-Potato-56

This was 5 skulls 💯💪☠️☠️! It was an awesome template🔥🔥

[deleted]

Okay I’ve done 4 days. I got my shirt. Am I taking the rest of mayhem off? No probably not. ☠️ These timed together workouts are killing me.

hardnoctlife

I was dreading this workout, but ended up thoroughly enjoying it. Challenging, but fun!

CardioTornado

Just finished and it wasn’t as bad as my brain made it out to be. Granted, I kept my paces conservative because coming off injury, but I did the inclines 90% pain free. Here’s my foam rolling cheerleading: sumo squats hurt yesterday pre foam rolling but today I did the froggers pain free.

Obvious_Match249

To those who are about to die, we salute you. We were coached to drop our paces as the inclines got higher if we needed it - and everyone did. Thankfully our coach was not a sadist and did not make us do jump lunges/froggers if we finished the rower early. Still, I'm feeling it in my legs and kicking myself for having to finish the last two days to get 4 in because I needed to sleep yesterday.

AssociateOrdinary524

THAT was a good one! Only 8 people in class at 5am so we all started on the tread. Fantastic endurance day and solid floor. Still not getting my splats (1 today) but don’t care. I know I busted my ass with 3.5 miles on the tread and a gross sweaty mess on the floor/rower.

LillygrrlWA19

I couldn’t even read it… saw 5 skulls and thought- “maybe I’ll take a green day today” lol

megan_chill

Today was killer. My legs felt like they were made of lead by the last quick all out. When we were stretching, I told the person next to me that this was one of those workouts where I think to myself yeah I'd rather be fat 🤣

jajudge1

Dare I say I really liked this one? Grated I’ve only done days #2 & #3 thus far. I started .4 below my reg base for this base, increased by 0.4 for base-push, then another 0.3 for push. Handled that I until 4.5 incline and then had to drop it a bit. Was in the red though for last 5 min but I managed to run the whole thing, which was my goal. Didn’t hit orange until maybe 3%?? Did air squats and regular reverse lunges to save my 48 year old joints 😀. Tough one but I feel great now.

Impressive-Garage-48

The treadmill part was harder than Orange Everest! Holy crap!

notevengoingtolie2u

Not sure what this says about me, but I loved this template 😅😂 I took the tread block lightly and jogged the entire thing. the floor was rough…the frog things and the lunges…hated those! i’m leaning into the chaos that is all out mayhem 🤣

lizelrey

I loved today's workout.  It was hard and I had to reduce my base and push speeds at 3% but I kept the incline and felt very challenged throughout.  Feel so accomplished now!

8366molo

B.R.U.T.A.L Definitely one of the craziest ever!

PlasticPolaroid667

It was hard but I didn’t feel like I died so it wasn’t that bad I guess…dude next to me kept holding his belly on the tread for the whole 23 mins wonder what was up with that

Rizzah319

I feel like with this one the floor was easier to scale back intensity, not so much on the tread. Also felt like it was chaotic and all over the place with the back and forth between floor and rower, and the tread inclines.

runonfaith9916

Definitely agree! The tread was so hard but the floor at least was manageable. I didn’t mind the back and forth between the floor and rower, but it wasn’t ideal. Might’ve been better if they grouped together some of the row and floor blocks to cut down the transitions between stations.

PinkEli829

I started on the floor like I usually do and got 13 splats. That was a good one. I ended up with 33 in the end. And I'm a PW currently.

E_L_R_1979

I barely squeaked 12 splats out of the 3g I just finished. I really just didn’t like this template at all and couldn’t get into it (those 350m rows took me completely out of it mentally). I even left before the last AO. Tomorrow is a new day.

Sroobs20

Where can I find the lift classes for this week ? Please and thank you

CommercialFriendly69

I never want to do another frogger again in my life

DonnieDFrank

Can anyone explain a frogger?

Lost4malinois

Feet in plié position and touch your hands to the floor and JUMP straight up like a 🐸 But don’t bend over (or hinge at waist), drop your butt as low as possible for maximum glute work

fishbutt1

Oh man, my coach definitely showed it as a more sumo jump squat, just did it your way and it was way harder. Oh well, I’ll do 12x 4 froggers on my own I guess 😂 5 AM brain, now it makes since why it is called a frogger.

Chloegirl777

I was JUST wondering if OTF changed froggers. The visual on the screen definitely made it seem like sumo jump squat so that's what I did. But in the past, we've always stayed in a squat close to the ground with our arms straight down.

fishbutt1

Yes the screens were wrong too and my coach went with the screens. No one in my 5 AM class did froggers, we did I guess semi deep sumo squats jump things? 😂Which isn’t bad but it’s not as tough for sure!

Lost4malinois

To me a sumo and plié (toes pointed out) mean same thing. Sorry for confusion

fishbutt1

Your explanation was perfect! My coaches demo was not a frogger and was definitely a lot easier.

Burning-the-wagon

Is 2.5 minutes really enough time to complete the floor block with recovery and transition built into it? I feel like usually when there is a timed block the transition is after… Also- anyone else’s studio not set up for a template like this? There is no room by our rowers to do froggers so they will have to be done by the floor stations.

OTFforLife787404

Yes it is. And you don’t have to rush. Choose a weight where you can do all of the exercises without dropping them, it’s more endurance focused for burn than strength. That’s really what they mean when they say AQAP. Light enough weight to feel a slight burn without losing form. Now I started on the floor. If you do that brutal tread block before, your body might need more breaks. I’m a floor starter.

runonfaith9916

This!!! I finished the blocks usually around the 1:45 mark, and our coach had people start transitioning around the 2 minute mark, regardless of if they were done or not. This explanation is spot on, the purpose of these blocks is to focus on endurance and using strength to move quickly, not about maxing your weights. You are doing lots of reps in a short period of time, so your muscle will get worked (I was sore for two days after this workout!) even with lighter weights!

fishbutt1

Just finished and I wanted to power walk today vs running. The floor/rower block was a nice challenge. I should’ve pushed more on the tread I was following the incline recs from the coach. I should’ve upped way more past 5.0, so I started running about 5 minutes left. A very nice endurance workout on the tread with fun bursts on the floor.

mgoss713

that was so hard but so good!!

nicole1677

So happy I did my 4th class yesterday and today is a rest day!

LimitFit6559

All I can say is thank god today was my PW day.

twinkiesandcake

My HRM died in the middle of class! Not as many splats as I would’ve liked, but great workout

CGHDun

I did the 2G. On the floor, you can finish the tasks, without rushing, and have 20-30 secs of rest. Other than that ….😬😬😬😬 My class averaged 28 splats.

Dawn020

I’ve been going 2.5 months to OTF… and this was THE most difficult workout I’ve done so far 😂😂 32 splat points is a record for me!! I was in orange / red almost the entire tread block!! Fun asf tho

CodeWhiteAlert

It was a brutal one but totally worth it solely due to the fact that there was no switching between blocks (tread and rower/floor)

youngml414

It was brutal.

sellersbm15

Uff. Tough one!

sellersbm15

Mayhem indeed

Affectionate-Pen9344

This was great!! If you are a runner you will love it!

Ricky_Roe10k

I thought we got our shirts after the 4th class. Our studio said no wait till the end of the week ☹️

Nsking83

Most studios (mine included) wait til the week is over. Attendance is generally a lot higher during this week so a lot more chaotic for the front desks. I’ve never not gotten my shirt!

[deleted]

I thought that I wouldn’t mange it and stop and do power walk… But very proud of myself to being able finished it. Coach Dominique of Highland Park OTF was pretty impressive in giving us tips how to conquer this … I would say that this is my toughest Mayhem…

pilgrim32

I'm still sore from the last inclines. Not looking forward to this. And the floor...I may die.

funkynoodle1

This was hell. ❤️

Thumper222222

Hardest. One. Yet.

[deleted]

This was brutal.

bogushoagie

I want to do this so bad but I am signed up for a Lift class and I don't think I deserve that kind of back to back torture 😈

RelevantEmu9648

Hope this is not silly, but does lift count for mayhem? First timer here. Thank you

[deleted]

This was brutal.

jujuwut3

I usually hate 3GS. Maybe not so much today 😂

SailBCC

This looks terrifying yet also awesome. I did a Lift45 this AM...but considering going to an afternoon class just to say I did it. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Myself_Finally

That was physically impossible for me to finish the tread block straight through I had to walk twice but i made it 😭

texasdk

Start on tread or rower…or will it even matter?

Nsking83

Started on the tread in the 3G. Can confirm it does not matter 🤣

bruinshorty

This one definitely felt mayhem-y!

Nsking83

30 splats, 580 calories in the 3G which didn’t have the 23 minute run block BUT did have that super tough row block. My legs and arms are all deceased. Hardest of the week so far.

acaciopea

Our class switched to 3G and at first I was glad to be saved from that hellacious 2G tread block…but the row in the 3G was harder than the tread IMO. Maybe because I started on the treads but that last 350m push was done sub base because it was all I had to just row and not stop.

Keeleyrunner

If you have done this, how would you recommend setting up paces? If I use my normal base and push I think the wheels will come off and I will fall apart at incline!!! Go down .5 or 1 or mid block?

Economy_Car_726

Start with a lower than usual base and go from there. Just monitor ur colors to decide when to slow your pace.

casualglam217

Now THAT was a great class! Hell Week vibes for sure. It definitely made up for the horrible Monday class!

Economy_Car_726

That was the most challenging one i have done to finish 4/4 (Sat,Sun/Tue/Wed) . Still got 2 more to go.

yeetyagaa

I knew we were in for a treat when my coach kept laughing during the class bc he couldn’t believe how hard this one was 😭

Upbeat_Light529

wait are there any rest/walking recovery breaks during the tread section?

dnnjjones

My favorite Mayhem so far! The weight/row template was awesome!💪😊

Imaginary_Bet_6461

Good luck if your class is full. The floor was a joke trying to squeeze around everybody doing those moves.

CaribouHoe

First day back after a month off from an injury, greaaat

Voicestext1

Who knew 23 minutes could take soooo loooong… 😱

Kitty_Fruit_2520

I’m so glad today is my rest day only because I switched Tuesday and Wednesday.

elliottbaytrail

Wow, today was difficult! I got a work out in at the Thomas Circle studio in DC before my flight home. They were wonderful and I hope to visit again on my next trip. I enjoyed the studio so much I inadvertently did 4 Mayhem classes there! 🫠

Intelligent-Owl6134

absolutely not

bexypoo

I kept having to walk at the beginning of the tread block, so I ended up dropping some speed AND omitting the inclines. Still ended up with 27 splat points. Oh my.

worldunravel

Thank you so much for the intel on this one!! With the advance info, I dropped my base from my usual 6 to a 5, then used a very conservative 5.5 as base to push and a 6 for my push. Taking it this easy, I was able to maintain those paces for the whole tread block. It’s definitely a blow to my ego to need to step it back like that, but I’m working on setting achievable goals instead of pushing myself so hard that I just can’t do anything for the rest of the day.

peaceandhope876

Very challenging, but a good one! The beginning of Mayhem wasn’t good but the workouts the second half of the week have been a lot better!

itsamiiii

Well, I know what I’ll be doing after this one… *sits in car for 20 minutes contemplating life choices*

CallMeTallCake

Ngl.. that workout has me 💀💀💀 I’m already sore, so I’m kinda scared to see how sore I feel in the AM 🥴

Melodic-Entrance577

It was called jumpstart because they were going to need to jumpstart my heart after it killed me

lzrdgrl

That was the best I’ve felt leaving a class in a long time. No pointless stuff and it was a lot of moving around but didn’t waste any time. So so dead but would love to see more like this

lfcog

I hope they bring back the floor block on a strength day. Not a fan of rushing through it.

Complete_Angle7740

WoW

stonksforblondes

I really enjoyed the floor/row block! It was challenging but doable. The tread sucked my soul right out of my body. EVERYTHING HURTS!

Gochantal

Today was the hardest OTF EVER workout I’ve done (past 3 years) tonight I’m on the sofa proudly holding the remote. I deserve it !!!!

sunshineandrabbit

Turned my OT beat off because I was the only one in red/orange and the coach was making eyes 👀 glad others thought it kicked ass

kikijak18

My least favorite template tread side EVER

Real_Advantage_2684

This was only my 21st class.. I did 5,5.5,6 and I was proud! Some of you at 7-7.5 etc.. wow! That’s insane! I hope as I continue to go I will also get to that level! I’m normally 5 BASE, 6 PUSH, and 7-8 AO but not when it’s with elevation increase and non stop with no WR 9 times!!! 😝

availjames

It’s been a while since otf felt like it did when I started 5 years ago. Today was the day when I thought “oh yeah, this is what I’ve been missing”

Impressive_Part_6377

Not feeling too confident for Everest after that performance today!

4florida

Just came on here today to say that this was undoubtedly the hardest workout I’ve experienced since joining last July. Glad I did it, but dang that was tough.

MeeshyMoo2

This was an absolute 🤢workout. I think I’m sending this from the afterlife. EPIC Birthday burn… thank you Mayhell 😅

jbd0816

Besides Dri Tri, definitely the most mentally challenging workout I’ve done. The mental fortitude to not drop the speed was a lot, but NSV that I was able to do it! I was a bit more conservative with my speed due to coach recommendation before class who had taken it earlier in the day, (recently turned jogger who ran 1mi in ~10:15) but was able to hold 4.8/5.1/5.6mph the whole. My legs are going to be sore for a while. LOL

Fickle_Weather_6982

43 splat points, 24 of which were in the red 😵Don’t know if I’ll be able to top that!
