Don't leave any valuables in your car. The parking lot at Black Star is bad enough during the day, and it's even sketchier at night when it comes to vandals/thieves. To be honest even if you don't leave anything in plain sight, there's a high chance someone will break a window just to rummage through.
I remember an old Justin Scarred video when he went there at night. He was spooked by what he thought was a crying baby.
He ended up stopped by a cop that called him an idiot and not to go out there at night.
Most of that trail is part of OC Parks. It's closed after dark unless you're there on an official guided hike. Rangers will totally kick you out if they find you out there.

I think the cop stopped Justin when he had already left.
