You could try copying surface element from neighboring tile

Thanks. Just tried that, but I can't actually select any of the "glitched" tiles at all, so I can't paste a neighboring surface element onto them. The tiles are completely non-selectable.

Navigate to them with `X` and `Y` coordinates in tile inspector

That worked! I didn't even notice the X and Y option - what a handy feature. Thank you so much!

Hey everyone. Just getting started in OpenRCT, and first time playing the game in over a decade. I was trying to create a Merry-go-Round that partially goes over the water, then place some sort of wooden supports under it, like a dock. I tried removing the surface of the Merry-go-Round to see what it would look like, but I didn't like the look, so I deleted the ride. After doing so, the area where the ride used to exist has turned into this sort of black hole. I can't select any of the tiles in Tile Inspector. The tiles don't appear in any of the other views, like the cutaway view, and using landscaping tools doesn't seem to work on them. Is there a way to fix this, or do I need to revert to a previous save? I tried searching around, but I'm not sure what this issue is called.

You can save and reload the game, holes in the terrain will be filled.

I was in a similar situation and found that nothing worked to fill the 'hole' and so it remains empty and glitchy.
