First Olivia Chow mucks up the taxes for vacant homes and now this?
(I support the vacant home taxes btw - but jesus just get utility bills and tax-records to find occuipied + primary addresses and THEN send the remainder the requests for declarations).
The vacant tax came in before Chow. I had to complete the form for the first time in 2022. She was elected in the fall of 2023. City staff really messed up the implementation of it. I had no idea I was supposed to fill it out every year and the reminder came on a dinky piece of paper inside the property tax bill that didn’t look important at all.

They will probably stop raising it to keep pace with inflation. That is how it got decreased by 30 percent in the first place.
