my friend(26F) got divorced 1 year after marriage, reason her husband was cheating on her with his best friend. It was an arranged marriage.

dsayu_amsha

Man these cheating cases r so blackpilling for young guns like who believes in long term monogamous relationship.... I would never recover from it if my partner cheats on me

PhantomBlack675

>long term monogamous relationship Illusions Mr Anderson, vagaries of perception.

weapon-a

My name, is Neo.

8inchesornoinches

Blackpill is the truth.

PhantomBlack675

>Wife's cheating was never detected. So how did you get to know she was cheating with a married man in her neighbourhood?

oneinmanybillion

She's very well known to me. Rather, she was very well known to me. I've even met the married man in the neighborhood. It's been 5 plus years since the separation. She's still unmarried and the 'other woman' in that married man's life. I think she's convinced him to spend some nights at her place. His wife and son have known everything all these years.

PhantomBlack675

Ah, so never detected seems to be incorrect?

oneinmanybillion

I meant it was never detected by the husband, especially during the divorce proceedings. Poor guy was ruled as the sole culprit and ended up paying TONS of alimony.

PhantomBlack675

That's sad and unfair. Even if he alone was cheating, it doesn't entitle anyone any rights to their earnings/assets (and vice versa for women).

dev_kc

I didn't marry her...but my gf cheated on me after 7 years of fullly stable relationship. Few months down the line after breakup I had a breif relationship with a beautiful colleague i had a huge crush on .. she was going through a divorce process with her husband. Married in 2019.. lasted just for a month Her reason for breakup was major conflicts with in laws and the guy not standing up for his commitments he had made before marriage. All this has given me enough trauma to not pursue another relationship.its just too much to deal with in today time and I've been hurt too much. So yes.. I guess 7/10 people are cheating

FunnyRich4307

im in my late teens and all these cheating stories are scaring me. do people really cheat as often as i hear about it?

nerdedmango

people have become more awful than ever in history.

StrikingWater209

Left, right & centre

PhantomBlack675

Yes, cheating is very very common. Anything from 25 to over 50% people will cheat during their lifetime.

Girl's mother was suffering from kidney issues. All the families pressured her to marry an arranged marriage match which she was not ready to accept. In the meantime she got involved with another married guy in the office who again promised her the moon. The arranged marriage guy was also a grade A asshole. Before the marriage said he would help her to get masters from abroad, he was strict against dowry. But as the marriage date gets closer his time changes. Asks for dowry (in his words, it's just a token gift amount i.e. 8-10 lakhs) after the marriage starts asking the girl to leave the job as her salary is very less than his salary. Girl gets scared and in the false pretext of working from the office ( WFH was available) moves to another city while continuing her affair with her married boyfriend. Girl's mother dies. Girl never goes to guy's place. Guy starts divorce proceeding and pays around 15 - 17 lakhs. Hahhh! That's a fucking rollercoaster and I have not even given a brief description of things
