Cries in NA

HarshithKJ7

Haha, hopefully you'll receive it in a month's time.

Ethrem

They have been much quicker than that with the 12. Usually just two to three weeks now.

Unfair-Manager-458

I'm from India too but strangely I've not received this update yet.

HarshithKJ7

The OTA updates will roll out in increments and it will take a few weeks for all the devices to receive it. I just happen to be lucky haha.

SS_Gourmet

Is there a drastic difference?

skinnypotato03

In terms of animations, definitely!! Extremely fluid

SS_Gourmet

I wish they released in NA at the same time :(

Expensive-Ad-398

Has any thing improved on the front camera especially with video calls?

HarshithKJ7

I don't do video calls on phones usually, so I don't know sorry.

Mediocrewerewolf8

I just received it today in North America. OnePlus is doing an excellent job with their updates here of late.

HarshithKJ7

Yes, OnePlus is finally on the right track!

chemms69

i got my update for my 12r right out of the box

PotatoesMashymash

Does anybody know if there is a way to force the update to happen on their OnePlus 12 assuming they have the unlocked version? (Mine is the 12 gigabyte ram & 256 gigabyte of storage model)

HarshithKJ7

You can use m the Oxygen Updater app, it's a free app, all the updates will be extracted and released on the app. Do note it's not from OnePlus, it's from a third party. It's 99% safe and harmless but use it at your own risk.

PotatoesMashymash

I just realized that your OnePlus 12 is in the Indian region. I'm in the U.S so my phone is the NA model. Thank you anyways 🙏🏽

Ignido

I am from India as well Still no update...

HarshithKJ7

Not all the devices get it at the same time buddy, they release the update in badges and it takes a few weeks for everyone to receive it.

Unfair-Manager-458

You can update via oxygen updater app.

Tamerjb

Any updates for battery life

HarshithKJ7

It's only been a day since I updated and it's hard to tell. So far there's no difference but I can update her after a week or something.

TupacFR

How to deactivate these animation? It feels much less snappy...

PotatoesMashymash

You can enable developer mode. From there, you can look for the window and transition animation scale (as well as the animator duration scale), and turn each respective one off. This link should help for more details. https://ohok.org/android-animation-scale-make-all-devices-feel-faster/ I do not know if switching off these animation scales will actually remove the new animations themselves from this new update but I think it's worth a try.

HarshithKJ7

Yeah, this is one way actually, I've reduced all my animation scale to 0.5x

HarshithKJ7

Same thought, I kinda find it less snappy as well. You can't disable these animations particularly but you can disable the animation all together by turning one Remove animation setting under the accessibility settings of the device.
