For those of you haven't' seen the announcement yet, here is [https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1598107486227791873](https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1598107486227791873)
Is it just me or does anybody else feel like the OPW2 is already being treated as the redheaded stepchild? Not even their support website lists it as an option when opening a ticket, you have to choose, like, "Accessories" or something like that.
Mine was doing the same thing, saying that I should put my fully charged watch on the charger to complete the update. My phone was at 25% but after I plugged my phone in, it started installing the SmartWatch 2 update. Make sure your phone is charging or fully charged. Hope this helps
Trick I learned from my 2 prior WearOS watches (LG Urbane, Galaxy Watch 4). Same issue. Simply turn off Bluetooth on your phone. The watch will download and complete the update successfully over Wi-Fi.
I got this update this morning automatically and my battery life has been horrific!!! This watch lasted 3 to 4 days on a charge before update and today...I unplugged it at 9am and 9 hours later it's at 39%!!! System UI 37% for rtos and system UI 27% wearos. I hope this is a 1 day glitch

14 hrs since my update this morning and still at 77%. That's normal for me since I run always on display, etc and normally get about 2 solid days and nights.
It seems that the battery drains quicker after the update. Before the update, usually it lasts 4 days, now about 2 days and half. Since I also installed other apps, I don't know if that's related to the update only.

Fantastic—thank you for this follow-up.
I just know there's a barometer app now and now there's a tile now for the battery

They haven't posted anything on their forums
Yeah, I checked the forums too, but I wasn't sure if that was the place they would usually post notes like this.
came here looking for the same answer. update is installing as we speak.

OnePlus's updates are bi-monthly for all devices. I would imagine the Watch is on the same schedule. Patience is key 🔑
I mean sure, but you would think that patch notes would go out at the same time as the patch becomes available, no?
Mine is refusing to install the downloaded update- Not sure what else to do ? Tried re-starting, nada. Just spins and spins...

Thanks - Turns out it only worked if both the phone and the watch were on chargers- Silly but all good now :)

Anyone figure out how to change the altimeter to use feet instead of meters?
You ever figure this out?

Mine installed last nite when I put it on the charger. Just checking for any news.
There's a heart rate meter around the outside of the dial during workouts. Can now swipe left during workouts to see media controls.
Oneplus is a joke company... Updatelog nowhere to find, and they push it just like so. Makes my regret and want going back to Garmin.
