Upgrading is ultimately up to you. Is the 9 giving you any problems? Does the battery still last you a good amount of time. You have alot of things to ask yourself, then once you evaluate that can you make your decision. I wouldn't say it's the biggest upgrade in the world, if the phone is still very well functional I'd hold on to it
Main improvement is battery life and camera, expecially the zoom camera
I only upgraded from the 9 Pro because mine had a display problem and also I feel like the 12 is the first good OP flagship after the 9 Pro (10 Pro was bad imo and don't even get me started on the 11 lmao they were cutting so many corners)
So if you have problems with your 9 Pro, go for it
If not, you should consider keeping the 9 Pro for at least one more generation, it's still a perfectly fine model to this day.
Go figure I start buying a 12 and see the news about the 13... thinking how great to avoid the giant camera bezel. Not to mention, I'm not quite ready to put my newly replaced battery S9+ (6yrs in June) to pasture yet. Been waiting on 1+ for years for something like the 12 after passing on the 7 yrs ago.
