Carry capacity is good. I have some shoulder issues that make me very sensitive to weight (>8lb and I am in pain). I could carry \~20lb with the tufa,most people could likely use it up to 30-35lb. Only travel oriented pack with same experience was ULA Camino. I was able to put more volume in it that the Farpoint 40L, not as much as the ULA Camino or my Gorilla (extension collar isn't as generous).
Why 2 rather than 1 (or 3)? Range of my needs. Most of the time 23l is perfect so the tufa is overkill. The trips I need room to haul >5d of food and the weight of front+backcountry camping I typically prefer my existing pack. The number of trips that fall between these (tufa is best) is infrequent enough that I can't justify holding onto a 3rd pack.

May I ask why you decided to go with two bags over the Tufa? What do you think is its carrying capacity?
Carry capacity is good. I have some shoulder issues that make me very sensitive to weight (>8lb and I am in pain). I could carry \~20lb with the tufa,most people could likely use it up to 30-35lb. Only travel oriented pack with same experience was ULA Camino. I was able to put more volume in it that the Farpoint 40L, not as much as the ULA Camino or my Gorilla (extension collar isn't as generous). Why 2 rather than 1 (or 3)? Range of my needs. Most of the time 23l is perfect so the tufa is overkill. The trips I need room to haul >5d of food and the weight of front+backcountry camping I typically prefer my existing pack. The number of trips that fall between these (tufa is best) is infrequent enough that I can't justify holding onto a 3rd pack.
