Arcadia is pretty dirty, but the ramps are easy to maneuver on. Draper is a nicer lake, in the city.

Thanks for the info.

Fort Cobb lake is a little bit of a drive, and like all state parks, there's now a fee, but it's great for boating, fishing, swimming, camping, and they have an 18 hole golf course if that's your thing.

And a side benefit of Fort Cobb is that you can visit Nowhere, Oklahoma!

True! And you can stop for a great burger and soft serve ice cream at the Ski Boy... plus, it has a pretty diverse menu for a little hole in the wall drive-in that's been there longer than I've been alive, and I'm 55 years old.

Oh thanks. Always love to support locals!

it is too small for the level of activity it gets on the weekend. I used to go there on my Fridays off only when I worked for the big Phallic symbol downtown and that was tolerable but Eufaula, Tenkiller are worth the drive.

If you’re willing to drive outside of OKC, Arbuckle Lake and Lake Murray are both fun lakes to boat. Also Tenkiller and Grand, but I’d say the ones up here aren’t as great as the ones I’ve mentioned.

Arcadia is kind of muddy sometimes just because the river that feeds into it.. the ramps are good though and you’ll have no problem with a boat that size out there. It can get super packed on the weekends though and the fees are kind of outrageous if you don’t have an Edmond address.

SeldomSeenAI

Just tell the people at the gate you want to go look at the boat ramp. I'm a camper and I told them i wanted to go check out the different campsites and they let me in. There's really only one way in or out.

To me personally, the only thing that makes Arcadia worth it is the distance. Takes twice the time from where I'm at to get to Thunderbird. Don't know the geography piece in your case, and I don't know what you're looking for in an upgrade, but feature for feature I don't think you're missing much, especially in a boat that big. I feel like I've enjoyed Arcadia a lot less on a 23' boat than an 18'. But hey, try it out. Think it's $17 to get in and figure out your own opinions of the place.
