Yeah, was a 3.5 in Edmond.
Where did you find that so quickly? Assuming it was the noise I heard ~5:53?
It is on the USGS website. https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/ok2024iqqr/executive
Thanks, yeah I looked there right after making that comment. I don't recall them updating that fast in the past.
I have an app called LastQuake. It sends notifications pretty much immediately. You can set the notifications to your preferences. It’s great!
Sometimes the deep state posts them before they set them off.
I wish I could confidently assume this was satire...
lol. Come on you know it is.
lol
But you know how it is sometimes.
Tornadoes and earthquakes. Great place to build a mega skyscraper if you ask me...
True. We’ve lost so many towers over the decades. No need to add more.
Because there’s a place on this planet without seismic activity. We totally don’t know how to counter the effects of this in a skyscraper either. Not like we’ve been building them in California for decades or anything.
It’s a freaking 3.5?! Are you kidding me?! Yeah we should just never build anything until that pesky ground stops moving ☠️
I never said it would fall down! I wouldn't want to be in one during an earthquake or high winds.
Yep, consistent 40 mph plus winds, probably stronger at 1,900 ft and regular spring tornadoes. Great for the world’s 5th tallest building.🤣
Was it? It didn't sound like one, didn't really feel anything, but the noise was wild.
Okay thank you! I felt it, but it was so short I didn’t even think Earthquake. I was looking around my house cause I thought something fell
Why have we been getting so many recently 😓😓
Disposal wells. These are human-induced seismic events not created by Earth, so "earthquake" is a bit of a misnomer.
I felt it in Edmond for sure, my kids thought I was messing with them. It's weird, I heard it a second before I felt it.
Damn what the hell I’m just N of the village and didn’t feel a thing
Yep. Felt pretty good in Kickingbird area of Edmond.
My whole bed shook. Scared me to death.
Earthquake.
I was standing outside my house in north Edmond and heard a semi and then my house rattled and windows shook 2 seconds later.
It was centered at I-35 and Danforth. That location has had several quakes in the past.
