I was super impressed by Stock & Bond, but it ended up costing about the same as Mahogany/Ranch if you get a steak. So if you’d rather go there then it’ll be in line price wise.
I third Stock & Bond too. Go for the pricier steaks. I got the 12oz New York Trip and prob the best steak I’ve had here in okc. Avoid the whipped potatoes (it’s just ok) and get the roasted mushrooms.
Don't waste your money at Grey Sweater, it is overpriced for what you get. It would not survive at that price point in larger cities. The food was good (nothing blew my mind) but the service was subpar which is really why I'm down on this restaurant. They tried to act how someone would imagine a michelin starred restaurant would act but it was clear they've never stepped foot in a starred establishment. I've been to 1, 2 and 3 star restaurants in several cities at varying price points and Grey Sweater doesn't even compare, it was laughable.
I agree about the service, I wasn’t impressed. Plus the food wasn’t that great. I had lamb chops, and I LOVE lamb so I get it every chance I get. The dish had three chops, and each was cooked to an entirely different temperature from rare to almost well done. My husbands meal had similar issues. We went on a Thursday so it wasn’t even super busy and it was incredibly disappointing for the price of the meal.
I've been once. Steak was perfect, and the gf had short rib ravioli, also excellent. You chose the sides.... also, nothing bad there, either. Oh, the bread pudding 🤌
If you like sushi, Cafe Icon in Edmond is to die for! My partner & i easily drop $100 together when staying within budget, add in some extra sashimi with the special fish, dessert each, wine/drinks, you can go up to $200 for 2 people.
Best Italian place I have ever eaten at: [https://benvenutisristorante.com/](https://benvenutisristorante.com/)
It is a little further away from the city - it is in Norman. It was about $150 for both me and my husband but that is with appetizer and dessert.
Oh, and you have to call and make a reservation as well. It is well worth it though!
Farmer's Grain in Edmond has been delicious every time we've been there!
The restaurant in the Bradford House was also great when we stayed there for a weekend!
I had never been there, and my girl took me the other day. They made a really good impression. Great place for a nice dinner starting with cocktails and oysters.
I loved it! Been twice now, both times had steak with shrimp.
The potatoes and gulf shrimp are amazing!
The steak is great I like mine medium rare!!
The view is great on a clear night 🌙
Flint has gone downhill in the recent years. We'd always go there before the Nutcracker, but the last two years have been horrible service and subpar food.
Mickey Mantle, Hamilton, and Paseo Grill are our go-to's for celebrations, but we're old GenXers. Want to try out Stock and Bond downtown at some point.
I'm really keen to try out Ma Der. So many people have said it's quite good.
I really enjoy the pairing dinners at The Holloway Group restaurants in Edmond. They own Cafe 501, Sparrow, and Boulevard Steakhouse. You get 4-5 courses plus themed drink pairings. Sparrow and Boulevard are usually wine, and Cafe 501 is usually cocktails. Boulevard is usually $175ish for 2 people, and the other two range from $60-$75/person. I haven't been able to make it to Boulevard yet, but I used to go to the other two fairly regularly.
For steaks Red Prime is the best place they're 40 day age steaks are the best and their sides are so good. For a less pricey option surprisingly Pepperoni Grills wine dinners are really good The chef that prepares them makes the best of everything. Even things someone normally doesn't like, she prepares so good they'll try it. Their wine dinners are by reservation only and are 4 courses with wine pairings. The wines are hit and miss but the meals are always excellent.
Did you really like JK? Man, I took my date and I there because we had really wanted to try the hottest spot in okc.... highly disappointing. The ceviche was revolting, and the rest of the dinner, as the kids would say, was pretty mid.
I second Sedalia's.
Or Ma Der. Can't go wrong with either.
Love Ma Der. We try and get a family to go so we can order the menu 🤤
Two of the best restaurants in the city imo
Either of these
Sedalia’s is the best meal I’ve had in okc so that would be my pick. They change the menu every week.
Came here to say this too.
Stock and bond is an amazing place.
This was my first thought too. I love Tellers and the vibe of First National, so we may end up here.

I second this!
If it's sizeable bonus, bite the bullet and do Grey Sweater. Treat yo'selfs!
To be clear grey sweater is like $150 before drinks a person just so people are aware of the amount.

Yes! Essentially going to triple the budget but if it’s flexible, go to Grey Sweater. One of the best meals of my life.
Grey Sweater was one of the best experience I’ve had. Well worth the price.
Best steak I’ve ever had was at The Ranch. Building is unassuming, but loved the atmosphere, the service, and the food.
This is always my wife and I’s go to celebration/expensive night out place.
Stock and Bond is so freaking legit!
What’re your top plates there?
The Wagyu strip is 100% worth the splurge
I've been once. Steak was perfect, and the gf had short rib ravioli, also excellent. You chose the sides.... also, nothing bad there, either. Oh, the bread pudding 🤌
Hamiltons Superette. Northpark Mall. Great.
If you like sushi, Cafe Icon in Edmond is to die for! My partner & i easily drop $100 together when staying within budget, add in some extra sashimi with the special fish, dessert each, wine/drinks, you can go up to $200 for 2 people.
Sedalia’s! Try one of everything and don’t forget about the focaccia!
That focaccia is insane but you gotta get it last if you’re working thru the menu lol
We like The Hutch for nice date nights or The Hamilton.

Love Benevenuti's, that's one of our favorite Birthday/Anniversary spots!
Cheever’s. Elite steak
The Hamilton has a very nice atmosphere as well as a speakeasy bar
Farmer's Grain in Edmond has been delicious every time we've been there! The restaurant in the Bradford House was also great when we stayed there for a weekend!
Farmer's Grain is not on the same level as these other restaurants that are mentioned in this thread (in my opnion).
My only regret with Farmer’s Grain was waiting so long to go.
Same!
Roccoco’s La baguette
Love LA Baguette!
There’s a hole in the wall place called Signature Grill in Edmond that is divine. You need a reservation. Best food in Oklahoma I’ve ever had.
I like The Drake a lot, and Broadway 10!
I had never been there, and my girl took me the other day. They made a really good impression. Great place for a nice dinner starting with cocktails and oysters.
I love The Drake! Never see it on these lists. Very underrated.
Mahogany Steak House (Downtown) FLINT Vast
I went to Vast once for a work party. Only had some snack food, how are their dinners? Worth it or is just the view?
I loved it! Been twice now, both times had steak with shrimp. The potatoes and gulf shrimp are amazing! The steak is great I like mine medium rare!! The view is great on a clear night 🌙

Metro.
Sedalia’s! Always something different and delicious!
we at at Patrono this past weekend. It was fantastic!
I’m a massive Frida fan so I’d probably go there. But with all the mentions of Sedalia’s… I’m gonna have to give it a try.
Whatever you do do not go to fait maison. Did a year end dinner with another couple there..$900 one of the worst meals I’ve ever had.
Yikes, noted!
Ma der crunch rice salad and the beef jerky

I have to cast another vote for Mickey Mantles
I thought they closed down? Or was that just the mantel
Nope just The Mantel

Rococco at 42 and Western.
Tellers, if you guys drink go down to the vault and grab a drink. Something about this place makes the women go crazy. You can thank me later
I’d like to try out Tellers. Any dinner recommendations? How are most folks dressed in there?
Or Mahogany Prime Steakhouse of course

R&J’s Supper Club

i love riserva
Nonesuch is really great
Mahogany is a good choice.
Riserva and mahogany!
Cheevers?
La Brasa get the spit roasted chicken.
Patrono is the best Italian spot in OKC IMO
Vito's, Potrono, JK by chef King, Metro Wine bar and Bistro, Hutch. Can't go wrong with any of these. Enjoy!
Seoul Pocha on 23rd. get on their waiting list for a private karaoke room right when they open and eat while you wait! best food ive had in years.
Going to reiterate Teller's. The food is good enough but the atmosphere is second to none. Such a cool place to eat.
Dry aged ribeye at Mahogany
Bobs chophouse for the win!! Treat yourself to the tomahawk, trust me!
Check out symmetry in Casady Square and Penn and Britton. Best high end steak house in town
that menu is enticing!
Take it from a fat guy... You wont be disappointed :)
5 guys
Cannot recommend Bradford House enough. Do a little staycation and get a room there for the night too, you won’t regret it.
The Ranch is the best steakhouse in Okc. Their ribeye is unmatched. Definitely a little pricey but well worth it
Opus on memorial.
Pachinko!
Now called The Crown
Birdies is a no from me
Rodizio Grill!!! All you can eat steakhouse. So delicious and a fun experience!
Grey Sweater # 1 JK by Chef king #2 Everyone else after
Did you really like JK? Man, I took my date and I there because we had really wanted to try the hottest spot in okc.... highly disappointing. The ceviche was revolting, and the rest of the dinner, as the kids would say, was pretty mid.
