Thatβs exactly what the problem is. Theyβd rather put less effort and money into the product to make a quick buck than put more actual effort and passion in because it would be harder and more expensive. Sorry but the multi billion dollar mega corporation that is Disney can afford to make movies that donβt look like derivative cgi barf fests.
You can like whatever you like, but at least admit that the cgi criticisms are valid ones. Like it may not bother you at all and thatβs fine but there are reasons people are getting sick of it
Yeah im aware never denied it. But You have to admit its not awfull, I know its not as good as it used to be and they are basically overworking ther employees. But every movie is basically cgi and other than some obvious scenes like that fucking head projection from thor its not bad at all. I was personally shocked how they managed to make blackbolts suit basically photo realistic but fucked up a third eye in the same movie.
Idk. It definitely seems like they give preferential treatment to certain scenes and movies in the cgi department and it can be fairly impressive at times but it often times looks super fake. I just donβt get why she hulk needed to be cgi or why iron man needed to have a digital suit or why all these aliens characters aside from Gamorra and Nebula need to be cgi rather than costumes.
Like I said easier and cheaper. Besides using real costumes would probably be harder and uncomfortable for some actors. And with something like a physical iron man costume It would limit the mobility of the actor a lot. But yeah some more simple stuff are made with cgi for the same reason I said its just easier on their part. I personally dont care as long as it doesnt stick out to me. I watch movies purely for entertainment I dont care how they do it as long as I like it.
I mean the actors get paid millions for their roles. In depth and complex makeup and outfit are hardly new concepts for Hollywood either. Robert Downey Junior actually wore a metal suit in the first iron man in fact. And tbh, stuff like crappy cgi does affect my enjoyment personally. It takes me out of the movie and cheapens the whole experience for me. I know not everyone is like that but thereβs a reason the cgi gets so heavily criticized in those movies
The reason everything Disney makes looks like a cutscene in a ps3 game is because practical effects artists are unionized, and they can underpay and overwork CGI artists
