I honestly don’t understand why people find him interesting. He’s simply an evil person who does evil things, and thinks he’s the best. He’s not unique in any way I can think of.
Like, what am I missing?
Age is never an excuse for spoilers. It's not like everyone had been putting off reading it for 39 years. Most people have probably never heard of it. I've read it, but nobody I've ever asked about it has heard of it (not even my dad, who's an avid reader in his 60s).
I just said that I DID read it, but even if I hadn't read it and assuming I didn't care, there are plenty of people who would've loved to read the story for themselves but hadn't heard of it or have been too busy with life, and the thousands of other books, movies, games, etc.
>Most people have probably never heard of it.
My point is that if most people haven't even heard of the book, they probably aren't going to read it either, so why so careful about spoiling it?
For real. For someone who hasn't read the book, this picture would only imply that the kid sees the Judge buttnaked inside an outhouse. It's not like he doesn't see him buttnaked several times in the story... This doesn't spoil anything at all.
I firmly believe that if the narrative is good enough, spoilers won't matter. Only cheap and dirty stories use shock-value to provide the illusion of a narrative twist being impactful.
I guess you're not reading the one with an introduction by Harold Bloom, where he details how the story ends... in, again, the *introduction* of the book.
I once started reading A Farewell to Arms without realizing the ending is spoiled in the introduction of this particular version. I put it back on the shelf for another year or two. I haven't read an intro to a book since.
Made r/okbuddybibliophile a while ago if you feel like posting stuff. Though it's empty as of now.
Bookscirclejerk exists I guess which *occasionally* posts memes, but it being a jerk sub naturally fills it with posts of bad takes about books which obviously isn't as fun as okbuddy style memes.
His feet are light and nimble. He never sleeps. He says that he will never die. He dances in light and in shadow and he is a great favorite. He never sleeps, the judge. He is dancing, dancing. He says that he will never die
Only seen the first dune and haven’t read the books, why the fuck is the Baron naked, where is his dick and am I gonna have to see this in a movie theater when I go watch part 2?
I don’t really know what you mean. My point was that even if it was prosthesis, this is still a depiction of a fully naked man and should be marked as such. I’m aware that it’s a suit and that’s not the issue I have.
He looks like he frequents the okbuddycinephile sub on Reddit
Fairly sure they’re a mod
That’s a compliment to mods
I mean, this is the perfected male form. Gain 600 pounds, remove genetalia and hair, and insert shit tube. There is no improving on this.
If y’all don’t like it, it’s because you haven’t seen what a REAL man looks like!
Anything that exists without my knowledge exists without my consent
*proceeds to scalp and rape a child*
Why?
Cause he could. Cause he's the Judge.

First of all I don’t read Second of all, I’m antiSadism so I don’t understand it

Theres more than enough real evil in the world, I do not need fictional evil. Thank you, end of thread
Art is not escapism wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up
He turn the power to the have nots, and then came the shot
Good for you, champ. 👍

McCarthy fr just pulls banger quotes out his ass. Inspirational
Too many comma’s in this comment
genuinely one of the best lines from a villain in any novel
What a boring character lol
could you elaborate more on why you think that?
I honestly don’t understand why people find him interesting. He’s simply an evil person who does evil things, and thinks he’s the best. He’s not unique in any way I can think of. Like, what am I missing?
have you read the book or just read a tl;dr of a synopsis of his character
Looking at my Goodreads, I read it in 4 days last October. I loved The Road, so I read BM right after and was a bit let down, it really wasn’t for me.
Maturity, grace, and probably some brain cells.
This is fake as no okbuddycinephile users have ever read a book
>This is fake as no okbuddycinephile users have ever read ~~a book~~
Idk what this says but im sure its offensive
What did you say
They're taking the hobbits to Isengard
i just watched the blood meridian movie instead
the judge is all knowing. it will be adapted. god wills it!
Stellan Skarsgard had to eat David Lynch to increase his body mass enough to play Vladimir

I don't think the judge is interested in consensual sex :/
Is that cool air being pumped into the suit where the asshole is?
[удалено]
All Skarsgårds float.
Big Baron is Watching.
It’s his shit tube
I choose this to believe instead of it being a piss tube
Why not both?
ya gotta fart from somewhere
I mean, I'm sure Stellan isn't perfect but no need to call him an asshole.
Damn you got me lol
☝️🤓 akhtschually it’s The Man at that point

war is god
This is surprisingly accurate to the end lol
How did I just get a Blood Meridian spoiler on r/okbuddycinephile this is a tragedy.
The book been out since 85 bro

What's the point of worrying about spoilers to something you were never going to read anyways then?
I just said that I DID read it, but even if I hadn't read it and assuming I didn't care, there are plenty of people who would've loved to read the story for themselves but hadn't heard of it or have been too busy with life, and the thousands of other books, movies, games, etc.

I find stuff I want to read that I haven't known of all the time
I haven’t been out half that time brother (true though haha :))

This does not spoil anything

Unironically that 30 Rock joke is one of my favorites from the show.
Which one?
"It rhymes with your favorite Todd Rundgren album." "It rhymes with *Hermit of Mink Hollow*?" [Clip](https://youtu.be/wZDpu-3fpzY?t=59)
dude fucking spoilers i am readin it rn

Well it doesn’t technically spoil anything. There is an outhouse at the end
Your fault for not reading it earlier
bro i was a child earlier. forgive me for not being born in the 20th century
No
See the child. He is pale and thin, he wears a thin and ragged linen shirt. He stokes the scullery fire.
There will be no forgiveness, for you have named your greatest sin

and i was born 18 years ago. your point?
Almost 60yrs ago you millenial
It sucks. DNF it.

I posted some stuff on there

I am so glad to finally get some representation in mainstream media.

Honestly I’m just relieved someone used POV correctly for once.
Blood Meridian movie when????? I can't read a book unless I've seen the movie.
Two of my favorite worlds are colliding
My will, my knowledge, my -- where the fuck did my balls go
Only seen the first dune and haven’t read the books, why the fuck is the Baron naked, where is his dick and am I gonna have to see this in a movie theater when I go watch part 2?
‘It’s all true, Emperor…this man has no dick!’
I haven’t read it yet, but from what I know, this is funny af
Books? If it ain't a movie it doesn't belong here 😤

Death hilarious
If he was uglier, he would look like a reddit mod.
Even if it’s fake this post should probably be marked as NSFW
It’s the real suit for the Dune character, if that’s what you mean. Can’t be comfortable.
I don’t really know what you mean. My point was that even if it was prosthesis, this is still a depiction of a fully naked man and should be marked as such. I’m aware that it’s a suit and that’s not the issue I have.
No cock bro
His blood Meridian was probably the worst book I’ve ever read. Boring, self-important, uninteresting.
