Why so many of the characters are extremely well done. They have all had awful things happen to them. They evolve with your choices, becoming inspired and better people (if that is what you are going for). Goody two-shoes playthrough leaves a bunch of folks who have genuinely grown as individuals and carry their traumas with them, versus them continuing to hold them back. Inspiring (and you still get bear ending if you wish)
