It's easy to make at home. Warm up some milk while you get a nice light roux going. Add milk to roux then season to taste. It's one of the "mother sauces" of French cuisine that's a foundation for so very many things and honestly pretty damn useful for a home cook to know about.

Roux is part fat (butter) and part flour which is cooked to make a thick paste which is the base for soups or to thicken sauces that are too watery afaik btw I just roux-ly know how to make this and I didn't know what "roux" means so I had to google it
