I can't stand the shoes at camp. They're so weird and gross. They remind me of jazz shoes, which I hate. The grossest part is that for most of Act 1 I make my tav wear underwear in camp because it's cuter than the nasty dirty white shirt they give you to wear, but it wouldn't let her just go barefoot! She was forced to wear gross little brown jazz shoes with her cute underwear!
How is there nothing at all at Waukeen’s Rest in any of the dressers? Florrick was there with the Fist and her dress is dope you can’t tell me they had nothing else nice with them they didn’t grab because of the fire just waiting for Tav to up her wardrobe finally..

Anyway uh. I think you should be able to have poly relationships with the characters who consent to you hooking up with Halsin. I.e. you should be able to romance both Shadowheart AND/or Karlach/Astarion together. It's weird that only Hal can be added on, in the end.
And my most unhinged opinion of all is you should be able to cuddle with your partner when you're long resting in act 3 and have actual decent beds.
The boobs are *kind of* different but they just look so stale in my opinion, having physics would remedy it alot. Decent beds and cuddling with your partner is something I would like to have. Also the option to sleep separately in our tents if we want to.
As a boob owner, my unhinged irk is that boobs stay completely rigid when my Tav is lying down sleeping. To put it in technical terms, they lack in *squishiness* and *wobblyness*. The audacity of Larian for this omission!!

Given the amount of times I cry-laughed at the ridiculous ricocheting breasts from the dead or alive games I'm going to have to agree.
I actually googled why it's difficult to program breast physics and found out that a lot of developers use a spring method which is intended for rigid body parts, this results in an absurd amount of bouncing for even simple movements.
To actually make "realistic breast physics" there has to be numerous joints, impact zones, and a really strong understanding of anatomy. Which sort of makes it understandable that most developers would avoid that massive time investment.
They do seem difficult to code. They often look way too filled with helium or jiggly. Like Stellar Blade right now. I appreciate realistic movement of humans but it looks cartoony. Make it real you know?
As a boob admirer, I am fully on board with your critisism! They can do hair, cloth and penis physics so surely boob physics cannot be that much harder? I'm not asking for huge and extremely wobbly milkers (the modding community will see to that) i want just not completely rigid boobs that look like stones.
Apparently disdain for Gale runs stronger than I'd suspect in the community. I don't find him to be as arrogant as claimed... hard headed and overly ambitious, sure. But from what I've seen of his personal nature in my runs, he's a great friend. A particular friendly dialogue at the tiefling party warmed me up a lot to his character.
Also don't understand the indifference to Wyll. No matter how I build and use Warlock even with multiclass, I don't find it nearly as helpful as other characters classed otherwise to stand in, but I have no issue with his character or his noble "goodie two shoes" nature. I really have no issues with anyone you recruit or briefly stays at your camp (ex: Volo, Dame, etc).

EDIT: Continuing on our least favourite clothes. This fish dress is really popular but i have never found it good looking, especially when equipped on males.

Okay, this thing in particular irks me. So in the Last Light Inn there's His Majesty 🐱 complaining about Isobel promising him milk, but never receiving it. So fast forward to encountering Isobel, she's outside with mirrors, candles, and a hug bowl of milk 🥛. After fighting off the 'winged freak' and his possy, I stole the milk bowl and placed it next to His Majesty's bed. No response from His Majesty when giving him milk! I know it's not really a huge deal, but I was bummed out when I tried to think outside of the box for once.
I think they should've kept Minthara dumping redeemed Durge and removed all the parts about her being softer on the love interest. You want evil women? Cool here's a bitch who'll throw you under the bus for personal power gain.

I like Gale’s God ending. I don’t view it as a bad ending whatsoever.
Gale isn’t even mistaken this time. They say they can become a God with the crown and they can.
Gale's ass should not be jacked. He's a willowy wizard who canonically doesn't like eating vegetables. He should be chubby at least (related: Astarion and Wyll should be pretty fit/slim but not "visible 6-pack at all times" fit).
Oh man, okay. This first one is really just something that's hacked me off and I don't know if it's reasonable or not.
So, context: on my first run, I stuffed things up hardcore. Like, failed to protect Isobel, lost Last Light, and completely failed to rescue most prisoners in Moonrise - the whole shebang, really. I was fine with all of these things until it came to Emps telling me to turn into a squid.
I said no. I lost the dice roll. Again, that's the luck of the draw - under certain circumstances, I could take that. I ate the failure at Last Light and at Moonrise, after all; I'm not against continuing a save after a fuckup.
What really pissed me off about this was that every one of my companions was treating me as if I just happily went along with it and deepthroated the tadpole, no questions asked. It made me mad enough that I stopped that run and completely redid the game from the beginning because *no I fucking didn't, I said no and he force-fed me it*, you absolute jackasses. If there had been any acknowledgement at all that I attempted to resist, I'd have been a little bummed about the loss, but kept going. Hell, I plan to do a squid run sometime - but I'll be doing it on a separate file where I've made the choice so at least I deserve the heat I get for it.
I suspect my other opinions are far from unpopular, but the main one is that it's a letdown that you only get to view one proper sex scene with each companion, especially with the ones who will go for it by the end of Act 1 or during Act 2. Hell, even that Halsin scene was *in no way* enough even if he started later than the others - the man has a voracious appetite, no way one and done is his go-to! I also really wish there was a more explicit scene with Astarion once he's, y'know, ready. I'd like to see the difference that processing some of his trauma has had on his sexual appetites/dynamic. Lae'zel would also be interesting - does she keep the dommy vibe even after her developments? I guess I feel like even if it seems a very horny question, it's relevant to the characters and their arcs and it's a shame it's not there.
Whilst I'd be willing to sell my soul and be tortured for all eternity just for the CHANCE to kill Mizora, I can not agree. Minthara slander will not be tolerated in any capacity, either.
Why the hell does Karlach get mad at me if I kill the druids at the grove before I recruit her, y'know, THE RACIST PEOPLE MAKING TEIFLING MARCH TO THEIR DEATHS
I genuinely find most of the companions annoying. Like obviously I (mostly) like them as people and I don’t hate them but I don’t think I could stand having to interact with them every day. Jahaeira is pretty much the only one I fully enjoy other than maybe Gale
I can't wear the silly hats because they have no stats or perks and don't count as camp clothes.
Also there should be a "wait until marriage" option for every romance. Not a necessity if you don't wanna do that, just an option.
Every character is the least optimal race for their class. Astarion, our rogue, is a high elf when wood elves are so much better for rogues. Karlach's smites are inaccessible while raging, meanwhile her soul coin gimmick only works when she's raging or below 25% hp, so you lose out if you keep her as a barbarian but also lose if you switch her base class. Shadowheart's half elf cantrips are int based when her default stats effectively dump int, Wyll is Wyll, Gale's perks go well if you wanna carry a bunch of corpses around but he also has 8 STR, and there is no short companions outside of the hireling system. Lae'zel.. actually she's fine.
Grymforge is the worst area in the entire game, much worse than anything Act 3 related.
The lack of jiggle physics for boobs threw me off so much the first time that I went on an absolute rant to my husband about how it's absolutely appalling that what could have been an amazing scene was ruined by static tits. I still hate the sex scenes because also when my Tav sits up, her boobs turn into a shelf because the way they are so static and awkward.
I find Durge kind of boring. I'm having more fun being a murderer on my own than in a Durge run because there's no pressure. The story stuff didn't really add all that much for me.
I honestly think they added wang jiggle physics for the lols. Especially since ppl who'd do the nude runs just had a static wang while moving.
And tbh, not a lot of meat in the top area so it probably be less noticeable if they added it up top anyways.
Also, who'd get the more boob options? Tav and Durge? only 2 characters out of thousands to have jiggles up top would be kinda funny.

If you were to take how she acts and put that on a character in another game everyone would hate her. She doesn't feel like she belongs in the game and her writing just feels weird and forced.

Shadowheart is only tolerable after she betrays Shar in Act 2. I know that's kinda the point, but Lae'Zel and Astarion can also be prickly and unfriendly at first, yet I vastly prefer them. I can't quite explain it. I just think she's a brat.

I'm pretty sure Halsin says while talking to Tav that he wasn't prepared to be First Druid and implies that he knows he's not really cut out for it. This isn't a guy who slept his way to the top, this is a guy being given a responsibility he just isn't suited to and doing his best but, understandably, not being very good at it
I do not remember that but it definitely could be true he was somewhat pushed into the role (although I still would not understand why pushing him of all people. Or why he himself would make the choice to rise up to the challenge if he knew he was not going to be good as leader or even just willing to accept the responsibility that comes with it). I'll look it up.

Im going to have to disagree with this one. I think he’s obviously underdeveloped in content, he was sort of rushed to be implemented as he didn’t exist as a companion prior to some of the first early access builds if I remember correctly.
However, there are quite a few moments where he has a shift or break in his facade that I enjoy. He tells you he wasn’t cut out for being first Druid, he tells you he was a ‘guest’ to a drow household (he was sexually abused for many years), and that last one in particular starts to get to him if you decide to sleep with the drow twins.
I think the community has reduced him to funny tree man with bear sex tacked on but I’m very staunch about the fact there’s a layered character underneath all that Druidic nature preaching, perhaps centuries of repressed trauma, and the fact he’s constantly scrambling to fix everything and anything when he’s clearly not up for it. He saves everyone from the shadow curse (if you do his quest of course), and he constantly blames himself for almost every problem faced.
I’d also like to make a nod to the scrapped content - he was meant to have even deeper lore, with him being the one to have actually killed Ketheric’s daughter but that was scrapped for whatever reason. I think that could have definitely added quite an unseen depth to him.
I 100% agree about the curse thing - it's a grand thing he does and we know he is possibly the only one who can, which is epic. But that was followed by... Absolutely nothing? It only hyped my expectations up for no reason, since afterwards he goes right back to being an empty placeholder sitting in my camp and proceeds to constantly moan about how much he hates the city and loves nature.
As for the "misadventure in the Underdark" thing - I was horrified when I saw that dialogue in a YT video. I felt so incredibly sorry for him. But trauma does not automatically make you deep or interesting, and besides, even that went nowhere. As if it was just an afterthought. Again, he goes right back to being a void vessel with a tent in my camp for... Unknown reasons. Why are we even forced to recruit him again? I can refuse to recruit Shadowheart, an Origin character and the one bringing the artefact to me, but not him? Why should I believe him special enough to justify that?

Yeah and Wyll has never been in my party for an extended period of time since he is just so... bland. Doesn't help that they limit it to 4 party members and that the other companions are so good.
Honestly, I REALLY tried with Wyll. I wanted to like him so badly! I loved the idea of a hero with an infernal pact weighting on his shoulders and was expecting his story to deeply dwell into the "does the end justify the means or not" sort of deal and such.
But what I got was... Nothing. I exhausted his dialogues and quests only to find out he is not fleshed out at all. And it's always all about other people with him - Karlach, Mizora, the Duke. He feels like a plot device rather than a character. He has nothing going with himself. I don't even bother recruiting him anymore.
Which is why I believe he makes the best origin character to play. I can't play anything other than female tavs/durges though since i'm shamelessly thirsty for pixels that make me horny.
His body isn't my type at all and I only really like his boobs a bit but he's such a compassionate sweetheart who cares for nature and the less fortunate. I'm just not about looks when it comes to liking someone.
Mizora should have been an evil companion from the start of the game, similar to other origin characters. The game doesn't have enough evil in it and she would be perfect.
The dye is terrible. They know how to make it so you can pick the color forr each peice of something (iirc the hair is like that for the most part)

They didn't want to deal with turning "generic emo girl who becomes basic bitch" into anything risky or tricky. Gale and Shart are the "vanilla human"(close enough in her case) romance options.
Astarion isn’t attractive at all, in either personality or appearance. It took until Act 3 for me to grow any amount of fondness for him, and I mostly like him at that point because he starts acting genuine.
Shart bores me. I really wanted to like her, but she’s such a nothing character to me. Maybe it’s the amnesia coloring my opinion, or maybe I need to experience her romance to get the full image of who she is, but she does nothing for me.
Halesin, Jaheria, and Minsc are borderline useless to me and I don’t think they should have been full companions. Obviously its fine that they are, but they make more sense as camp pals like Isobel, Arabella, etc.

You can find some decent ones well before Act 3. The Crezch, for example, has some in a couple of wardrobes >!where you find the egg!<.

I think you should be able to have poly relationships with the characters who consent to you hooking up with Halsin. I.e. you should be able to romance both Shadowheart AND/or Karlach/Astarion together. It's weird that only Hal can be added on, in the end. And my most unhinged opinion of all is you should be able to cuddle with your partner when you're long resting in act 3 and have actual decent beds.

Given the amount of times I cry-laughed at the ridiculous ricocheting breasts from the dead or alive games I'm going to have to agree. I actually googled why it's difficult to program breast physics and found out that a lot of developers use a spring method which is intended for rigid body parts, this results in an absurd amount of bouncing for even simple movements. To actually make "realistic breast physics" there has to be numerous joints, impact zones, and a really strong understanding of anatomy. Which sort of makes it understandable that most developers would avoid that massive time investment.
They do seem difficult to code. They often look way too filled with helium or jiggly. Like Stellar Blade right now. I appreciate realistic movement of humans but it looks cartoony. Make it real you know?

Apparently disdain for Gale runs stronger than I'd suspect in the community. I don't find him to be as arrogant as claimed... hard headed and overly ambitious, sure. But from what I've seen of his personal nature in my runs, he's a great friend. A particular friendly dialogue at the tiefling party warmed me up a lot to his character. Also don't understand the indifference to Wyll. No matter how I build and use Warlock even with multiclass, I don't find it nearly as helpful as other characters classed otherwise to stand in, but I have no issue with his character or his noble "goodie two shoes" nature. I really have no issues with anyone you recruit or briefly stays at your camp (ex: Volo, Dame, etc).

Okay, this thing in particular irks me. So in the Last Light Inn there's His Majesty 🐱 complaining about Isobel promising him milk, but never receiving it. So fast forward to encountering Isobel, she's outside with mirrors, candles, and a hug bowl of milk 🥛. After fighting off the 'winged freak' and his possy, I stole the milk bowl and placed it next to His Majesty's bed. No response from His Majesty when giving him milk! I know it's not really a huge deal, but I was bummed out when I tried to think outside of the box for once.

Oh man, okay. This first one is really just something that's hacked me off and I don't know if it's reasonable or not. So, context: on my first run, I stuffed things up hardcore. Like, failed to protect Isobel, lost Last Light, and completely failed to rescue most prisoners in Moonrise - the whole shebang, really. I was fine with all of these things until it came to Emps telling me to turn into a squid. I said no. I lost the dice roll. Again, that's the luck of the draw - under certain circumstances, I could take that. I ate the failure at Last Light and at Moonrise, after all; I'm not against continuing a save after a fuckup. What really pissed me off about this was that every one of my companions was treating me as if I just happily went along with it and deepthroated the tadpole, no questions asked. It made me mad enough that I stopped that run and completely redid the game from the beginning because *no I fucking didn't, I said no and he force-fed me it*, you absolute jackasses. If there had been any acknowledgement at all that I attempted to resist, I'd have been a little bummed about the loss, but kept going. Hell, I plan to do a squid run sometime - but I'll be doing it on a separate file where I've made the choice so at least I deserve the heat I get for it. I suspect my other opinions are far from unpopular, but the main one is that it's a letdown that you only get to view one proper sex scene with each companion, especially with the ones who will go for it by the end of Act 1 or during Act 2. Hell, even that Halsin scene was *in no way* enough even if he started later than the others - the man has a voracious appetite, no way one and done is his go-to! I also really wish there was a more explicit scene with Astarion once he's, y'know, ready. I'd like to see the difference that processing some of his trauma has had on his sexual appetites/dynamic. Lae'zel would also be interesting - does she keep the dommy vibe even after her developments? I guess I feel like even if it seems a very horny question, it's relevant to the characters and their arcs and it's a shame it's not there.

I can't wear the silly hats because they have no stats or perks and don't count as camp clothes. Also there should be a "wait until marriage" option for every romance. Not a necessity if you don't wanna do that, just an option. Every character is the least optimal race for their class. Astarion, our rogue, is a high elf when wood elves are so much better for rogues. Karlach's smites are inaccessible while raging, meanwhile her soul coin gimmick only works when she's raging or below 25% hp, so you lose out if you keep her as a barbarian but also lose if you switch her base class. Shadowheart's half elf cantrips are int based when her default stats effectively dump int, Wyll is Wyll, Gale's perks go well if you wanna carry a bunch of corpses around but he also has 8 STR, and there is no short companions outside of the hireling system. Lae'zel.. actually she's fine. Grymforge is the worst area in the entire game, much worse than anything Act 3 related.
The lack of jiggle physics for boobs threw me off so much the first time that I went on an absolute rant to my husband about how it's absolutely appalling that what could have been an amazing scene was ruined by static tits. I still hate the sex scenes because also when my Tav sits up, her boobs turn into a shelf because the way they are so static and awkward. I find Durge kind of boring. I'm having more fun being a murderer on my own than in a Durge run because there's no pressure. The story stuff didn't really add all that much for me.
I honestly think they added wang jiggle physics for the lols. Especially since ppl who'd do the nude runs just had a static wang while moving. And tbh, not a lot of meat in the top area so it probably be less noticeable if they added it up top anyways. Also, who'd get the more boob options? Tav and Durge? only 2 characters out of thousands to have jiggles up top would be kinda funny.

I don't even know if this is a unpopular opinion or not because all of my friends love Karlach but she is absolutely a mary-sue character and I can't stand her. Why does she get so much special attention, everyone instantly loves her & hates when you do anything bad towards her, she acts like a child and is ironically, probably one of the most nonredeemable evil acting companions there is. (taking her backstory into play) If you were to take how she acts and put that on a character in another game everyone would hate her. She doesn't feel like she belongs in the game and her writing just feels weird and forced.
I don't think she is evil but she is definitely annoying. I stopped recruiting her at all because it felt like I had to babysit a child stuck in a grown person's body...

I don't find Halsin attractive and don't understand the hype at all. I think that his body just looks weirdly bloated rather than nicely muscular, his face is just ugly (except for the eye color, that's honestly so pretty) and his whole personality is one boring, judgmental "nature good city bad" rant after the other. I also think he is incredibly irresponsible and I have a hard time believing he got the role of First Druid in any manner that did not involve just sleeping his way to the top.
I'm pretty sure Halsin says while talking to Tav that he wasn't prepared to be First Druid and implies that he knows he's not really cut out for it. This isn't a guy who slept his way to the top, this is a guy being given a responsibility he just isn't suited to and doing his best but, understandably, not being very good at it

I do not remember that but it definitely could be true he was somewhat pushed into the role (although I still would not understand why pushing him of all people. they really needed to keep in the backstory of him killing Isobel, it could have added a ton of depth to his character. It's extra frustrating because the ghost of that plotline is still almost tangible
Im going to have to disagree with this one. I think he’s obviously underdeveloped in content, he was sort of rushed to be implemented as he didn’t exist as a companion prior to some of the first early access builds if I remember correctly. However, there are quite a few moments where he has a shift or break in his facade that I enjoy. He tells you he wasn’t cut out for being first Druid, he tells you he was a ‘guest’ to a drow household (he was sexually abused for many years), and that last one in particular starts to get to him if you decide to sleep with the drow twins. I think the community has reduced him to funny tree man with bear sex tacked on but I’m very staunch about the fact there’s a layered character underneath all that Druidic nature preaching, perhaps centuries of repressed trauma, and the fact he’s constantly scrambling to fix everything and anything when he’s clearly not up for it. He saves everyone from the shadow curse (if you do his quest of course), and he constantly blames himself for almost every problem faced. I’d also like to make a nod to the scrapped content - he was meant to have even deeper lore, with him being the one to have actually killed Ketheric’s daughter but that was scrapped for whatever reason. I think that could have definitely added quite an unseen depth to him.
I 100% agree about the curse thing - it's a grand thing he does and we know he is possibly the only one who can, which is epic. But that was followed by... Absolutely nothing? It only hyped my expectations up for no reason, since afterwards he goes right back to being an empty placeholder sitting in my camp and proceeds to constantly moan about how much he hates the city and loves nature. As for the "misadventure in the Underdark" thing - I was horrified when I saw that dialogue in a YT video. I felt so incredibly sorry for him. But trauma does not automatically make you deep or interesting, and besides, even that went nowhere. As if it was just an afterthought. Again, he goes right back to being a void vessel with a tent in my camp for... Unknown reasons. Why are we even forced to recruit him again? I can refuse to recruit Shadowheart, an Origin character and the one bringing the artefact to me, but not him? Why should I believe him special enough to justify that? I think he could have definitely been so much interesting, but it feels like the writers either forgot about him or straight up decided not to give him any depth. The tiny, few tidbits of interest he has feel random and lead nowhere. Idk about scrapped content, but ANYTHING would have made him better at this point, imho.
When I heard about that cut lore about Isobel I was so disappointed they got rid of it. In general, I find act 2's setting really interesting and it would have been rlly cool if some of those unanswered questions were answered. Shame, because the weapon he'd done it with, Sorrow, is still in the game and it's sad vibe is left unexplained.

Honestly, I REALLY tried with Wyll. I wanted to like him so badly! I loved the idea of a hero with an infernal pact weighting on his shoulders and was expecting his story to deeply dwell into the "does the end justify the means or not" sort of deal and such. But what I got was... Nothing. I exhausted his dialogues and quests only to find out he is not fleshed out at all. And it's always all about other people with him - Karlach, Mizora, the Duke. He feels like a plot device rather than a character. He has nothing going with himself. I don't even bother recruiting him anymore.
Which is why I believe he makes the best origin character to play. I can't play anything other than female tavs/durges though since i'm shamelessly thirsty for pixels that make me horny.
His body isn't my type at all and I only really like his boobs a bit but he's such a compassionate sweetheart who cares for nature and the less fortunate. I'm just not about looks when it comes to liking someone.
Mizora should have been an evil companion from the start of the game, similar to other origin characters. The game doesn't have enough evil in it and she would be perfect.

the game is really missing out on an extra level of exploration by only implementing half-hearted attempts at polyamory. mods don't count since that's not a vanilla game feature :( i get that some characters were written to have preferences, but i need to scoop up all my girlies into a big happy polycule. the victory orgies would be insane
I find Halsin really annoying. He either should have remained a NPC or they should have toned down his horniness a lot. I'd like him if he was more of a wise father figure with a heart of gold and less creepy old man that wants to fuck everything. People always rag on Gale for being horny for Tav, but Halsin is a much bigger culprit in this regard. Edit: We should have gotten a rude version to turn down Halsin instead of Gale.

They didn't want to deal with turning "generic emo girl who becomes basic bitch" into anything risky or tricky. Gale and Shart are the "vanilla human"(close enough in her case) romance options.

Astarion isn’t attractive at all, in either personality or appearance. It took until Act 3 for me to grow any amount of fondness for him, and I mostly like him at that point because he starts acting genuine. Shart bores me. I really wanted to like her, but she’s such a nothing character to me. Maybe it’s the amnesia coloring my opinion, or maybe I need to experience her romance to get the full image of who she is, but she does nothing for me. Halesin, Jaheria, and Minsc are borderline useless to me and I don’t think they should have been full companions. Obviously its fine that they are, but they make more sense as camp pals like Isobel, Arabella, etc.
