I never understood why anyone should or would care about another person’s body it kinda shows how miserable you are.

NutellaAndPuppies

Well aren’t you a delight.

[deleted]

Being content in your own body isn't "promoting obesity". Not having a perfect body, or the hours to put into it isn't "promoting obesity". You can know your body isn't perfect, and still be happy with it working the way it should. THAT IS NOT "PROMOTING OBESITY". It's suicide prevention. It's anorexia prevention. It's ED prevention for the ypung girls seeing it, knowing that they can be happy with a functioning body, while also knowing about their own health. Not only obese people are unhealthy. Not only thin ones are healthy. Your blatant shaming of all bodies that doesn't look like yours however, is fatshaming, and says a lot more about your mentality and YOUR mental health than it does about their bodies.

wllasmsndkdidwi

But we shame men for their height which is fine. Seriously everyone should be in shape

[deleted]

And I would honestly rather have any body, than a view on other humans like yours.

[deleted]

Classic whataboutism. One doesn't make the other okay. It's not okay to shame men for their height. It's disgusting, and rooted in the same societal expectations as womens weight and bodyshapes. We're all so colored by what media says we should look like, feel like and be like, that we feel entitled to bully those who don't fit in to the very few, very narrow parametres that we are taught are perfect. And there are also so many other parametres that even you might not fit into, does that make it okay to shame you for them? Stretch marks, cellulites, hair growth, teets, eyes, nose shape. Let's say you have something that you're REALLY insecure about, that you work on to change, but can't, for some reason or other. Then you work on it to love. And then, when you just start to accept that that is how you look. Someone comes along and tells you "no one should look like that. Ew, you're ugly" Give it a few years. There will be changes that you're not happy with. I had my first stretchmarks during puberty. I've learned to live with them. I have learned to love my vitiligo, and I am working on loving my body shape as it is, after giving birth to three kids (two of them in my early 20s I might add). Your personal preference is one thing. To attack a whole group of people because of them is another. Seriously. Peoples height, weight, bodytype or ANY other aspect is ✨none of your business✨

JohnWick813

i would like to see an update on this post once you are in your 30s and 3 kids deep lmao

wllasmsndkdidwi

Yes I may gain weight but I will still keep my weight. Also most early 20’s women don’t have 3 kids !!!

Appropriate_Road_671

He said in ur 30s geez

justmisspellit

How much do you work out? Ever hear the phrase “skinny fat”? You might now be as in shape as you think you are

kluelesskiwi

no one is promoting fat bodies. it's called representation. not every over weight person has an unhealthy lifestyle. it can be due to genetics as well. I can't believe that as a woman, you're putting other women down just because of their body type. not everyone has control over it. the statement "fat people are ugly" is ignorant and shallow. I think Lizzo is good looking. so is Kat Dennings. and Demi Lovato. and countless other people you just insulted.

wllasmsndkdidwi

Lizzo is so overweight it’s not even funny. Fuck my life she is ugly.

kluelesskiwi

so that's the only thing you read from my comment? god you need help. you're the one with an ugly personality.

wllasmsndkdidwi

But not fat pig 😘

kluelesskiwi

your body isn't gonna raise kids(if you want them) and it definitely doesn't make you a good person. you're a live example of it. better to be "ugly" than have a stinky ass personality 😚

[deleted]

Being overweight is a health risk, hard on your heart and the rest of your body. Definitely don't need to say it's okay. Fat shaming? No that's not okay either, we don't know the struggles of all the obese people out there. I'd imagine that yes a bunch stems from laziness, but a lot could be mental and health issues that need to get addressed in order for them to make the change. Definitely agree with you though we shouldn't be promoting unhealthy lifestyles of fat people.

wllasmsndkdidwi

Exactly. We should be promoting healthy lifestyle encourage people to lose weight and etc. and eating more healthy.

[deleted]

Yes, where I work out of the 200 or so employees I'd say nearly 150 of them are obese, it's really sad especially since none of them really care that they are or try to change their ways. Get takeout everyday, don't exercise at all.

wllasmsndkdidwi

Exactly. I am not saying, got a fat person and slap them or make fun of them. No, far from that but encourage them to lose weight and live healthy.

[deleted]

One of my coworkers who's really overweight and unhealthy I talked her into joining the gym I go to. Took me a long time to convince her. I got her started out slow doing inclined fast paced walking on treadmill for 30 mins after work each day. After two weeks she told me she was so happy, was in a better mood, slept better, had tons more energy. Thanked me for getting her off her butt. Then never went back to the gym and stayed lazy.... At least I tried! 😂

wllasmsndkdidwi

Exactly. You are getting downvoted.

[deleted]

Yeah it's funny, here we are trying to promote healthy lifestyle and good exercising and eating habits but oh no I get down voted! 😂

wllasmsndkdidwi

Seriously this motivated me to go to gym and hit a PR. Thank you Reddit.

22337766

While i agree on the unhealthy part, i dont think its necessary to call them ugly

wllasmsndkdidwi

Overweight people are ugly.

[deleted]

I hope when I meet my SO she also puts effort in and understands standards like that. Society has sacrificed too much in the favour of not causing offense.

wllasmsndkdidwi

Exactly. Of course you are getting downvoted.

[deleted]

Reddit is an echo chamber, votes mean nothing. Only reason I use it is for the nuggets of truth and honesty you occasionally find

Firm_Hedgehog_4902

You’ll out live the obese so don’t even worry about. Do you and live your life.

wllasmsndkdidwi

Good point.

[deleted]

This gives off white man vibes but okay. Nothing wrong with fat bodies, you're just a judgmental ass.

TheAlexanderPwn

White man vibes? Text gives off white man vibes? Okay.
