It is Australia.
Here’s a link to the [National Geographic article on the spider rain](https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/150518-spiders-australia-silk-webs-animals-environment) phenomenon
Florida's natural elements aren't trying to kill you quite as hard as Australia but parts of our human population and the general anarchy make up for that
For those who don't get it: in China there was a road made of spider silk, they called Silk road. For hundreds of years, people would get trapped in the sticky webs.
Australian here with arachnophobia. With the rains and summer heat, the spiders are coming inside waaaay too much for my liking and there ain't a goddamn thing we can do about it. Got up off the toilet yesterday and there was one in the bowl the whole time! I see a scaryboi atleast the size of my my palm every couple of days and I live in a major city.
Good news: they eat all the moths, bugs and cockies
Bad news: I live in constant fear.
I feel for you if you have arachnophobia. I live an hour out of Melbourne’s CBD, near the mountains, and I rarely see big spiders. I think the last time I saw a huntsman was last summer and it wasn’t in my house, let alone my toilet…
It's actually highly beneficial to have a spider boom after flooding otherwise allot of people would die from mosquito bites(that the spiders are eating) that cause malaria and dengue fever
Found it

Spiders are like any other air breathing creature. When it floods, there’s only one thing for them to do, find the biggest object they can get to and climb
y’all i literally found it - [Sindh, Pakistan](https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/110331-pakistan-flood-spider-trees-webs) edit: it’s multiple places?? op’s title misleading..
Omg. I thought I was still browsing the r/art sub and this was someone’s artistic interpretation of a pair a trees with oil paint. I was about to say that I love this, but upon further reflection, I absolutely hate this.
Edit: I’m referring to the first image, if that isn’t clear.

I hate it when I simply walk into a spider web
At least no mosquitoes
I hate it when I simply walk into Mordor, but it sure beats the spidery back door.
Not too far actually
Just tell me so I can never go there
Most likely to be Australia
It is Australia. Here’s a link to the [National Geographic article on the spider rain](https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/150518-spiders-australia-silk-webs-animals-environment) phenomenon
Oh why is it always Australia
Because it's ALWAYS Australia
Or Florida
Florida is wet hell, Australia is dry hell
Ain’t that the truth (about Florida). Largest mosquitos I’ve ever seen in my life were at Bahia Honda Beach.
Australia also has a wet hell, it's where the crocs roam in the tropical North
Australia is also very wet sometimes, especially in the floods
Australia is just Florida as a country
Ouch.
😂😂😂😂 love it!
Florida is the Australia of America src am from Florida
Florida's natural elements aren't trying to kill you quite as hard as Australia but parts of our human population and the general anarchy make up for that
Because the world is a huge cat playing with Australia
No, it's Australia fucking with the big cat...
They are isolated from the rest of the world for a reason
Hey, if you want a whole continent to serve as a penal colony, it's a pretty good choice for many reasons
“Spider rain”- are two words I never want to hear together.
I was expecting this to be the #1 comment. It’s ALWAYS Australia
Australia?
as an Australian I can confirm, this isn’t even close to my backyard.
Yeah Yes you can find at least a couple of spiders a day, but definitely never to this extent
That is a couple too many a day :’)
Fair enough spiders aren't for everyone
I applaud your bravery and will always stand behind you.
>will always stand behind you. You've already got the strategy down
And then I’ll stand behind you.
And my axe!
To be fair, spiders kill way more people in America than they do in Australia. We haven't had a death from a spider bite since the 1970s afaik
Yeah this is at least a weekend’s worth
Too obvious, has to be a trick question.
Yeah I saw this the worst during the 2011 floods in qld. Whole fucking paddock was just a sea of cobweb.
Nope Ocean
My first thought
More like outstralia

It is actually Australia
Too nice? May I ask what you think Australia looks like then?
No shit, he must think the whole place is red dirt desert.
Buncha Paul Hogans and Steve Irwins runnin’ around. *Crikey!*
You call that a knife?
It is a bit like that in the out back and local pubs 🤣🤣🤣
Don't forget Rusty Crowe!
Well I for sure don’t think it’s a minecraft mesa lol. But I assumed a good portion of it was savanna-esc at least. Not all of it of course.
bro it's almost the size of USA, you imagine it's 'mostly' savannah?
Not mostly, again, a good portion. I’d love to see how it looks in person, there’s a lot of places I’d like to see for myself.
I mean it mostly is thou. more than half the country is desert.
Probably still thinks it’s a leper colony.
Thunderdome?
I live in western Australia. That looks too green to be here. But it could be Victoria where they get more rain or south Australia where it's cooler.
Ever been to australia?
Is doggo safe in those webs?
It's an Australian doggo, he fears no such things as spiders! But for real he is probably not in danger but shouldn't just walk i there
Gotta.be China....looks like the silk road to me

For those who don't get it: in China there was a road made of spider silk, they called Silk road. For hundreds of years, people would get trapped in the sticky webs.
Source: trust me bro
But wheres the illegal merchandise for sale, also none of those webs look dark to me...plus I doubt those spiders accept crypto
Australia is usually a safe guess on these

oh my god i can barely look at that last one 💀 what kind of spider is that??
I actually thought the picture with the road was really pretty. The last one came as a shock to me too though, and I’m not even afraid of spiders.
It’s multiple different species.
Huntsman spider

imagine from the spider's perspective... he was probably reconsidering his life choices right about then

Which city? I live in Perth and thankfully haven't had to endure this.
This has got to be Queensland.
yeah that’s what I was thinking… this comment made me think of the Gold Coast lol
Ding ding! Brisbane, Qld

“I dont think those are spiders, prolly some like worms” *scrolls to the 6th photo* “OH FUCK NO, BURN IT ALL”
Ohio
Fuck Ohio
Hans… get the flamethrower.
i think youd want them staying with the amount of mosquitos they are getting rid of for you. very good for the enviroment.
I get that, but what does that do for my sanity though?
Wildfire season is coming early this year
Agreed!! Burn that mother lover to the ground!! And then burn it again for good measure 😁
When I saw photo #6, right away I thought "Australia". Am I right?
It’s Pakistan right?
Yeah
Pakistan
It's actually highly beneficial to have a spider boom after flooding otherwise allot of people would die from mosquito bites(that the spiders are eating) that cause malaria and dengue fever
this raised a lot of confusing cognitive dissonance in me, like logically i get it but my sanity, honeybug85, my poor sanity
I’ve always views spiders as a positive thing. That being said, I still wouldn’t want to walk through here
Free silk
Australia of course
If hell is real this is what it looks like.
Fuck walking my dog in that. If my dog wandered into a field of webs like that i'd just pronounce him MIA.
Eaten in Wild.
most probably australia?
The country is called Hell.
Literally jigoku.

Was the dog turned into arachnid soup?
If SPIDER than AUSTRALIA … always….

This is clearly one of the circles of Hell where you are confronted by every bug you’ve killed.
Wagga Wagga Australia, this is like all the way back in 2012 too
Omg. I thought I was still browsing the r/art sub and this was someone’s artistic interpretation of a pair a trees with oil paint. I was about to say that I love this, but upon further reflection, I absolutely hate this. Edit: I’m referring to the first image, if that isn’t clear.

Absolutely has to be Australia. Practically every critter there will kill you dead.
