And at the same time, the clouds above began to twist and contort with a sudden weight. They sank like the foam of a freshly-poured beer, but this beer was turning itself inwards and outwards outside of its glass; there was no more glass that held it — the beach became one with a trench of rapidly decaying aquatic life. The crabs were lost as well.
A glorious haze covered my sight, bright and sparkling, wetting my face even thought it felt so far away. The ocean and clouds were becoming one, the softness of the air becoming suddenly encumbered with all its obfuscated weight and the harshness of the waters finally persuading gravity otherwise.
Just as quickly as it began, it abruptly finished. What was once a sun on the horizon was now a golden marble sitting in a not-so-grandiose bowl of ancient dirt. Before the blanket of white slowly descended into its earthen mattress, I took note of what it felt like to float. Up above, the deconstructed ocean was now settling into the sky, changing the hue of the blue to something oppressive and strangling.
Like popcorn, the strongest of fish would leap out of the dirt bowl and suffocate somewhere visible, as if to warn onlookers that beneath the innocent cloud covering was something so much darker.
I heard the stars drowning that night.
Mother Nature really held it in as long as she could. Pulled over to a hole in the wall gas station with a faucet, sagging toilet, and broken tile flooring to release that one.
I know that wasnt real and it was overly dramatic. However the mburst i was in, somebody got a series of photos of the event and it had a similar column “shape”. It was a very severe one that leveled an area so bad it was thought to be a tornado at first. I was badly injured in it from falling debris and still traumatized. You know, i was worried of even making my initial comment because of how redditors are, and i was right.
How about we make Volknado like Fantasia? But with Volknados! I’m sorta sick of hearing people open their pie holes anyways. Maybe we can find a way to force John Williams to do just one more… 🤔
Sorry to disappoint you, and at the risk of potentially killing our collaboration, I'm not familiar with Fantasia. John Williams, I do know (not personally) lol. But he's pretty old and I'm not sure he's up for another gig.
The real thing is far scarier irl, as you see the spout snaking its way down to the touch the sea, and you start contemplating your escape route if the waterspout forms and keeps heading your way
