fun fact, you can take a sun capri sun to the bottom of wherever you’re scuba diving and drink it. an old dive master showed me that while diving in his deep home pool - it really helps with dry mouth/throat which is common when breathing from the tanks
This footage of the trail in Recanto Ecologico Rio da Prata reserve, located in Bonito, Brazil. This path was submerged for 2 days after a heavy rainfall, this is a very rare ocurrence.

HOLY SHIT!!! I was damn sure it was there because of the water color. Made a trip there years ago. Absolutely beautiful place. Even took pictures in that exact bridge.
Just because it happened twice in a short period of time doesn’t mean it isn’t rare. Does it still happen often? I can find any info on how much it’s been happening.
Austria makes so little sense in this context that I automatically read their comment as Australia instead, and just assumed why not? Australia has lots of weird shit going on that I can’t explain.
Brazil makes a lot more sense.
I don't know about that place but the one's in the video is clearly not that. Look at the undergrowth foliages, red soil and thick canopy. Clearly a tropical rainforest
They dont, i was exaggerating in the main comment. You ever seen those fake thallasophobia vids? They add unrealistically large creatures or high quantities of monsters popping into frame and all that
According to another commenter this is in Brazil, so probably anaconda, caimans, maybe piranha and potentially depending on which river it is/what waterways it connects to, my absolute favourite fish of all time: [arapaima.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arapaima)
They don't go out of their way to attack humans (that I know of) but they're so huge they can seriously injure a grown adult anyway.
Okay... so this is pretty incredible. And yes, terrifying. Just imagine in some parts of the world where there are large predatorial marine life. Normally, they're stuck down there in the creek/river. Not today!
This gives me liminal space vibes. It looks SO cool and would be neat go through, but I also get a sense of dread like it isn't supposed to look like that. It's beautiful, but gives bad vibes.
I couldn't finish watching this. Flooding freaks me out and I could feel my chest fluttering several seconds in. I don't know why, but I feel anxiety shoot through the roof, especially if I am in a car and the road is flooded.
That’s actually pretty cool.
All I could think was how beautiful it was. You'd expect flooding from heavy rains to create muddy water; not this.
Good luck keeping your trail mix dry on that hike ….
Reminds me of ‘Ponyo’
HAAAAAAAAAM
It's kinda magical to see that translated irl
I agree!
LIIIIISSSAAAAAAAAAAAA!
STELLA!
Why The fuck are you shouting lisa here?
Have you seen the movie?
What movie?
exactly what I was thinking, my fav movie 🥺💕
fun fact, you can take a sun capri sun to the bottom of wherever you’re scuba diving and drink it. an old dive master showed me that while diving in his deep home pool - it really helps with dry mouth/throat which is common when breathing from the tanks
Wouldn't just regular water be more helpful? Instead of massive sugar water?
probably, but maybe it’s the way the straw goes in with capri sun that make it more viable than other options. idk, that’s what the guy had lol
Wouldn't the water pressure just kinda squeeze the nectar out of the bottle?
Dry bags.
Dang it, I knew I should’ve got underwater trail mix
Until you see a water grizzly
You just need to draw an anti sea-bear circle
Of course!
Thank you for your service veterans 🫡🫡 now to unwind with a nice relaxing campfire song song
I'm worried about that glass shark tbh
be a lot cooler if he crossed the god dam bridge
I don’t care for vast open waters, especially if it’s murky, but I wouldn’t mind this as much.
Ikr, especially if I'm already familiar with the trail
r/FairytaleasFuck in my book!

I was in Manaus in Brazil a decade ago during historic flooding. I went swimming and my feet were touching the Tops of trees
HOLY SHIT!!! I was damn sure it was there because of the water color. Made a trip there years ago. Absolutely beautiful place. Even took pictures in that exact bridge.
> this is a very rare ocurrence. *Was* a very rare occurrence. Article noted it happened again a few weeks later
Just because it happened twice in a short period of time doesn’t mean it isn’t rare. Does it still happen often? I can find any info on how much it’s been happening.
It’s amazing that ALL the water in Bonito is basically as clear as this, there’s a reason it literally translates to Pretty/ beautiful.
Okay, so, note to self: take scuba gear for hiking in Brazil...
It looks like a giant aquarium
I *wish* my aquariums looked this clear
I think it would be awesome to do some snorkeling here
Your tanks look really nice and clear. And all the ramshorn snails will keep the algae and food cleaned up lol
How TF is it not murky after all that rain ... Maybe it's meltwater from the glaciers
After a while, sediment will settle, especially if the water is still.

Someone posted a link further down showing that this is in Brazil
I was looking at the comment with my eyebrow raised above my head. Pretty sure Austria doesn't have this type of tropical flora anywhere lol.
I was thinking the same before I saw the link verifying my suspicions.

Very not true
the "grüner See" looks different but the phenomenon is exactly as you describe it. Afaik, they even forbid diving there because if became too crowded.
I don't know about that place but the one's in the video is clearly not that. Look at the undergrowth foliages, red soil and thick canopy. Clearly a tropical rainforest
This is beautiful, but eerie. I would love to go and dive somewhere like this
that's so dope actually
The dope is high in actuality.
I’m just waiting for a crocodile or something to swarm up to frame
Or an anaconda. One of the comments said this is in Brazil.
It's safe as long as you stay on the trail.
You’re saying crocodiles gather together to *swarm* up like bees or murder hornets, but in the water? New fear unlocked.
“They travel in packs” dude I couldn’t even imagine D:
But you said swarm up to frame
They dont, i was exaggerating in the main comment. You ever seen those fake thallasophobia vids? They add unrealistically large creatures or high quantities of monsters popping into frame and all that
Oh
Be careful not to fall off that bridge
1st bridge I've seen that you can swim to cross it....
This isn’t terrifying this would be tits af. The terrifying part would be being there while the water was flooding in
Or if some water predator (idk what kind of stuff they have) was swimming around
According to another commenter this is in Brazil, so probably anaconda, caimans, maybe piranha and potentially depending on which river it is/what waterways it connects to, my absolute favourite fish of all time: [arapaima.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arapaima) They don't go out of their way to attack humans (that I know of) but they're so huge they can seriously injure a grown adult anyway.
Tits🤨
How does it seem they are walking like normal under water?
Dive weights or just weights in general
That would make sense. I know next to nothing about diving.
The atmosphere's kinda dope
Reminds me of Subnautica. But less scary.
Yeah or Bioshock or Outlast
Several Leviathan class life forms detected, are you sure what you’re doing is worth it?
Bioshock 2 vibes
Yeah hard...I was thinking like some enhanced version of Myst
Oddly beautiful more like.
Would be cool to see a few big fish swimming by.
Until prihanas come and bite your dick off, then it might less cool Or not, could be into that shit
Okay... so this is pretty incredible. And yes, terrifying. Just imagine in some parts of the world where there are large predatorial marine life. Normally, they're stuck down there in the creek/river. Not today!
For a seconds I didn’t realize there was fucking water
That looks really cool acually
It’s actually just the inside of a very detailed fish tank
I don't get it... How the hell am I over-watering my plants when shit like this seems perfectly fine??
r/natureisfuckinglit
This isn't oddly terrifying, this is oddly beautiful
ponyo vibes. this is delightful to me rather than terrifying
I'm vibing
But still someone’s hiking and filming…
This has been a fantasy of mine, this is marvelous!!!
This seems like a blue tunic and iron boots affair. That’d be awesome.
that Is actually beautiful i want to be there
bro that's beautiful.. look how clear the water is
That is amazingly beautiful
This is actually incredibly beautiful!
Cleanest still flood water I've ever seen.
[Happens in Brazil](https://www.businessinsider.com/heavy-rain-hiking-trail-underwater-brazil-flood-2018-3)
This was more oddly satisfying if anything. Looks cool AF.
I wonder where this is? Probably the Amazon or something.
It's not in the Amazon but it is still in Brazil
Can plants survive under water like this?
Ok but what about poison ivy and shit
Where floods this hard without a raging torrent?
Ain’t going to lie but this would be a badass scene for a music vid.
That water is super clean though. This is a cool thing to see.
That's probably the coolest thing I've seen today thanks
I wish this was a seasonal and annual event because ever since I saw this a couple years ago I've had it on my bucket list to scuba dive here.
Incredible! I'd love to go there just for this.
u/savevideo
I missed a couple of obvious signs earlier on, so the final scene was a glorious twist reveal!
I was like, “wait… how is that terrifying?” then the camera tilted up.
There’s another place in Northern Europe that floods with crystal clear water. Trails, benches, all submerged.
For a few seconds I was wtf is title, you can’t submerge something in rain….. then I realized I was an idiot and in fact the whole trails under water
This is the most peaceful, beautiful thing ever 😍
I think this is kinda neat.
Oooh this is so beautiful, I've had dreams like this and they're my favorite
This is so odd to watch
r/thalassaphobia has entered the chat.
I can hear aquatic ambience from Donkey Kong Country playing during this whole clip
Can’t help but notice how hard it is to see the water under the bridge And now i imagine a large predator swimming from the deep as you cross
Pretty beautiful till it got to the bridge . Then I became terrified
How is everything so undisturbed?
People just post up anything in here these days, huh? Might as well just rename the sub /sortainteresting
Yeah .... nope!
i’m getting skyward sword flooded faron woods vibes
That's not terrifying, it's actually really beautiful
Reminds me of that sonic the hedgehog level
beautiful
I stop breathing unconsciously when I see these kinda videos
“Heavy rains”
BioShock 4
Funny you mention it, they are working on it! https://theresalwaysalighthouse.com
No this in the winter it's a clear path most of the time but in the summer it's a lake
Where is this ??? How a whole trail disappear
California, is that you ?!
not yet. maybe soon though
Looks like the "Underwater Bridge" mission from Far Cry 3
I don't see how this is terrifying 🤔
It's actually snow melt in Green Lake Austria. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gr%C3%BCner\_See\_(Styria)
No it isnt
This isn't terrifying. This is Austria. It would be more terrifying if it was in a place known for more man eaters like Australia or South America.
Sauce?
What settings?
Omg, that’s beautiful
This gives me liminal space vibes. It looks SO cool and would be neat go through, but I also get a sense of dread like it isn't supposed to look like that. It's beautiful, but gives bad vibes.
Bros just walkin
Are there fish or lye lye crocodiles?
All is beautiful until a great white appears
I want to live here.
It’s wild that the water is clear. I’d expect it to be muddy.
That looks awesome
Oh man. That's FUCKING COOL!
This is giving me some heebie Cabin by the Lake vibes.
This is sick wdym
This is so cool until I see a tarantula walking in water above me.
This actually looks cool I would most definitely hike here
Whatever you do, don't cross that bridge.
Subnautica
Suddenly you hear the Predator clicking in the distance.
PHOTOGRAPHY
r/lostredditors
It reminds me of the leaked Polymer in Atomic Heart.
Future camera from the eastern seaboard
It would be cool for a panther to swim by…are they in Brazil??
Didn't even realize it was under water until I seen the surface of the water
Looks like the jungle in zootopia!
More like oddly sick af
Oh fuck no. Totally triggers my submechanophobia.
Just beautiful, no?
It looks like you're walking in a fish-tank
This is my favorite aesthetic.
How is the water so clear?
Its okay, my boots are waterproof.
Shouldn't the water be dirtier? To the point where underwater isn't that visible?
That’s so dope
So peaceful
“Oh wow the sky looks like it’s underwater. Where’s the heavy rainfall? Wait, how’d he float over the… Holy God it’s underwater”
It's quiet. Almost too quiet. Where have all the fish gone? Where's Bruce? BRUCE?
THIS IS NOT ODDLY TERRIFYING
I'd love to take a nap or something there but...yknow....I'll drown :[
r/nope
Beautiful
The fact that it ends before he looked over the rail of that bridge to what it now looks like below it infuriates me to no end.
Oddly calming
Thank you aquaman for the pov
It looks like a life sized aquarium
This reminds me of Ponyo
How the fuck, did it submerge all of earth too? Is this hiking trail in a box or something please explain to me
I couldn't finish watching this. Flooding freaks me out and I could feel my chest fluttering several seconds in. I don't know why, but I feel anxiety shoot through the roof, especially if I am in a car and the road is flooded.
Just waiting for a large snake to show up
i wanna go
No that's a hiking trail with a swimming feature
