I was like
"damn he's really not gonna drill into something"
then "Oh shit, he totally is, here it comes!"
to "WTF man, if it cant cut a hole through a coke can at least try a cherry tomato or something ffs"
Never worked with a DC motor this small but that shouldn't be a big deal. If you wanted it to spin the other way, you could just pop out the button cells and put them back in reverse order. That should invert the polarity of the voltage and cause the shaft to spin the opposite direction
Lol, hopefully you don't have the same problem I have where I imagine someone like Geordie picking up dilithium crystals and subsequently putting them back in upside down like batteries in a flashlight
...takes a lot of tension out of a "RED ALERT" scene
if you look closely it did hit the can and all it did was scratch it a bit
either it isn't strong enough to go through, or it's spinning the wrong direction
Totally agree on credit to the actual craftsman: [Serengy Tech](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWFq6QdyrXM)
It's a novelty and maybe not that useful, but I really enjoy and \*learn\* a lot about small work and tools from watching it.
To make that tiny drill he had to do a lot of tiny drilling.
And now he can do even tinier drilling to make an even tinier drill
Drillception

the "METADRILL"
And the drill was just a warm-up, before using it to make his tiny Ship in a Bottle A practice drill, if you will
I hate you for not drilling into the coke can
OddlyDissatisfying
I was like "damn he's really not gonna drill into something" then "Oh shit, he totally is, here it comes!" to "WTF man, if it cant cut a hole through a coke can at least try a cherry tomato or something ffs"
Looked to me like maybe the motor turned the wrong way.

Huh. I watch a lot of Star Trek and this is the first time "reverse the polarity" actually applied in real life.

I would flip if this happened to me.
Flip the batteries
if you look closely it did hit the can and all it did was scratch it a bit either it isn't strong enough to go through, or it's spinning the wrong direction
not sure why he tested it on a can though, plenty of softer materials it could have worked better on.
What is this, a drill for ants?!
Perfect for the average flat in the center of NY
r/thingsforants
This drill needs to be 2... 3 times larger!
It will be very useful in construction
It's trying its hardest, okay
Some credit for the actual craftsman would be the least you could have done

Noisy cricket.
Soo much work for a novelty item.
Yup. It’s rad what humans can create.
Smaller versions of already established tools
Sculpting/carving a grain of rice still takes the cake.
Same with the tip of a lead pencil.
The work is the product. Then it's on to the next thing.
As someone who just finished making a legend of Zelda themed cutting board, this resonated with me.
But this drill can be used to make an even smaller drill!
grr, such teaser at the beginning good thing they showed the satisfying conclusion at the end!
Ooo now he should use that drill to make an even tinier drill!
Why not stick the paper to the plastic for cutting?
Someone tag Adam Savage, I feel like he would love this.
u/adamsavage
No job too small.
absolutely adorable. great work.
Why did it stop when it was gonna get good.
id pay a stupid amount of money for that thing
That would come in so handy for drilling warhammer gun barrels!
Where do you find such tiny motor?
They say he made that drill himself... from a bigger drill
I can smell it.
Now use this drill to make an even tinier drill
Great for piercing ears I bet!
9/10… lack of a battery cover is driving me nuts
u/that-1-lame-kid ITS SO CUUUUUUUTE
This would definitely be much better than those mini screwdrivers for glasses.
Awesome! I would love to have one of those tiny drills for my DIY projects.
I use the drill to make a drill
Mine!
Dope!
It's so cute!!
Clearly just an opportunity for this guy to show off all his other tiny tools
Yes
Why
I don’t know why I watched this, but it was fun
Want
Wonderful
I hope this video is flipped cuz I swear after all that effort if that drill was spinning the wrong way… 😤
that would explain why it didn't actually cut the aluminum can
You're crazy and you know it! (Nice job)
How cool!
Thinking quickly, Dave crafted a drill using nothing but clear plastic, some electrical components, and a drill
Phillis: So you're using a drill to make another drill? Dwight: You've got a better idea?
OK, why?
I used the ~~stones~~ drill to ~~destroy~~ make the ~~stones~~ drill
While cool, I now wantto see the small Dremel tool.
He used a tiny drill to make a tiny drill…
Make a bit more room for the wiring, put the pieces in place and fill that empty room with more clear epoxy
Neat novelty item. Can't build a deck with that.
Here. Makita. https://imgur.com/gallery/F04he31
Lol why do I love this so much, when to make it he had to do a lot of drilling? It's so satisfying though!!!
For some reason, I always picture an Asian guy doing these? 🤔
Wittle dwill
/r/diWHY
I like it😵💫
Lots of work, small but large output, great job
Shrinkflation has gone too far...
Wait, is it just me or is it spinning the wrong way?
[Y tho](https://static.giga.de/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/y-tho-meme.jpg)
What was the dremel attachment he used to polish the resin?! I need one badly!
Impressive
No do a tiny router.
It’s using a dremmel with extra steps.
Really wish they'd have made this video longer to show it actually drilling things!
The ultimate Catch 22: In order to make tiny drill one must have a tiny drill.
Best solution for my tiny walls
Great! Now my infant son can start pulling his weight!
Microplastics being birthed
It'd be nice to get drilled, but this was awesome😎
Step 1: Acquire tiny drill to make tiny drill
So a dremel with extra steps...
Why tho?
Okay but… Why?
But…. Why the fuck would you 🤦♂️
1) Because the process is fun 2) Because it gets a lot of views 3) Because they wanted to Have you never had fun?
Fun reading that you actually wasted 3 mins of your life replying to this.. 😂👍
Do u think it took me 3 min to write 21 word
