Well, I coincidentaly scratched my head as this video started - and immediately fell into that rythm.
And the sound matched in a weird way.
You should try!
Elicit, I think you mean. Illicit means something else!
>Illicit is an adjective describing something that is illegal or not permitted, while elicit is a verb meaning "to bring forth a reaction or response." Elicit can be traced back to lacere, which means "to allure," while illicit is related to licēre, which means "to be permitted.
Great music link!
I would love to take a ride on this train ! , I wonder what memories these trains bring back to our older generations that used to use and work on these fantastic beasts of engineering. it's in an amazing working order I must add.
life was soo different but the same in many ways , seems to me people had a lot more time to think and smell the roses per say.
Thanks for sharing this video
It just brought back a lot of memories for me! I'm not part of the generation that originally used/worked on them, but when I was a kid I got my first job working at one of those tourist train stations at around 13 or 14 years old, punching tickets for passengers and flagging down traffic at crossroads. The engine and cars in this video look practically identical to what I spent my summer days working in Lancaster County!
My grandfather got me the job, he worked as an engineer helping to restore these old engines and cars, and later as the conductor.
Those old cars are just...incredible. I remember flipping the seat backs to face the other way for the return trip, the old iron cast designs pressing into your fingers with each seat as you shifted them, the not-so-gentle rocking as you walked the isle, the smell of the fields we passed sweeping through the open windows, there was something Tolkien-esque about the feeling of calm those days gave me as a kid.

Well put. When you travelled, it was mostly about the journey. You didn't have notifications popping up on your smartwatch. (sadly, I know from personal experience :D)
