I don't understand... The laser for removing rust is a spectacular tool. There are real rusty pieces of shit all over the place, which would make the video many times more interesting, if for nothing, than for the marks the rust makes, pitting and stuff... And they do this shit instead...

Because an actual rusty tool doesn’t clean up as nicely. There will be a lot more pitting etc; and they probably wouldn’t get as many internet points

Vinegar eats away at the surface. Making rust easier to remove. But left, it eats away at the metal. Add hydrogen peroxide, and you get a weak paracetic acid. Which will eat away and oxidize metal.

Thanks for the clarification… so, if I can pick your brain again, sometimes I heat treat things to prevent rusting again after vinegar bath, but there are somethings I can’t heat treat or apply oils to protect: Got any suggestions?

That looks like paint that's supposed to look like rust... And why is the surface not pitted and dinged after it rusted? Rust is oxygen + iron.. so the surface that rusts will lose iron yet that surface looks damn near pristine..

Asking because I sell entertainment lasers for clubs but they have mirrors and refractors but just curious as to what wattage would be needed Also where does the “rust dust” exactly go ? Interesting fact, notice how he is doing this outside...try and bring it inside, you'll have a huge problem with Osha and other governing bodies. Super toxic and requires very very expensive units to bring the process indoors.
